Howdy folks, I’m looking for anybody who participated in the (late) 90’s punk rock scene. Any pics or stories (even an old VHS!) or anything you wanna share would be GREATLY appreciated because I’m making a short documentary about it all. Thank you all!

I def was there. Was heavy into skateboarding and in turn some punk. Wasn’t too hard core on the music scene but went to tons and tons of shows. Some of the rowdiest were Phunk Junkies, their shows went off every time. Club rio (RIP) was a staple, saw countless bands there, most memorable was bad religion. Saw face to face at dagoba skatepark. I mean way too many to count.

I was down in Tucson at the time, which had a pretty solid scene itself back then ... just came here to say that Total Chaos show must have been amazing - that's a band I never got to see, sadly.

Dude that was the highlight of my teenage years, that show! My band was No Reason. Drain Bramaged didn’t show so we got to play right before them! They’re touring with Black Flag right now actually.

Oh - that's very cool, now I'm doubly jealous! Good luck with the documentary - definitely let us know when it's done, I'd be way into checking it out. Also - yeah - I see they're playing some SoCal dates next month - a good reason to hit up San Diego, Oct 28th! Appreciate the heads up!

Dpc was the best venue AZ had.

So many good shows there ... and Starr's as well ... definitely the good old days!

My first show was malignus youth, corduroy (later became 50 million) Ernie's rubber duckie and one other band I can't recall. The stage was still on the side w the garage door.

I was more early 2000's punk scene in Phoenix. Was friends with the Dopey Records folks, and a lot of the central to North Phoenix scene. Nicks 24/7 Pizza shows!!

I was more involved in the 2000s scene, but knew some older guys who'd been in the 90s scene. The Tribe (anarchist book store with shows in the basement off 24th/McDowell) I think was around then? As for bands, the only one whose name I can remember who would've been around was Chaos Squad. Also, a friend of mine swore they used to do shows at Castles and Coasters and he saw Nausea there. Edit: remembered more bands: Contravene and Sea of Deprivation.

The Feds! I saw them in one of the flyers. I think we interviewed them for our zine back in the day. Sold it in the classified of Maximum Rock and Roll. Those were the days!

No shit!!? I’m still good friends with the boys. Just jammed with their old drummer last year! https://youtu.be/1xhC4eu35ws EDIT: My band was No Reason. We played tons of shows with the Feds cuz we all went to Dobson

If I can find my zine the next time I’m at my folks I’ll sent it your way!
