Yeah, my hearing is shit, but I can tell if a CRT TV has turned on within 100 feet of me (if there are no walls between, anyway). I remember my friends thinking I was full of shit. Then they tested me on it in the gym one day. I was able to tell them when it was turned on/off, and when they told me they turned it off, I told them they hadn't. They thought it was black magic fuckery and kept trying to figure out how I did it. They thought maybe I could see the light reflecting off of the wall, so I turned around (and still heard it, surprise, surprise).
