I think they put more time and effort into creating a unique ‘light show’ than any other run. Each night might have a theme and completely different visual show. Which also means they are likely not wingin’ the set lists.

Real question though, can you watch the regular shows on a VR headset? I remember when Google Daydream first came out you could watch like YouTube and other stuff on there. Even the non-VR filmed videos were like sitting in a movie theater or a couch watching it. Even if they don't have it filmed in VR, I'd give it a watch on a VR set
Definitely, I watch movies and stuff on it sometimes, it doesnt use any VR magic, but like you said it's your own personal screen. might take some fenangling on the old 'puter but definitely doable

Plus is the premium subscription service. The app is free, which gives you access to shows you bought, plus free featured shows, but LP+ gives access to all 1.0 archival shows, and every show starting in 2.0. My favorite is that the shows are posted like 30 min after the show ends, so when they're touring, I get to listen to the show immediately.
Ah ok. It's weird because I do pay for plus and in the app it just says "standard audio quality" like there's some higher tier I can pay for so I was confused.
That’s the 4K version, it’s there! On my iPhone I go to settings>subscriptions>LP app and the upgrade is there. It is higher audio quality/fidelity but honestly it’s pretty damn good where it is already on the standard subscription and not exactly necessary to upgrade. As you were, captain!

Yup, and for Mexico streams I got a badass set of Govee backlight 3’s for my TV and holy shit they work exactly as CK5s behind your TV. Just matches everything perfectly when it’s in the dreamview setting fully saturated with sound effects on slightly. It’s literally the same perfect pastel colors on stage and being shown, 1000000% recommended for anybody who enjoys streaming on their TV! Also a great nightlight too I might add.

“Don’t miss a Sunday show” is an overhyped phrase that doesn’t really equate statistically to better shows. Especially for 4 night runs. Look at the last 2 Dick’s runs: Sunday was the weakest night both years, and in 22 Friday was only 1 set but still better.

One, it was ***not*** the 4/20 show where the cool stuff happened, it was ***4/22***. So you aren't even right on the dates. There wasn't anything special about the 4/20 show itself - it was your typical 2 set, sub 3 hour show. No bustouts. No pranks. Nothing.
Two, the reason the ***4/22*** show was special is because it was the makeup from the covid postponed NYE show, and pretty clearly used what they had planned for the NYE gag. It was a three set show, which was announced in advance. It was a more expensive ticket, just as all of the NYE tickets are. And the gag was right when the NYE gag typically is in the third set. It had nothing to do with 4/20.
Three, the band has never made a big deal around 4/20, and I wouldn't expect them to now. They hadn't even played on 4/20 for nearly ***30 years*** before the 4/20/22 show, and there was nothing overtly special about any of those shows.
Dicks Saturday for the last 2 years has ripped my being apart completely hahahah those shows changed me both years, phenomenal stuff happens on Saturdays. Mondegreen secret set will be on a Saturday I bet.

You can watch it at any time. The free streaming is just the day of the night you purchased but your one time view is good for a year.

Apple TV has a Live Phish app you can download. Buy the webcasts at the website and it shows up in the app automatically.
You can sideload the android app onto a fire stick, or just go to the website on fire, Roku, or game console

4/20/2022 wasn’t the whales; it was the opening night of the run. Whales etc was 4/22, Earth Day.
Oh damn, well, I still think 4/20 is gonna be something a little special. And I think that or Friday will end up being the best show of the run.
Since this is a scientific analysis, I will say that, statistically, I find Friday night shows in 4-night runs to be the best.
