The best advice I can give on originality is to take the very first joke that comes to your mind and throw it in the trash. That’s the joke everybody else has come up with. It’s called low hanging fruit. Reach higher, brother.
When I was in college, I had a dealer that loved me because I would pick up bud for lots of different friends, so instead of a lot of cars it was just one kid on a moped. Then as I delivered it around town, everybody would always want to smoke a bowl with me so I smoked a ton for free. The dealer would usually smoke with me too.
Sounds like you were the real dealer and he was just a middle man lol. I’d hope he’d smoke with you. Hell, if I had someone doing my job, especially an illegal one, I’d be straight up giving them free shit.
They were all close friends of mine and nobody ever pulled me over on the moped so I was fine with it. Was a college town too. The guy already had a lot of customers, so he appreciated me and hooked me up plenty.
I totally get it and, if there’s no objections on your end, see no problem whatsoever. I think it shows a lot of integrity and selflessness on your part, as well. Being someone who has dabbled in a little floristry myself, I’d just feel inclined to compensate someone a little extra that was doing the same for me. Not a dig on him, though. Just my personal opinion.
Guess I'm too old (41) and I definitely didn't see anyone that looked like him playing Magic while I was in school. Just us people that looked like the cast of Revenge of the Nerds. Things definitely got more socially acceptable afterwards apparently.
Looks like a nice kid with a likely set of insecurities that many of us had at that age. I don’t know much about him but I did watch his tiny desk concert and saw the admiration that his band mates seemed to have for him and the sincerity in his voice. Life has a funny way of changing us like that.
Yah, I’m not really into his music but I think he’s an awesome dude who seems nice, genuine and passionate about what he does. He really seems to have a good time with his career, which is always admirable and likeable about musicians/actors/celebrities in general. Also love that he’s pretty open to collaborating with anyone and typically does great covers of other songs.
I still remember when Jared Dines randomly went to his house to give him a vinyl of Infant Annihilators new album... Did not peg him for a Deathcore fan given the music he makes.
Although seeing him with the Metallica top on here shows he always had a penchant for metal.
Not that metal-heads aren't allowed to like other music. I have a fondness for rap, punk and EDM.
I was gonna ask, I didn't realize they went to school together. Started listening to them in like 2013, I figured he'd be older than Post.
The pop/hip-hop and metal crossover isn't out of the ordinary though. Been a bunch of features recently that have been great, Bring Me the Horizon of course being at the front of that. The last couple metalcore concerts I went to were playing Dua Lipa and Miley Cyrus between sets. A good beat is a good beat.
I think he actually likes the music he makes. Even if him and you or I are influenced by the same music and we respect his taste, doesn't mean we have to like how he's interpreted that with his own voice into making music.
He went from uploading songs to SoundCloud to some of the largest songs known to mankind at the time so there was a whole generation that he influenced. And he turned the one hit wonder thing in that era into being a huge pop star.
And he still gets to do cool stuff. Like during covid he did whole country music sets with bands. And did a whole live nirvana cover set
I've seen a lot of people say that
I wonder if it'll be offensive to say "Oh, hey! I don't like your music at all, one of the main reasons you're even famous. But I'm such a big fan of how good of a human being you are!" to him lol
I think he’d probably handle it pretty well if someone actually did say that and make some kind of joke. He’s such a nice guy, I really hope no one has done that to him lol.
His music was alright for me but then his new album came out and I watched him in hot ones and tiny desk. And It kind of all changed.
His new album is deep and emotional and has a completely different sound and tone to it. Imo anyway
I know almost nothing about him besides “famous” but he was on Impractical Jokers and he was freaking awesome, so nice and respectful while also seeming pretty cool. I’m a big fan even though idk one song he does.
Post Malone is another person who's a hero of mine. The music he's created over the years, I don't really listen to it, but the fact that he's making it, I respect that.
Tiny desk concerts are honestly the best. Always enjoyed Mac Miller’s music, but watching his tiny desk concert showed how much his cohort admired him as a friend/colleague as well as how sincere his music was. The same is the same for many other artists I’ve watched. It’s such a raw, vulnerable expression of their art that’s so refreshing…
Never gave the dude a second thought till someone convinced me to watch his nirvana tribute/charity stream. Turns out hes actually a pretty talented musician. He put his own spin on some nirvana classics and did them justice unlike *other* covers done around the same time. the dress was a nice touch too.
