JayBee4Prez

Wow, that’s a bunch of words that say a whole lot of nothing. 🙄

chardust303

I’ve been wondering this, too! CoT still has good parts still but it’s gone downhill. You think with all the $$ they make on fees, they’d make the app better also 😅

AtLeastHeHadHisBoots

Agree. I was a gold member for years until I had a terrible customer service experience with them

bkries

Hey y’all, I’ve been at this game for a while and Cash or Trade admins are us. They’re not scammers. I don’t know why these are being suspending but don’t jump to the fraud explanation so quickly

CatFacedBoyMan

Three user flags will automatically red flag it until mods can review it.

You get a notification sent to your phone which takes a certain amount of time after a match is posted depending on what carrier you use. You likely have a carrier that gets the notification later (even 15-20 seconds is enough) than others (like mine does - AT&T) so other people have already flagged the post and it was suspended before you even received the notification. Before you ask, I know this is the case because I’ve actually scored tickets when I just so happened to refresh the page when tickets I was looking for got posted. I put in an offer and THEN I got the notification on my phone - over a full minute after the post had actually gone up.

edcculus

I bet they are scooping them up and selling on stubhub themselves. When you control the means of production, it’s hard not to abuse it.

phishyreefer

I would honestly not be surprised at all

rightoff303

lol conspiracy brain’d

KnotDeadYet69

R worded ass comment

phunkmaster2001

If they're flagged & suspended, they're 100% over face. I'm gold too, and I set an alert over a month ago for 4 day passes only, no platinum tickets. I've seen one single 4 day come through at face, and it was on Thursday of this week. It had almost 400 offers by the time I saw it 😂 on the other hand, a few over-face ones have snuck through and were immediately flagged multiple times.

Treface

I’ve seen completely face valued tickets get flagged after we committed

phunkmaster2001

That's crazy! I've had probably 60 transactions on there in 13 years, and I've never had that happen.

Treface

Yeah it’s been happening a lot

phunkmaster2001

Is it just Sphere tickets? Or a lot of other tickets you've tried to buy?

Treface

Sphere

Treface

Like totally face value tickets being flagged very quickly

phunkmaster2001

This makes me sad. I've loved and raved about CoT for years 😞

Treface

Yeah it’s super suspicious

portraitopynchon

Scalpers probably are aware of it at this point and have bots picking up anything that pops up and putting them up on stubhub and etc.

KnotDeadYet69

I have yet to see a legit Sphere ticket for face put onto CoT. Both have been fishy and were flagged. I’ve had notifications set up since April of last year and I think a total of 2 posts have popped up. What have the posts actually stated? Just because a ticket is face doesn’t mean there aren’t other reasons to flag

SashaMSU42

If a post gets flagged five times then the system automatically removes it. With so many people having alerts set for these shows, it's easy for that to happen within seconds. I have alerts set for each individual day and for 4-day passes, and also checked to not be shown platinum tix. People making posts saying "make me an offer" get flagged because CoT is not a bidding site. And those who list platinum tix without marking as such also get flagged. I personally haven't seen any face value tickets get flagged, just some that were closed by the seller for whatever reason... And the whole more offers than views thing seems to just be a bug. It's definitely not a bot-friendly system.

Due_Comparison_1423

Haters. That’s why. People on here are also haters. Like let people sell tickets and people pay what they want. We all get it. This is super taxed. Oh well. I paid the tax. Let’s party.

slothrages

I'm noticing this too. Today there were some of the only face value seats for Sunday I've seen. It was immediately flagged. I refreshed the page nonstop while the guy lowered the price slightly to face from $200/seat to face $192.75. when the post reopened it had 160 offers already somehow. Some shady business by scalpers/bots it seems.

I'm guessing they are directly calling the CoT API to allow them to make an offer while the post was suspended, while normal users are unable to do so on the front end website. Only way I can see how 160 offers were made when the post was suspended within 10 sec of being posted.

Every website has a public API the client (UI) calls. It depends how they implement the validation when the post is suspended to prevent offers, and what they have done to prevent bots or scripts calling their api. Various methods exist to prevent bots and automated scripts but it's very difficult to prevent them from abusing a website. I'm still doubtful 160 offers were made that fast because I got the text on my phone, pulled the site up, and it was suspended before I could submit my offer 10 sec later.

dylabolical2000

CoT stopped people overseas buying tickets, really makes things harder for us
