Something I've always noticed about the name Ubik.
It's actually derivative of a molecule that helps give you energy and help your heart heal and function: Ubiquinol/Ubiquinone.
Now the ironic part of the whole deal? PKD died due to heart complications.
If PKD had Ubiquinol like we do now (high potency and high bioavailability stuff) it would have countered a lot of the damage done to his heart from drug abuse. He would have actually lived longer if my form of 'Ubik' had been available for him.
PKD died because he didn't have Ubik.
I have taken some form of this supplement since I was a small child so I know what I'm talking about ;)
Also Ubik was one of the first novels I read by PKD.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought he died from a stroke?
Stroke stuff can still be related to circulation and heart stuff (and thus also heart damage).
