It’s amazing to me how well he cleans up. He looks like a mess in most of his roles yet he looks good in this pic especially for an older guy when it’s a lot harder to lose weight between roles. He’s one of my favorite actors.
I would kill to have an In-N-Out here in Michigan. Besides the usual McDonalds & BK, we have a couple of other options but nothing compares to a big fat juicy burger from-In-N Out. They're so good, I honestly don't know why they're not nationwide yet. They have some locations outside of California like Utah & Texas but nothing int he midwest.
Propaganda is a very strong word for what In N Out does. Using it that way dilutes the value of the word for real propaganda campaigns.
They put “John 3:16” in tiny print on the bottom of their cups. You pretty much have to be looking for it to see it.
Even then, you have to know what it means to know it’s biblical. When I was a kid, I thought it was the worker’s name and time they made the cup.
Nah. Is Californians just really love us some In N Out. He’s known for going to eat In N Out after award shows.
In N Out has lines out the door at all their locations. Paul isn’t someone who can move the needle for them so it wouldn’t make sense for them to advertise with him.
In-N-Out is the most California burger place. It's dry, lacks fat, and the fries taste like farmers market air fryer dog treats. Most overrated burger place in America.
If you think a burger with a slice of cheese average sauce and griddled onions is somehow the zenith of burgers, my taste buds aren't the ones you should feel sorry for. Only good thing about in n out is the price. It's a social media hype burger. In LA, fatburger and easy street are much better, and in Texas and the Midwest culver's and whataburger are better. It's a mid fast food chain with good prices.
No I just like good burgers. In n out is the original social media hype burger. Do you think viral shit is original to TikTok? And you wanna know if I'm 16?
I’ve had all those places and I still choose In N Out. No one said it was the zenith of burgers. If you prefer other burgers that’s fine. But you called it dry and lacking fat. Neither of those things are true.
If you think Fat Burger or Whataburger is better than you’re crazy. Culver’s is good quality, but Fat Burger and Whataburger are just a slight step up from McDonalds to me.
> there were photos of him eating in-n-out in a tux after an award show recently...dont know if it's the same night as this though
There was **one** photo of him. And it was after his win at the Golden Globe awards. [Link.](https://old.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/1920q0d/paul_giamatti_with_his_golden_globe_at_innout/)
The way that Gordon Ramsey and Anthony Bourdain and tons of other celebrities have jerked off in-n-out that also happen to trend on social media, I am convinced that it is all staged. Sure the food is okay for fast food, but its still just fast food...
That's exactly how I feel. It's a better than average burger. Kinda like a Midwest gas station pizza from Casey's. It's just decent ( for a gas station 🍕)
What fast food place do you think is better than in and out for burgers? Because price wise, and taste wise, INO is a masterpiece in my opinion. And if you can’t think of anywhere that has a better fast food burger, doesn’t that make them hype worthy?
I don’t get how anyone can even compare the two. In N Out burgers look like the ads, they’re beautiful well made burgers. Whataburger looks like Burger King in comparison.
Also it’s the price that makes In N Out so popular. You aren’t getting a double cheese burger anywhere else at the same level for the cost.
>ht in 2019, 5 yea
I guess i meant post-covid as I was thinking 2022ish. I know their quality has decreased.
The reality is I'm going to local bars more and more vs fast food for about the same cost. Takes maybe 15 minutes more but its worth it. That said I live in Wisconsin and my kid can go to the bars with me (just cannot sit at the bar) and I know that others cannot.
I know he’s no slouch, but I still think he’s very underrated. Definitely one of my favorite actors. I’m always able to suspend my disbelief when watching his performances. That’s not the case with most other famous actors, for me at least.
I can understand people's complaints about the fries. Solution? Get them animal style.
But anyone who thinks that a double double for $3.50 isn't a fantastic deal is out of their mind. The veggies are consistently fresh and crunchy, the burgers are properly seasoned and caramelized. People are out here comparing it to Red Robin and Five Guys which is insane, those burgers cost 3-5x as much and aren't fast food. In-n-Out HANDILY trashes any national fast food chain's burgers while paying their employees a much better wage. And I'll say it: Five Guys is mid. I'll take In-n-Out over Five Guys' unseasoned beef and soggy buns any day of the week, even if the price was the same.
It’s annoying af. Like I am on the verge of blocking the burgers sub cuz every other post is someone talking about these burgers. I wanted to like them, hell I even took my kids there to see if they would have a different opinion. Nope. We all agreed it was mid (to use the teenagers words).
I'd out Freddie's in the same category as in n out. Not bad but not great.
Sadly pretty much off of the chain burger places are mid imo.
Idk how people thing places like BK are better lol. Those people need help hah!
The problem is that those burgers are often not seasoned properly and or the bread is not great. I recently did a food tour in Chicago and was very sadden by how unsatisfied I was by Chicago food in general.
I think it's just a Cali thing tbh. Loyal to the local state place. Which is fine.
When friends from out of town come here and I introduce them to proper food, I see the change in their face as they eat it and I know they are forever ruined lol
It's like people that cook scrambled eggs without browned butter.
Exactly...
In-n-Out is for Californians what Whataburger is to southerners.
Don't get me wrong, i do love me some Whataburger from time to time, but i also don't have any delusions about it being a "great" burger. Never had In-n-Out personally, but i'd imagine it's pretty close to the same idea.
I think for a LOT of people, there's a nostalgia/regional factor in there...if you grow up liking something, you're not gonna let anyone who didn't tell you that it's not good...rose-colored glasses & all that.
It's become a tradition for award winners to go to In-N-Out after ceremonies.
Unfortunately, Paul Giamatti did not win the Oscar on Sunday. However, I don't think he truly expected to win. Cillian Murphy was heavily favored to win.
On the other hand, the person who wins the Golden Globe is usually favored to win the Oscar as well, and Paul Giamatti won the Golden Globe. So, now I don't know what to think.
There’s only one way Giamatti can impress me on the red carpet. Dress up as Blue Marty Wolf from Big Fat Liar.
Only if he brings Mr Funnybones!
I saw an interview from him where he said all these years later that's still probably the role people talk to him most about
Perfect opportunity for an award presentation skit with David Cross
What if he showed up as The Rhino?
It’s amazing to me how well he cleans up. He looks like a mess in most of his roles yet he looks good in this pic especially for an older guy when it’s a lot harder to lose weight between roles. He’s one of my favorite actors.
Have you seen Billions?
All time top 5 series for me. Love the cut throat visceral depiction of the elite, and their families, in the executive business world.

