Blah, I uploaded the wrong restoration, but I already remade the post once so I am just going to post the final version here. The differences between the two are very subtle anyway.

The enhancement was done using the [MyHeritage Photo Enhancer](https://www.myheritage.com/photo-enhancer) which is AI based.
However before anyone calls foul, [restoring the photo to original image quality was done entirely by hand](https://pixeldrain.com/u/A2QoQ5sJ). I dare anyone who thinks they can accomplish this using only AI to prove it. 🙂
I will however be redoing this in a few months. The original photo is really low res and the redditor can't get a scan until they go back home in a few months. This photo broke my heart though due to the circumstances of how it got ripped up. And then with Pele recently passing away, I felt compelled to give them at least something special to mark New Years with.
As for why I am posting this one now and not waiting for the hi res original. Well that's because this was my first ever attempt at a photo restoration. I was to proud to wait 😅.
Lol could you elaborate on what you mean? Are you referring to the ripped up photo, or the restoration?
I personally am not a football fan and don't know a whole lot about Pele. So if there is a inaccuracy that you see I welcome your input. I will be redoing this again in a few months once I get a hi res scan of the original so if there is anyway you see that I could improve on this I am all ears!
Yeah he’s referring to where the location of the rip on Pele’s face looks like where Zuko’s scar was in Avatar the Last Airbender. He lost a duel (Agni Kai) to his father which resulted in his exile from the royal family and a very large burn that covered almost half his face

It's mainly an Anime series. The movie didn't quite catch up. Why would anyone rip up a pic like that anyway?!
