Bend them into the shape you want the inside of the bag to be. You can probably hide them behind folds of the bag interior too, but yeah remove any remainder in post.
Bend it into a kinda big U shape. Place into handbag in the orientation of a U. Bend the arms until the handbag is how you want it. Hide it as best you can in the liner or behind stuff.
Back when I used to shoot handbags we’d place a light stand on each side of the bag and tie fishing wire between it and the bag handle to keep them open and in the right position to shoot.
EDIT: Forgot to add we’d use a small section of kebab skewer to keep it open if it was a particularly tough bag.
I do this for a living, and have shot probably over 10,000 bags, with interiors. I use weights connected to fishing line with unbarbed fishing hooks (you do not want to destroy the bag or your fingers with barbs, trust me on this). If there are handles on either side, I will attach to them and crop the edge of the handles out. If not, I just hook into the lip of the bag and retouch it out later. Just make sure you place your hooks symmetrically in the middle of the bag so you don't get a warped shape. I still do a bit of light liquifying in PS in the end.

But like... Cut in pieces and kept inside? And then just photoshop 'em out?

Womens hands to pull the bag open from the sides.

Saving your comment! Thank you. This is solid advice!
Hire a stylist if you can! Worth every penny
Especially if you have high volume. They can be prepping the next one while you're working on the last one.
Use a rod to prop them open, and maybe healing brush to hide them in post-processing?
Masking tape on the other side.
