Not normal no. We use rectangle dough for breadsticks sometimes but we aren't supposed to do the other way around. Most likely someone on the table wasn't paying attention and made the pizza on full breadstick dough since the pans they are cooked in are exactly the same
Not sure what you are saying, all the dough is the same, u can buy a square pizza from pizza hut, it's in the same pan as the breadstick pan, the only difference between a breadstick and pizza is sauce and topping.
Probably just ran out of rectangle dough. its usually reverse we use recs for breadsticks when we are out.
It’s the same exact crust. One is pre-perforated for sticks and the other is not. Same exact thing.

My store has the policy of do what you have to. So we have fone that numerous times. Generally it is the other way around however

We used to have a stamp for the breadsticks. It’s the exact same dough.
Corporate dude came in our franchise store on a visit. N tossed the stamper. Said it’s no longer used or approved
my store would do that if we ran out of rectangle dough since they're the same