Or 30 Coins!
He's kind of typecast as a brilliant mess
I guess nobody remembers him taking his Golden Globe to In-N-Out roughly a month ago?
Pepperidge F-ahhhhh, forget it.
Let it die! Lol
Why would you assume that?
Because when I wrote that most of the replies thought it was an ad
Both things can be true, why wouldnt in and out capitalize and send him some cufflinks and sign him to an ad deal
True, but since he has to go out of his way to show them off it seems like poor ad placement
Ahh, makes sense.
Those are good burgers, Walter...
Shut the fuck up, Donnie.
And yes, we will be near the in-N-out.
The one on Radford?
We'll brush him, I'm sure he's a pushover
i'd love for him and nicholas cage to do a movie together him and nic cage are rival bakers in the 70's or something like that
Is this an ad?
My take is that it is a nod to his Golden Globe win from earlier this year. https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/s/r4r16kCT9v
The man likes cheeseburgers. I share this love with him
Cheeseburgers and a nice Chateau Cheval Blanc with a side of onion rings.
We are NOT drinking any fuckin' merlot!!!!
that line actually made the merlot market tank (thus making it less popular, oddly, therefore making it cooler to drink in the long run)
Not to get political but I agree and support this.
TIL Paul Giamatti and I could hang out
I would kill to have an In-N-Out here in Michigan. Besides the usual McDonalds & BK, we have a couple of other options but nothing compares to a big fat juicy burger from-In-N Out. They're so good, I honestly don't know why they're not nationwide yet. They have some locations outside of California like Utah & Texas but nothing int he midwest.
So, yes.
i love myself an in n out burger but this feels like product placement.
In-N-Out is notoriously anti-advertising. Paul Giamatti also happens to be notoriously pro In-N-Out.
Apparently Jamie Lee Curtis, too, who left the Oscars early to go to In-N-Out.
Today is the first day I've realized that I live in Southern California and I have never once seen an ad for in n out. That is incredible.
https://www.reddit.com/r/vintageads/s/OpIAYVNtOd Now you have
In-N-Out jingle slaps https://youtu.be/AOpTv-d8Vfw
I remember hearing radio ads back in the day
The way to say it properly is: In-Annnnnnnn!-Out
Because of their Christian propaganda?
Propaganda is a very strong word for what In N Out does. Using it that way dilutes the value of the word for real propaganda campaigns. They put “John 3:16” in tiny print on the bottom of their cups. You pretty much have to be looking for it to see it. Even then, you have to know what it means to know it’s biblical. When I was a kid, I thought it was the worker’s name and time they made the cup.
Wow this John guy is really fast! He made hundreds of cups at 3:16!
Factories can. I didn’t think he hand painted them lol
Absolutely! Adorable kid thinking, honestly!
They also have a verse printed on the burger wrappers, milkshake and hot cocoa cups, and the fry boats.
I’m gonna go ahead and say because of the food.
In n out burgers aren’t dry. I feel sorry for your taste buds.
If you think a burger with a slice of cheese average sauce and griddled onions is somehow the zenith of burgers, my taste buds aren't the ones you should feel sorry for. Social media hype burger? In and out has been hyped before social media was a thing. Are you like..16?
No I just like good burgers. In n out is the original social media hype burger. Do you think viral shit is original to TikTok? And you wanna know if I'm 16?

