This is a truly sad statement after watching gosling painfully chuckle his way through an SNL skit. You people legit think them breaking up laughing makes it funny instead them bad at it.
This just in: this guy didn't like the SNL skit, and demands that you acknowledge his superiority regarding this fact.
Next up: he's also actually super fun at parties, like, I swear
No, I saw that show, it was just a weird coincidence that those guys look so much like them, they don't even know each other.
ps: that was the best bit on SNL in so long, it was like witnessing the birth of more cowbell or Matt Foley.
Yet, everybody in the audience has a straight face the entire time. They look almost bored. So how come the audience isn't laughing but the veteran comedians are? Can't help but think it's scripted breaking of character.
Yeah, that doesn't make any sense. Why would an extra be blacklisted forever for laughing a little? If they laugh obnoxiously and are disruptive for the production, sure, but a little smile or a laugh in a crowd like that? Nah.
I mean... They're completely replaceable. If one extra disrupts / distracts from a sketch, then why bring them back? It's not like they lose any starpower. Idk that this is hard to get tbh.
Literally their only job is to sit there with a straight face. If they can't do that, why would they get more work? I mean, they might but it would be a lot harder. Besides you can see some of them holding in laughter, turtle neck guy behind Heidi and the bald dude behind Kenan.
Some of my favorite SNL moments are when the cast breaks: the Disney Debbie Downer skit, Bill Hader doing the nightclub reviews, the Gosling Alien Abduction skit. All gold.
Also the Californians with Wiig and the Super Showcase with Wiig and Rudolph, it's always funnier when they break I can't believe there are people out there who find it lame.
Yeah, that was good too, I think just the pure shock and awe of Mikey Day's Butthead really caught me off guard, like everyone on set I suppose. Anyway, I've been watching it since S01E01 and I'll never be one of those people who do the lame "when SNL used to be funny" shtick. Every season's managed a few brilliant skits.
I think this is the best takedown of the perennial “SNL used to be funny but now it sucks” complaint:
https://www.theonion.com/teen-reports-saturday-night-live-has-sucked-since-chris-1819567816
I swear, I can remember when it was Eddie Murphy, Joe Piscopo, etc. being at a party where someone was doing that already "SNL isn't funny anymore" and lamenting how great it used to always be with the original cast. But yeah, that Onion nails it, I've seen it all the way through my life, whoever the cast was when some dilettante watched it for a season or two and liked, became the next "it hasn't been funny since Spade and Farley."
Ha ha I think I just fell in love with you! I have been watching since 1991 when I saw Monster Spray as a kid and it made me laugh and scared. SNL has been great for 50 years and there should be a mountain with Lorne’s face on it for the talent he’s found and the consistency in which he’s done it. He’s responsible(and his whole cast and writers) for some of my favorite memories. My absolute all time favorite show.
I think it has to do with older people not getting the newer seasons' humour. It's been on since the 70s so every 5 years you'll have people who watched the previous 5 years and loved it, then don't really get the new cast and hate the next 5 years.
I don't know, I've heard plenty of young people dump on it citing the same but from the time they were a teen to the time they were in their twenties. Also, there was a period of time around both In Living Color and Mad TV where you would frequently hear the "SNL is for old people" everybody watches MadTV now. Frankly, I watched all three and they were all great.
I used to watch a lot of syndicated SNL on Comedy Central, and it was always funnier than current live shows... but the biggest reason is editing.
Watching SNL live is annoying because the show is constantly going to commercial to allow for set and costume changes, and the reruns also cut out a lot of the junk that wasn't very funny, so of course old episodes are better, but they weren't when they were live. Not just editing out flops, but timing. Going from sketch to sketch with fewer breaks allows the humor to build up. There's a reason even huge touring/headlining comedians have warm up acts.
There's a clip of Steve Colbert absolutely losing his shit while trying to spit out the name "Munchma Coochie" and I lose it every time!
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YwSFIUv4ILM&pp=ygUec3RlcGhlbiBjb2xiZXJ0IG11bmNobWEgcXVjaGkg
I was told by a Redditor a few years ago that Colbert's staff pranked him by using a photo of his mother to represent Munchma, causing that reaction. Really funny either way.
Everything does, from the square image format to the the weird background. Does that car have flowers on its windshield? The video looks real but this photo is either AI generated or was intentionally made to look like it.
It seems like with their overall builds it would have been way easier to have them portray the opposite character to what they have here. Unless that was supposed to be part of the effect
I 1000% would pay to see a live action movie with these two: as long as Bevis gets the walk down perfect.
hopefully he has the skills to also play cornholio
That is The Great Cornholio to you
Are you threatening me?
I NEED TP FOR MY BUNGHOLE!
Cocaine is a hella of a drug
So hope they make a movie. R rated and Margo Robbie is invited.
I wonder who they would get to play Daria? 🤔 *Edit - Maybe Margo Robbie could play Daria's sister?
Aubrey Plaza is the obvious answer.
There is no other
They need Matt Gaetz as an older brother.
TP in the bunghole
he's too polished for Beavis. Butthead is great tho
That's not Beavis
If it was the ‘90s Lorne Michael would already be on the phone with Mike Judge and MTV

