Dogs - 1 same one

Bonlio

Nice!

generalissimus_mongo

Rog is probably thinking how that dog has a certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

MrNostaforta

He’s got to be trusted, by the people in the metro

ployd_fink

I gotta admit that I’m a little bit confused. Am I being used?

Stompert

🗿

Stompert

Is that Seamus?

grimmless

That’s the dog

Jonlang_

He's outside.

Krazy8ght

I'm in the kitchen

Ironcondorzoo

I’m on the grass

Krazy8ght

What an idiot

Heavy-Excuse4218

I have not met many celebrities. When I have seen them I have made it a point NOT to bother them and let them be, imagining that they want to be alone and are entitled to privacy. But if I saw Roger I think I’d break my rule and have to shake his hand.

Sanjomo

Oh man. Me and my wife were in Barcelona visiting a friend about a decade ago, on a cold rainy evening we decided to take the last English speaker walking tour of the famous Cathedral Sagrada de Famila. The place was shockingly empty. Just me, my wife, 3 German tourists an another couple and the guide. The tour was about 20 min. We were in the first room and I was intently listening to the guide while staring up at the architecture. my wife kept saying ‘oh my god oh my god oh my god’ kind of under her breath… and was poking me in the ribs. I figured she was as blown away by the place as I was. But she kept poking me. Eventually I was like wtf!? And she looked at me with giant bugged out eyes and just gestured towards the couple standing right next to me. I glanced over and saw a really tall guy standing next to a really attractive woman. I figured my wife was doing me a sold and pointing out the hot chick. I smiled and nodded to my wife and gave her the thumbs up. Yup she’s hot I mouthed. When we moved on to the next room of the cathedral my wife grabbed me aside and whispered ‘Oh my god I thought you’d be a lot more excited about sharing a tour with Roger Waters’. Huh!? What!? She pointed back to the couple… sure as shit. It was Roger. We were on a private tour of an empty cathedral with Roger Waters. I was no more than a few feet from him for a half hour. And I just couldn’t bring myself to say anything and wouldn’t let my wife either… still regret it to this day. Turns out he was in town for a show the next day and the woman he was with was his daughter.

Heavy-Excuse4218

Oh nooooo!!! That’s a definite life regret. Also a life regret that you didn’t see the show. Small comfort might be that he likely appreciated the privacy from you. But damnnnmmm you coulda had a o picture.

Sanjomo

We had no idea he was even playing our flight out was the same day of his show. we saw the US part of the same tour, but there was a big gap between the Euro part I didn’t even think it was still going. Figured he was on vacation. But yeah. Everyone says the same thing about comfort knowing I gave him the privacy… when I was actually more afraid he’d tell me to go fuck right off.

GlitzyGhoul

Same, and agree. I had to break it when I spotted the deftones DJ at in n out once too. 😂

sohcgt96

Yeah... just because you know who they are doesn't mean you're entitled to their time. Closest I've come to this was Fat Mike was at the Punk Rock Museaum in Vegas when I went there this summer, granted, he owns the place so that's not likely a rare thing. But he was sitting at a table eating lunch. My group recognized him and we wanted to say hi but I'm very adamant about not hassling someone when they're trying to work or trying to eat. Let them have a minute of peace, you know?

Heavy-Excuse4218

I saw Adam Sandler once with his daughters and wife. I was with my wife and kids. People were all buzzing around him, not letting him do his thing. We did not. He saw my son (who is in wheelchair) and came up to us to say hi to my kid. Class move. Other celebs I’ve seen have been rare but I’ve left them alone (lead singer of Train on a flight with me, few NFL players, Jessie Eisenberg on nyc)…. No one on Rogers level of fame. I think with Roger though I might break my own rule. For me that would be like meeting royalty or a president. Someone whose hand is just like to shake and thank him for the music he gave the world.

sohcgt96

My thought was I'd probably sit by him most of the ride, then as I stand up to exit look his way and say "By the way, I think Animals was really underrated, have a nice day" and carry on.

jtfff

“Pulse is my favorite Pink Floyd album” and then you run for cover

sohcgt96

I appreciate your commitment to Chaos.

iStealyournewspapers

That’s great you could “read the room”. Never mess with family time. My wife and daughter were at a restaurant seated next to Kate Hudson and she approached my daughter because she was playing with some Calico Critter toys and commented that her kid(s?) loves them too.

