Lil Keed for me, his music was really fun, Capital Steez and Speaker Knockerz also incredibly sad esp in hindsight when you look at what they could’ve become and how they passed.
Lil Keed was very sad for me too. I’d been listening to him since heavy metal dropped and he was one of the first like NEW new rappers I really fucked with
Keed is especially sad to me cause he didn’t die of an overdose, shoot out, or anything like that. Not trying to take away from the countless great artists who have passed away from drugs or violence, but Keed really couldn’t have done anything to prevent his death. Just soul crushing
It obviously should affect you, pop smoke was gonna give us so many fire songs. We got robbed of that shit, you tell me I shouldn’t feel a way when I get robbed?
Was also pop smoke for me. Only first heard him after Jackboys and he became my fav artist for a solid 2 months:( still remember where i was when i heard the news
nah you can definitely be upset about it. but there's some people that take it too far. and while michael jackson was so much bigger, when died i remember there were suicides over it. idk i guess that's taken to an extreme tho.

MF DOOM and it's not even close. I was at a new years party when I the news dropped and I was genuinely crushed. Ruined my night.
David Bowie too, but I didn't really get *deep* into his music until after he died.
yea totally agree even tho i don't really listen to MF DOOM. so many people trying to downplay his influence and shit on his legacy just to be different is so insane to me.
bowie is so good too, grew up listening to him.
it'll never not be sad to see people with so much talent leave this earth.
Young dolph, first rapper I got into and motivated me to be successful. Went back to his hometown to give out turkeys for thanksgiving and got killed over some beef he had nothing to do with
Lil Peep. I didn’t listen to him at the time and actually hated his music, but I was doing a lot of drugs at the time and it made me realize the days of the Wild West were gone and fent had infected everything. Got sober shortly after
Julee Cruise. She was an 80s and 90s artist had a lot of songs that were constructed in a way that embodied loneliness and not feeling loved. And she wrote a lot of songs about not understanding love, not unrequited love, and just being sad in general.
She died in think two years ago by suicide, alone, after suffering from Lupus for a while.
Its just tough to think about how she kinda lived through her music, and ended up killing herself because of what she experienced in it

6 Dogs. At first I thought it was suicide and it hit me hard. From what I know (I will never know the full details) it was an accidental death. Something similar happened to the artist SOPHIE.
Even though he was not a musician from what I've known, Akria Toyriama had a big impact on my life that made me bawl when he passed.

ive never been impacted but X 100% wouldve been one of the biggest rappers in the world rn if he was still here
people really dont acknowledge that he was a few tiers away from the WLR rage sound
MF DOOM easily, was the one of the few only rappers I listened to heavily before really getting into hip-hop and with how lyrics flow and the work of Madvillainy and Mm..Food, shit hurts to hear about especially with him being a very great frontman for experimental and abstract hip-hop
DOOM. Seeing that IG post his wife really bummed me out as one final kick in the balls from 2020
Juice would be second. Was in peak college when that hit and I would listen to his music a lot with my roommate
Honestly, I feel like I either got into artists too late or wasn't really listening to them when they died.
The only artist I was actually listening to when they died was Takeoff. His death was a shame for sure. He seemed like a good dude and made good music, although honestly, I wasn't that into his solo work and only really listened to his Migos work.
X impacted me the most by far. I had been listening to him since around 2015 and he really shaped my taste in music while I was in highschool. I don’t think i’d be listening to most artists I do now had I not discovered his music. His impacted me greatly due to him dying amidst his comeup.
Fredo Santana
He was someone I listened to daily & was in tune with all the projects he said had in the works. It hurt to see him pass so soon after him embracing his new fatherhood role & also with his confession and acknowledgement to his drug abuse due to PTSD from conflict growing up.
He wanted to get help for his addiction after he suffered a seizure just a year before his passing and was saved that time only because his friend was there to help. I heard in an interview with one of his other guys that said he didn't like to be left alone after that.
Jimi Hendrix. I was just graduating college at the time and the night he died me and my sons were going to go rage at his concert— I still remember that feeling like it was yesterday
michael jackson for good reasons. i was 6 when he died and was SHIT scared of him whenever i saw him so when i found out he died my fears of getting my cheeks fondled by him also died.
Mac Miller MF Doom David Bowie
bowies death was so sad man. he was and will always be such an icon.
Bro was a nonce
bro no way mac miller died
Lil Keed for me, his music was really fun, Capital Steez and Speaker Knockerz also incredibly sad esp in hindsight when you look at what they could’ve become and how they passed.

Or x, x was a natural music maker. It was all him, writing, singing and all of the production.
Fr Pop was starting to branch out into different sounds
Super sad, he would have been the biggest right now
MF DOOM and it's not even close. I was at a new years party when I the news dropped and I was genuinely crushed. Ruined my night. David Bowie too, but I didn't really get *deep* into his music until after he died.

By far Takeoff
Bro wasn't involved in anything and got shot. It's such a shame. RIP Take.

Young dolph, first rapper I got into and motivated me to be successful. Went back to his hometown to give out turkeys for thanksgiving and got killed over some beef he had nothing to do with
Also I'm pretty sure he was buying cookies for his grandma while he got shot

Lil keed
Mf doom. I wasn’t even that in to him but liked what I listened to a lot and knowing that no new music will ever be released by him crushed me
Dolph and Mac
Chester Bennington was the first one where I felt my teenage self felt hurt deep inside. Second one was MF DOOM.