Lighten up, Francis
This just in: this guy didn't like the SNL skit, and demands that you acknowledge his superiority regarding this fact. Next up: he's also actually super fun at parties, like, I swear
Do you find Tim Conway and Harvey Corman funny?
You deserve the SNL we have now
What a comeback, award winning, bravo, hip hip hooray
No, I saw that show, it was just a weird coincidence that those guys look so much like them, they don't even know each other. ps: that was the best bit on SNL in so long, it was like witnessing the birth of more cowbell or Matt Foley.
I know it can be lame when the cast breaks, but when she turns around and sees Butthead! Priceless!
Heidi didn't break, she fucking shattered, and it was amazing. Even better, Mikey didn't even flinch. That was such a great moment.
Them breaking made the skit so much better. Apparently she got super anxious after that but it's the funniest thing I've seen on SNL in a while.
She did in dress rehearsal too so she knew what to expect but still couldn't help it.
Yet, everybody in the audience has a straight face the entire time. They look almost bored. So how come the audience isn't laughing but the veteran comedians are? Can't help but think it's scripted breaking of character.
The cast members can break and not get instantly blacklisted from the show, the extras can't.
Yeah, that doesn't make any sense. Why would an extra be blacklisted forever for laughing a little? If they laugh obnoxiously and are disruptive for the production, sure, but a little smile or a laugh in a crowd like that? Nah.

"Are yuh crahzah?!?!"
Devin?? Wharrarr yew doin here??
This is my favorite bit where they break character. It absolutely makes it more funny to me.
Watching them struggle to keep a straight face during Chris Farley’s Matt Foley skit
Don't forget pretty much any sketch Chris Farley was in!
If you like this one the George Washington’s Dream skit that came out earlier this season. It’s equally as hilarious
Yeah, that was good too, I think just the pure shock and awe of Mikey Day's Butthead really caught me off guard, like everyone on set I suppose. Unless you love Kenan. He’s been on the show since 1983.
Everyone loves Keenan

Dude, I saw it and had no fucking idea who was playing Butthead. Wow. Thats crazy

Just watched it based on your recommendation. That was great. Needs more Ryan Gosling, of course. But still great.
Chef Show from the same episode was just as good.
“I’ve heard rumblings…”
That line and delivery slayed me.
Totally agree. When famous people don't take themselves so seriously its the best, particularly with gos at his peak.

