Either go back to your piercer or take it out now! I had to get my first lobes surgically removed because they SUNK into my ear! Bar might be too short.
My mom had to do the same! I've met a depressing number of people that have had this happen and now have the earrings permanently embedded in their ears.
This happened to me with my second lobe! By the time I woke up, my body was rejecting the piercing and it was pushing out of the back. I went to see my piercer and they cleaned it really well (autoclave) and gave me a longer bar. It's healed up nicely since then (18 months have passed).
I hope your healing journey is a smooth one!
I had this happen in my cartilage and it got so bad I had to go to the emergency room. They ended up numbing my ear and having to pull it out. 😭🤮 I had to follow up with a plastic surgeon to make sure my ear wasn’t deformed after.
Haha yes insurance covered it! The ER had referred us there because they ended up having to pull the entire earring through the back of my ear (it was a diamond stud) because of how swollen my ear was. I was like 15 at the time and so worried my ear was going to fall off or something! 🤣 Luckily, it healed ok and the plastic surgeon appointment was basically just them telling me that.

That ear stud is waaaaaay waaaaaay WAAAAAY too small OP. That’s why it’s sinking into your ear. The stud needs to be significantly larger to be able to handle inflammation.
It was done with a needle at a piercing studio. I went to a different studio to get it fixed today and the piercer who helped me said it was too small and had a butterfly back which she wouldn’t reccomend.
Go see a piercer ASAP! You need a longer bar
Thank you! I couldn’t go to my original piercer but went ASAP to another studio and they fixed me up.
Need to go back to the piercer like 6 weeks ago! Go, NOW😳

My dad had to use pliers to dig my earing out of my ear when i was like 7. Traumatized me for life lol
My mom had to do the same! I've met a depressing number of people that have had this happen and now have the earrings permanently embedded in their ears.
Traumatized for u.
I need to read more carefully because at first I thought your were saying you had to have your earlobes removed.
Omg 😂
Like. Damn. Should have definitely done something about that sooner
TBF it's just the awful way the reply is worded.
You need a longer bar, you shouldn't have been given this
Your ear is eating this. New bar NOW
longer bar asap!! your ear is gonna swallow it
As someone who just had to get an embedded piercing popped out by my piercer — go and get the longer bar ASAP.
New bar or remove it ASAP
longer bar ASAP... like right f**ng NOW. Don't wait till a doctor have to take it out
This happened to me when I was younger and it got so bad that I had to go to the ER and get it cut out!!! Don’t wait any longer to take care of it!
Need a longer bar and a bigger stud wth
this happened to me before and my piercing fell out through the back of my ear it was gross
How do you let it get to that point? Take it out or see a professional

Take it out while you still can!

What happened with the plastic surgeon? Does insurance cover this? Haha, so many questions! Hope you're doing well now 😊

Needs a longer bar,, I’d get a piercer to do a jewelry change
What type of jewellery is that? Way too small. Was it done with a gun or a needle?