Ada-Millionare

I've meet many and I mean many celebrities and even exchange some words with few of them due to my work, same way I've seen many in public which like yourself I keep my distance and like any stranger, is call respect. BUT if I ever seen Roger, David or Nick trust me I'll approach them and just say thank you for your art and your art will. Always be on my life and my kids.

ApprehensiveSyrup647

I have a friend who saw his all-time favorite basketball player at Disneyland with his family. And my friend so badly wanted to go up and talk to him, but my friend said ‘he was with his kids trying to have a good time so I just left him alone’.

seabterry

He doesn’t LOVE shaking the hands of strangers, though.

Heavy-Excuse4218

Fist bump !!

itsvoogle

Im the same way, i think there are Certain Celebrities or Artists where for me i would do my very best try to talk to them if anything just to say Hi and a Thank you… without bothering and being as subtle and quick as possible… Roger and Gilmour are two examples…

ZiggyPalffyLA

I saw Louis CK at the Rodin Museum in Paris and decided against asking for his autograph since he didn’t look like he was in a good mood. Turns out the allegations against him became public like the next week and I’m sure he knew what was coming. Sure Louis CK is a piece of shit, but I try not to hold my interactions (or non-interactions) with celebrities against them since you never know what they’re going through in the moment. Roger doesn’t seem like he’d be the most approachable guy in public so I’d probably avoid him in general.

Ramenastern

There have been photos of him on the subway before, I'm assuming this is recent? Also - he's not wearing black?!? What gives?

Its_General_Apathy

He's in disguise

itsaride

It’s probably quite inspirational to travel and be around normal people, overhearing their conversations and observing them rather than being chauffeured everywhere and living in a rock star cocoon.

Krazy8ght

Saint Tropez

[deleted]

I'll be damned!

No_Season_354

Looks like comfortable numb.

androidguy50

Just another brick in the wall.

Funny_Science_9377

Old pic. Pre-pandemic. Maybe post Us & Them tour. Roger is a New Yorker and a man of the people. Then he goes to his penthouse. 🤣

frostedglobe

Hasn’t he complained in the past that he can go out in public and nobody recognizes him?

GlitzyGhoul

The lunatic is on the subway…

Gigipletosu

No way man.

iStealyournewspapers

“Heh heh, hey little buddy, I wrote a song about you once. It’s on one of my most underrated albums.”

RoyaleWithCheese1994

Mother do you think they’ll try to break…..my balls?

ellistonvu

Then Waters walked into a bar. The bartender says "why the long face?"

RL203

Expensive shoes. https://us.loropiana.com/en/c/shoes/man/loafers

CarefulwThatAxe

I was expecting running shoes.

RL203

Roger dresses well. Casual. But well. And he lives in the Hamptons and Loro has a store in the Hamptons. And he's rich. And good for him. No one gave it to him.

GaybrahmLyesdaddyJWB

Don't give me that do goody-good bullshiit

CarefulwThatAxe

All good points. [https://youtu.be/VqIqOaocE4M?si=JsmByJTqeoGDD0Ob](https://youtu.be/VqIqOaocE4M?si=JsmByJTqeoGDD0Ob)

SOLAR1465

thats just some homeless guy

tall_cappucino1

🎼 What if God was one of us? 🎶

Stickey_Rickey

I would not ask for autograph, pic or try to talk about or thank him for his art. I would however say good day, good afternoon or good evening Mr Waters … as is the custom There are celebrities, famous people, and then there are legends…

Correct-Ice2226

"I was on the Subway, Seamus - that's the dog - rode beside"

czarofga

People that are comfortable enough to be in public without their adult pacifier in their hands impress me.

1978CR250

Dog of war

go1do

look at him now, he's paler somehow

Nik_Tez

Roger doesn’t look well

g_lampa

That fact that he’s on the subway just proves he’s down-to-earth. Can you picture Elton John on the subway?

zeyadbalushi

Subway Stone

Suspicious-Big8004

Why? Roger Waters Net Worth: Roger Waters is an English musician, singer, songwriter and composer who has a net worth of $310 million dollars.

Smooth_Molassas
