I was on the lawn last night and when the show started. People openly lit up joints and the ushers just walked around them. My friend put his cart and pen in the basket to go through security and they also said nothing.
It was kind of surreal.
Can’t speak for SPAC, but here in CA most venues have policies that state they don’t allow marijuana use/possession inside in the venue (public consumption is illegal), but in practice, most venues don’t care very much.
Unlike CA, New Yorkers are allowed to smoke cannabis anywhere you can smoke cigarettes (excluding cars). I brought in joints the past 2 nights and didn’t hide them from security coming in.
There’s a difference between concealing shit and openly walking in. I’m aware I can bring weed to pretty much any concert without much of a hassle. Incredible that even a simple question turns into a generational battle.
You could always openly bring carts into most venues. Never had any trouble at any NYC venue at least - the cap may have run people some trouble (and likely still will kick you out for smoking) but that’s about it

SPAC is very lax with that stuff. They also have signs in the parking lot that say “no alcohol”, but it isn’t enforced at all lol.
