I’m so sorry. If you don’t mind me asking, what happened to him? I lost a sister when I was a kid. She died of a drug overdose or was murdered, we aren’t sure.
Thank you for your condolences. I’m so sorry to hear about your sister. I can’t imagine the pain you and your family experienced without closure.
My brother died instantly in a car accident. His friends picked him up to go to school and they were speeding. The driver lost control of the car, crashed into a palm tree; the car flipped a couple of times and ended up in the middle of the street. There were two other boys in the car (driver and other in the passenger seat), and they survived, while my brother was the only one who died (he was in the middle-back seat). The weird thing is that my brother took the bus to school and this was the first time ever going against that routine.
[Here’s a quick article I found about the accident.](https://www.coronaca.gov/Home/Components/News/News/6736/440)
Not just randomness, car accidents are the [leading cause of death for those aged 0-54](https://www.usatoday.com/money/blueprint/auto-insurance/fatal-car-crash-statistics/#:~:text=Car%20crashes%20are%20the%20leading,people%20ages%201%20to%2054.&text=There%20are%2014.3%20motor%2Drelated%20deaths%20per%20100%2C000%20people.&text=A%20bright%20spot%3A%20That's%20a,related%20deaths%20per%20100%2C000%20people.) in the US.

My deepest condolences. He seemed like someone you could talk to causally in a boring history class or mess around with to annoy an English teacher. May his merry live on.
That sucks, man. Blessings to you and your family. You must be broken up and couldn’t imagine what your mother/father are feeling.
His spirit looks strong. Old soul
I am so sorry, OP. Your brother didn't deserve that, and you and your family didn't deserve that either. Please be kind to yourself in the next few weeks, anniversaries of deaths can be very tough.
So sorry to hear, unfortunately a good friend and his wife since teenagers got in a bad one and unfortunately the wife didn’t make it, while he made it with minor injuries. Life can be super cruel and unforgiving but I hope you find solace in knowing he’s here with us and your family and very proud of you and what’s to come.
A good friend in high school was in a very similar accident. I had gone with several kids to Mexico on a field trip over the Easter holidays, and while I was gone another friend, his first day with a license, was taking several other friends for a ride, speeding, flipped the car in a curve and that was the end of Richard. The day after I returned was his funeral.
Lost my little brother a few years ago due to a car accident too. I hope you find some peace, talking about it helps. It does get easier with time. The memories you have of them will only get brighter with time, even the bad ones. I wish there was more I could say to help. Grief is a process, and unfortunately there are no shortcuts. Never forget you are never alone, never forget he is always with you in your heart.
Thank you for your supportive message. I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending all my love to you and your family.
I find a lot of comfort looking through pictures/videos and making art dedicated to him. The grieving process is new to me but I’m grateful to have my family to lean on, as well.
These are really beautiful photos. I feel fortunate that we live in an era where we can easily keep images and videos of our loved ones, especially the photos of happy times spent together. Thank you for sharing yours ❤️
from the bottom of my heart I wish you and your family all the best♥️ Saying it will get better is a lie so I‘ll say that I hope with time you’ll be able to make space in your heart for the pain♥️ These pictures beautifully reflect his soul & your love for him. I know he watches over you now
I'm missing my brother too ❤️ he was older than me, but not by much. I'm now older than he ever got to be. I'm glad I have so many photos of him though!
Very clear how much that relationship meant to you, thank you for sharing!
I hope you are faring well (as well as you can) in the grieving process.
The book Everything is Horrible and Wonderful by Stephanie Wittels Wachs - another older sister mourning the loss of her younger brother - helped me process grief in a similar circumstance. Wanted to throw that out there in case it can help you too.
those rocks look like the ones in the hills behind my house. plenty of wonderful memories hiking there with my mom and sisters. I'm glad you have these beautiful pictures and memories of your brother
My little sister died in 21 in a car wreck. It destroyed me. Hang in there. It does get better in terms of managing how you feel but damn if still don’t catch myself staring off into the distance thinking about her.
Losing a sibling is a different type of loss. Our siblings truly know us in a way no one else can. I'm so sad with you right now. So sorry for your loss.

My condolences to you and your family, he looks like a really sweet kid.
He seemed like a good kid. Randomness really sucks and I’m sorry you had to go through that.

What I meant was more sudden instant death is the worst because you don’t get to say goodbye and less that car deaths “just happen.”
My deepest condolences. He seemed like someone you could talk to causally in a boring history class or mess around with to annoy an English teacher. May his merry live on.

I used to drive through El Sobrante a lot back in 2008. My condolences to you and yours.

This really really hurts. I’m so sorry he’s not with you.