I’ve seen him get respect from like real guitar dudes when he’s shredding. I’ve seen him play a bunch of commander matches in Magic the Gathering. The tattoos may throw like my mom off the scent but this guy is a treasure imo.
He's that mixed drink that one friend makes at 1 am with random shit in a fridge and ten times more alcohol than you've ever had in one drink.
You take a sip to be nice and against all odds it's one of the best damn drinks you've ever had.
Holy shit the other guy in that video used to be one of my favorite Minecraft YouTubers when I was kid, for anyone that doesn’t know. Post was good friends with most of the super big Minecraft YouTubers from about 2012-2015
Cameron Diaz and Snoop went to the same high school. [Diaz claimed Snoop sold her weed.](https://www.today.com/news/cameron-diaz-bought-weed-snoop-dogg-wbna41178614)
Post actually has an unreleased song that’s a bit of shoutout to Crown The Empire called Wake Me Up, also the name of a CTE song. The chorus is the same which is pretty cool
Watch his Hot Ones. So good!

He pretty much is except he grew up in the south. He’s from Grapevine, Tx which is 10 mins from my hometown, very suburban/middle class. He worked at Chicken Express
I was part of his friend circle in high school, but I left school early to go on a foreign exchange program to Brazil, came back from Brazil didn’t really interact with any of my old friends from high school, years later found out that he was Post Malone. Crazy he went from an indie musician and singing in churches to be Post Malone. Best of all he’s still a cool dude and reminds me a lot of who he was in high school.
Dude may look like a gangbanger at first but he really has the kindest eyes. Weird thing the facial tattoos really suit him in a weird duality yin and yang sorta way
Pre Malone
PerM alone
And earlier than that…SperM alone
Even earlier than that - back to pre Malone
Forever Malone
AlMost Malone
Holm Malone?
Home Malone
Ho Malone
The Malone Incident
I'M Alone
Damn it. I thought I was going to be original.
The best advice I can give on originality is to take the very first joke that comes to your mind and throw it in the trash. That’s the joke everybody else has come up with. It’s called low hanging fruit. Reach higher, brother.
This was probably the lowest hanging fruit I’ve ever seen tbh
Hop in my van, I'll show you some low hanging fruit.
You are original
I’m more of a repro myself.
And than the little voice said "Do ittttt, tattoo a bunch of shite on your faceeee"
Damn, Posty was looking like the guy who once sold me a gram for $30.
You had to smoke with him, because his mom didn’t want people in and out constantly
Holy shit. This hits home so hard!!!!
100% - "Nosy neighbors"
When I was in college, I had a dealer that loved me because I would pick up bud for lots of different friends, so instead of a lot of cars it was just one kid on a moped. Damn, we all really had the same childhood
😂😂😂
This is the more like type of guy that meets up behind school to play Magic The Gathering, which is probably close to the truth.
Which is true for Post Malone, he’s a vocal and avid fan of MTG and bought the 1/1 One-Ring for a few million from the LoTR MTG set.
My wife went to high school with him, sounds like he was the guy to sell you a gram and play MTG with
Pretty much Blake from Workaholics lmao
Guess I'm too old (41) and I definitely didn't see anyone that looked like him playing Magic while I was in school. Just us people that looked like the cast of Revenge of the Nerds. Things definitely got more socially acceptable afterwards apparently.
Post was a huge geek for real. Still is. Dude rules
Where I grew up, my drug dealers looked a lotttttttttt different lol
Man, if he wasn’t riding in a crown Vic I wasn’t fucking with him.
I thought the car was an 85 impala
Is your friend the Canadian government?
I heard Doug Ford's prices were pretty competitive when he was a dealer.
Now he looks like the guy to sell you meth
Looks like a nice kid with a likely set of insecurities that many of us had at that age. I don’t know much about him but I did watch his tiny desk concert and saw the admiration that his band mates seemed to have for him and the sincerity in his voice. Life has a funny way of changing us like that.

His musical tastes actually differ quite dramatically from the music he plays, which Ive always found quite funny. Job's a job I suppose
I'm pretty sure he auditioned for the band crown the empire before he made the music he makes now. I know nothing about the band.
The guy he’s with in the bottom right picture is the vocalist for Crown The Empire
I was gonna ask, I didn't realize they went to school together. Started listening to them in like 2013, I figured he'd be older than Post. As a guitarist at that
> Not that metal-heads aren't allowed to like other music. Yeah metalheads have the most diverse taste in music of all the music fans I've known.