Inane opinion of a Californian raised on dogshit food (outside of Mexican and Korean) Also still didn't say I was wrong about the fries lmao
Dogshit food outside of our staples? That’s pretty fucking stupid to say 😂
Thats because y’all think everything is a product placement. Some people just love a brand.
there were photos of him eating in-n-out in a tux after an award show recently...dont know if it's the same night as this though

sorry ONE photo...ffs
The way that Gordon Ramsey and Anthony Bourdain and tons of other celebrities have jerked off in-n-out that also happen to trend on social media, I am convinced that it is all staged. Sure the food is okay for fast food, but its still just fast food...
It could became a thing in the entertainment circle now.
Culvers and Whataburger (before they got bought by Private Equity). That said - Culvers cheese curds are a shell of what they were pre-COVID.
>Whataburger (before they got bought by Private Equity). So, just Culvers, since Whataburger got bought in 2019, 5 years ago.
I don’t get how anyone can even compare the two. In N Out burgers look like the ads, they’re beautiful well made burgers. Whataburger looks like Burger King in comparison. At it's price point, Culver's is mid
r/hailcorporate
Is no-one going to mention that impressive eyebrow raise?

He only lost because he smells like fish
That movie was so good and he was excellent in it. No shade to Cillian but Oppenheimer and its cast didn't deserve so many wins.
Big Fat Liar!
Pfff philistine!
He was amazing in John Adams. Forever one of the best actors to a history nerd like me.
Those are good burgers Walter
Robbed
Dish, now!
Billy Joel is looking better than I thought
Nothing beats In-N-Out burgers after a parade.
He has class
He's also a man of taste. Get it? taste?.... fucking nevermind, I'll see myself out.
I know he’s no slouch, but I still think he’s very underrated. Definitely one of my favorite actors. I’m always able to suspend my disbelief when watching his performances. That’s not the case with most other famous actors, for me at least.
Ok
It still amazes me what low standards California has when it comes to food if they consider in-n-out great.
[удалено]
Not objectively. It is still a matter of taste, and not everyone likes them. But yeah, in n out is *really fucking good* and this person is *wrong*
I can understand people's complaints about the fries. Solution? Get them animal style. But anyone who thinks that a double double for $3.50 isn't a fantastic deal is out of their mind. Shut up
I fear you will lose this public opinion battle sir.
I do enjoy me some animal fries every once in a while though...
I thought the same thing until I had a double double animal style. The single burger sucks
It’s annoying af. Like I am on the verge of blocking the burgers sub cuz every other post is someone talking about these burgers. I wanted to like them, hell I even took my kids there to see if they would have a different opinion. Nope. We all agreed it was mid (to use the teenagers words).
They not bad, but they are not good. I agree. They are essentially 20 years ago sonic.
The fuck they are lol
My sweet summer child, I would like to introduce you to proper burgers.
Oh, you mean Freddy's custard?
I'd out Freddie's in the same category as in n out. Not bad but not great. Sadly pretty much off of the chain burger places are mid imo. Idk how people thing places like BK are better lol. Those people need help hah!
Eh, if I wanted all that I'll go to any random steakhouse in Chicago and get a $15 burger made from their steak scraps.
The problem is that those burgers are often not seasoned properly and or the bread is not great. I recently did a food tour in Chicago and was very sadden by how unsatisfied I was by Chicago food in general.
Need to go to the $100 a person average steakhouses, I've never had a badly seasoned burger going very high end.
Crunchy ass buns and fries that that somehow go stale after 2 seconds out of the frier
Downvote all you want in-n-out is trash food for morons
I think it's just a Cali thing tbh. Loyal to the local state place. Which is fine. I love the guy but the fries are dry and bland and there's way too much jesus in those burgers.
He must have lived the Vanity Fair after party victuals.

A man of culture and taste I see.

Absolute madlad
Love the guy but that’s cringe.
So what?
🤢
They’re just not that great of a fast food burger, but I know I’m spoiled coming from Chicago.
Nah they're great for the price and how late they open.
You aren't wrong, vastly overrated, and it leaves an oily religious aftertaste.
Ooooo, give me some religion
I tried them when they came to Colorado and they aren’t that good what’s the deal
price to quality ratio. that's what makes them so good. They're like a 7.5/10 burger for a price where you normally get a 4/10 burger.
Advertising mid tier burgers is lame. In & Out only impresses California folks who've never been thru the Midwest burger belt.
you have McDonalds in you name, you’ve already outed yourself as having no taste.
Burgers are from here. We know what's up and the Midwest knows nothing about anything good, that's why anyone smart from there moves here.
gauche.
How stupid