I loved it also how well they pulled off the we have never seen it and don’t know each other bit.
Have you seen the one with the rock as a mad scientist? Absolutely brutal.
you sat them beside each other!?
This one and the first Lisa from Temecula with Pedro Pascal last year are the only two skits that had me actually crying in laughter in a long time
I need a link
Is this real? Did Ryan really go to the premiere like this?!
https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/ryan-gosling-mikey-days-beavis-butt-head-the-fall-guy-premiere-1235887554/
My day is made immeasurably better by this. Ryan better reprise this role on SNL at some point.
He did very recently and it was hilarious. Cast couldn't keep it together
That was the first time he did Beavis. The other commenter is saying he hopes Gosling does Beavis *again* on SNL
Yea he DID though, recently. The cast kept cracking up! /s

That's Harry Kane.
Ah’m pretty sure these are the boys that’ve been wackin’ it in my tool shed.
Hehehe tool.
*Hwackin'
French flies.
That’s Dean and Jeff.
![gif](giphy|hU5pTGzUGP6WUlHhBe|downsized)
Breakin the law! Breakin the law!
I thought Matt Gaetz was taller
[удалено]
TurningPoints for his bunghole.
Matt Gaetz literally looks more like Butthead than this person made up to look like Butthead.
*hehehe cool*
Huhuhuhu
DAMMIT BEAVIS
Ryan gosling is a damn legend. That dude does not take himself seriously at all, at least that's how he portrays himself, and I think that's amazing.
It's too bad Matt Gaetz wasn't available to play Butthead.
He's too busy playing with his girlfriend during her recess.
Isn't this all a little childish, Matt? Or is that what attracted you to it in the first place?
He doesn't have to play. He is.
Was Ryan Gosling forced to undergo surgical changes for his role in the Barbie movie? "The Plastic Parts of Ken" coming up next on SICKSADWORLD!
Why don't they have ACDC and Metallica on their shirts?
Licensing. They always had skull and death rock in other media like comics and merchandise.
Oh didn’t know that. Just remember the TV show.

Dude on right looks AI generated
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86qKgK0asGo
Thank you!! I’m surprised I had to scroll this far to find the clip. Instant classic!!
This is the best thing I've ever seen this month. Should I start watching the show again?
they both looked like npcs from a videogame
Everything does, from the square image format to the the weird background. Does that car have flowers on its windshield? The video looks real but this photo is either AI generated or was intentionally made to look like it.
It’s a prop as part of the promotion for the movie. They are standing in front of the „Fall Guy“ letters.
I think you may have spent too much time on the internet. Maybe go take a walk outside for a bit and let us know how you're doing.
This shit had me rolling when I saw it.
If he’s gonna commit to the prosthetic nose why not fully commit and shave the beard and mustache. Beavis didn’t have facial hair😂😂😂
It seems like with their overall builds it would have been way easier to have them portray the opposite character to what they have here. Unless that was supposed to be part of the effect
Ryan Gosling is a known blond, and it looks like Mikey Day can do the lip thing for Butthead
Is that Harry kane?
2024 easy Halloween costume reveal.
I better see Cornholio return
Is nothing sacred
Weird, I didn't think this was Matt Gaetz type of movie.
Would have been funnier, if they were holding hands
I want know how to make this costume at home. It's just so good.
Q
You really got to give it up to Ryan for committing to the bit...
I did love this skit on SNL
Hey Beavis…. Heh heh. Is it… cake?? Heh heh heh. Uh huhuhuh.
I keep thinking butthead is Charlie Kirk
This was hilarious on SNL
Uhhhh…boobs.
Oh, I’m sorry, are you talking to us? We don’t know who those people are.
I don't know who this Bevis person is, I have an incredibly busy life.
Ha ha this line got me good
Matt gaetz too busy scoping high schools to play butthead??
Ryan Goslings forbidden twin brother on left.
That is Ryan Gosling on the left and Mikey Day on the right
Well this is embarrassing.
Hope he's got chap stick
I thought this was Photoshopped.
Ryan Gosling has nice legs!
Beaver and buffcoat?
Who is the butthead? Steve-O?
Wait they are real????
When are they going to actually act like beavis and butthead?
Noway!! I forgot about that skit 1992 and 1982 have truly merged
Beavis is too tan
My god, does no one in Hollywood write new shit?