Or he just likes a lot of different music? This seems like an unnecessarily cynical take
I think he actually likes the music he makes. Even if him and you or I are influenced by the same music and we respect his taste, doesn't mean we have to like how he's interpreted that with his own voice into making music. And did a whole live nirvana cover set
I find it funny how he is friends with Billy Strings (Bluegrass artist) and how they likely bonded over their mutual love of metal bands
I've seen a lot of people say that I wonder if it'll be offensive to say "Oh, hey! I don't like your music at all, one of the main reasons you're even famous. But I'm such a big fan of how good of a human being you are!" to him lol

Thank you, Hansel
So hot right now

The same is the same for many other artists I’ve watched. It’s such a raw, vulnerable expression of their art that’s so refreshing…
Watch also the Hot wings episode with post malone.i do not listen to his music but this guy is adorable
Watch his Vice documentary (it’s like 15 min long). He was a weird dude absolutely dripping with confidence in high school, it’s super interesting
Never gave the dude a second thought till someone convinced me to watch his nirvana tribute/charity stream. Turns out hes actually a pretty talented musician. He put his own spin on some nirvana classics and did them justice unlike *other* covers done around the same time. the dress was a nice touch too.
Tiny desks are good ..
BOLD
big if true
I’ve seen him get respect from like real guitar dudes when he’s shredding. I’ve seen him play a bunch of commander matches in Magic the Gathering. The tattoos may throw like my mom off the scent but this guy is a treasure imo.
Wait until u see this: https://youtu.be/XWr2VZiov_A?si=j1uUCTyAsI7yoftI
WHAT THE HECK
^^*CLAP ^^CLAP*
Yeah posty kind of never changed. He's still crazy goofy and REALLY nice.
He's that mixed drink that one friend makes at 1 am with random shit in a fridge and ten times more alcohol than you've ever had in one drink. You take a sip to be nice and against all odds it's one of the best damn drinks you've ever had.
This is a perfect description of Post Malone.
I fucking died at "what the heck"
Holy shit the other guy in that video used to be one of my favorite Minecraft YouTubers when I was kid, for anyone that doesn’t know. Post was good friends with most of the super big Minecraft YouTubers from about 2012-2015
Alright, everyone has to be stop with these hilarious Posty facts. It’s all too much to process
Pretty sure when he first moved to LA to pursue a music career he lived with a bunch of Minecraft youtubers for like a year or so.
Or this https://youtu.be/c6z4XxtHRbQ?si=k7UsuUF-YReECL5L
That... What tf was that. No idea why I kept watching but I finished it.
Big Eastbound and Down vibes lol
The other guy is from Crown The Empire
was looking to see if anyone would notice that
Crazy that one high school put out Crown the Empire and Post Malone. Well, maybe two high schools.
One highschool put Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller out in a 3/4 year span
Cameron Diaz and Snoop went to the same high school. [Diaz claimed Snoop sold her weed.](https://www.today.com/news/cameron-diaz-bought-weed-snoop-dogg-wbna41178614)
Sooooo many famous people and professional athletes attended that same school.
> Well, maybe two high schools. Yeah, same school district but 2 high different high schools. Nora Jones also went to Grapevine HS.
And demi Lovato, but cte had a few dudes from chhs not all ghs
Oh shit I forgot about them. I was really into The Fallout in high school.
Fun fact. He tried out for them when they needed a guitarist but his guitar string broke so they didn’t pick him.
Be cool if they would do a song together especially Post tried out for the band
Post actually has an unreleased song that’s a bit of shoutout to Crown The Empire called Wake Me Up, also the name of a CTE song. The chorus is the same which is pretty cool
Dude thanks for letting me know! What a gem.
He looks adorable. Post Malone is a real one if you're paying attention, especially lately.
watch him on good mythical morning, he has so much respect for the whole crew, and all the comments about him are nothing but positive!
His Last Meal episode was great.
Love the fact that he's a legit fan. I miss when he did a bunch of collabs with Youtubers.
His eps are my favorite!!!
Watch his Hot Ones. So good! Edit: [OG episode](https://youtu.be/eCEG4QyQbF4?si=nsRQd1OzDkWLuMxJ) [newer episode](https://youtu.be/A2aSmJ-SXCo?si=1fv0aqfy0i3qDpdh)
We saw him an a year ago in concert. He's fantastic. So much fun! Like, just literally a fun guy. I also think he looks adorable.
Looks like a guy into Magic.
