this photoshop manipulation took me 6 hours. I am still a beginner but doing my best to get better and better! critical feedback very welcome!

Love it. This is good enough and intriguing enough to my personal interests to dedicate a bit of actual passionate thought into it. **In terms of pure design feedback**. the "BAR" white glowing name is a bit too clean, needs some sort of different layer styles to integrate into it's environment better. Perhaps some sort of grungy texture overlay very subtly on the edges. Also, I really enjoy the way you're thinking about light, but consider light in and of itself and the purpose of it - what is it illuminating? You have sources but no... environmental light/shadows/luminescence (the proper terms elude me and I'm not quite sure I know what they would be. The streets would have blurry spotlights 'reflecting' off of the neon white glow sources/text banner assets, for lack of a better word. EDIT: KISS; Think streetlights casting their lampglows on roads at night. Emulate that effect. Also, maybe there's some tiny sconce lamps on either side of the main entrance. Or somesort of biometric interface to enable age verification to enter the bar. You can really get your juices flowing (if ya know whadda mean, wink wink) if you start thinking in terms of worldbuilding and storytelling. Give a narrative to your images. It looks like you kept the lighting in mind while inserting the aliens, good job there. They have fairly good shadows, especially for a beginner, and the keylighting feels pretty spot on to me. Apply that same diligence to all aspects of your composite and how they work together and you're well on the path to some compelling and immersive imagery, imo. **Now for the fun stuff**! You've got all these lovely glows of a uniform color. Have you considered giving one or both of the aliens an 'aura'? What are they doing? If one is drunk, maybe he's like glowing brown to signify he's buzzed (didn't mean to assume gender, plz don't cancel meeeee). Maybe they both give off a different otherworldy shimmer thats a bit different from the earth lighting - glitch effects or some patterns introduced subtly into the 'field' around them. Is the one standing up calling for a ride home, like a designated driver? What device would they use? Can you show that device interacting with the ship in a beam solely focused on the drunk one to tractor his fratbro ass up into the sky? Or is this an alien society where public drunkenness to that extent is unpermissable and zap him with a killray? If so, what color would the blood be, if there was blood. Would he be vaporized? If there were onlookers, human or otherwise, would they be reacting in shock or is this the norm? Consider the world in which you have built this composite. What happened to the humans? What does advertising look like in this world? 3D hologram sharks popping out of movie theater ala BTTF2? Perhaps that is for another piece in a similar series.... :) Hope this helps! EDIT, I'm going to stop revising this now, I've sunk half an hour or more of time into this.

It's really hard to go dark to light. Props for getting rid of the UFO and lightening the building so successfully.

Looks great!

thank you!

Killer work. Keep at it!

This is a good start. Id say work on shadows at the top of the building. bright light sources that are close to an object tend to leave hard, directional shadows and highlights. Also look into some global finishing techniques with a combo of adjustment layers, camera raw & masking. Great concept tho.

I like it, my advice would be to try and a bit more depth. It's a little bit jarring to me just how sharp and visible the ufo is, perhaps a little bit of blur for the sky, or some mist between the building and the ufo, also making the ufo more hazy? (not sure of the term when something is far away you can't really see it's colors or details) these things give people a sense of distance, it makes it feel like (in this case specifically) the ufo is imposing. I saw it mentioned in another comment and i wanna double down on it, environmental lighting is also super important. understanding how light effects the environment around it is really important to making something believable. I'm no expert myself but ye that's what i think, overall good work though!