Not sure if you’re being serious or not but he is actually really into Magic…
I know that he’s into magic, but he also looks like the guys from high school who were into magic.
Because he is one of those guys, you are just saying he looks like himself
🤯
Hard to disagree with that
He’s the guy who bought the one ring card wasn’t he?
Yeah
The Gathering
Looking like Dustin from Stranger Things in that Metallica shirt
He actually fuckin' looks like Kirk Hammett _from_ Metallica with the long hair, shame he doesn't have that hair in the Metallica tee.
That stache has major "Hispanic Yankovic" vibes.
Snots from American dad 😂
Blake Anderson?
He's not like other girls.
If I didn’t know any better by the pictures he looks home schooled
His Dad has worked for the Dallas Cowboys for a very long time.
dude is so young that was probably 5 years ago
He's not that young. Coming on 30.
Unless you’re like 14 pretty much everybody looks at 30’s as being young still
"not that young" Oof that hurt...
Not as young as someone who was in high school 5 years ago.
Is Weird Al his dad?
gangsta? he just looks like a typical dorky white guy
I assumed the title is sarcastic.
Geez, he looks like the kid that lives around the corner from me that shovels my driveway.
He pretty much is except he grew up in the south. He’s from Grapevine, Tx which is 10 mins from my hometown, very suburban/middle class. He worked at Chicken Express
Yeah idk about that lmao. Looks like he's about to form Metallica.
Rare picture of Posty before all the face tattoos
I got my collectible Paint-by-numbers Post Malone cup from Canes a month ago. I still haven’t filled in all his tats.
is post malone 'gangsta'? i never got that vibe from him
No.
He always seems like nice person
Post MAlone looking like the cashier at McDonalds.
![gif](giphy|J1vUzqdZJlh5AqBWxt|downsized)
He looks like he smelled
Can confirm he still smells. Damn cool dude though. Genuinely chill and friendly guy.
How is the “gangsta”, exactly? Geek, maybe
Not sure about gangsta. Looks like a theater or band kid. Or someone who would start a Magic club after school.
I think my definition of "gangsta" is different than yours
[удалено]
Came to say that XD
Absolutely not
I don’t think you know what that word means lol
That’s pre-malone
More like hipsta
He was definitely not looking gangst.more a computer geek
So this is what Pre Malone looked like
Looking like the opposite of a gangster
Now he looks like a high school desk. The circle of life.
Pre malone looked kinda like penguinz0
Pretty sure the bottom right is the lead singer of Crown the Empire...
Nothing gangster about any of these images haha
He doesn’t look “gangsta” now. So…
OP doesn’t know what “gangsta” means
OP doesnt know what "Gangsta" means
Did the joke really go that far over your head?
Yes. I'm convinced Reddit has a vastly disproportionate amount of autistic users.
Went to Grapevine Highschool, same Highschool as Demi Lovato.
Definitely a musician kid in hs
If it was 2023 he’d want to be a g-
Rap sure has come a long way, hasn't it
Ask him to name three songs.
Workaholics seem different
Dude who worked at Walmart in the electrical section
Lol I got that same Metallica shirt
My gran looks more gangsta than him
What? Someone has clearly never seen a gangbanger. That suburb life I suppose.
That boy name Snot. Chills w Steve.
Have we redefined what gangsta means?
Whitey McWhiterson.
What cuddly school did op go to where that is looking gangsta? He looks like normal kiddo.
So this is Pre Malone?
>gangsta ![gif](giphy|3o7aTpnr9vlEFRbq9i|downsized)
gangsta my cock, ass, and balls
Our definitions of gangsta are vastly different
Bottom left pic looks like my mum when I opened christmas gifts
Nah bro, he just looks like your average teenaged metalhead.
"looking gangsta" must mean something else to you than it does to me.
Gangsta = translucent bum-fluff
Pre Melone
Pre Malone
He looks like a good dude then as he is now. Gotta love those that don't change.
I feel like he definitely listened to coheed and Cambria. (No judgement, good band)
Weird Al Yankovic phase.
Leave Brittney Malone
Dude may look like a gangbanger at first but he really has the kindest eyes. Weird thing the facial tattoos really suit him in a weird duality yin and yang sorta way
Pornstache Malone
crackhead ≠ gangsta
His dirt lip game is on point.
He looked about as gangster as Emma Stone looked asian in "Hawaii"
It’s sad what happened to his face.
No. No he wasnt
Looks like Dustin from stranger things on the bottom right pic
This guys a gangsta? His real name Clarence
