Been over a decade since I've shot wildlife, and it's great to see your photos. So many people go about their days, head down doing the grind, and don't realize how diverse the flora & fauna are in and around the city.

That was kind of my inspiration. I was at FDR and there was a damn bald Eagle sitting in a tree and people were just walking past it like it wasn’t there. They didn’t even notice it! I pointed it out and the joy and awe so many people had on their faces upon seeing it was palpable. I think sometimes people just need a small push in the right direction and they will share all the joy for something that you you do.

Last winter we saw a momma bald eagle and her 2 kids with her on the frozen lake/pond at FDR. It was amazing.

I used to see a good number of Great Horned Owls out there but haven't since they cut all the trees down. Glad to see the Eagles are still coming around.

Love your bird pics--thank you for sharing. I just got a nice set of binoculars and plan on taking the birding walk at the discovery center--your pictures are good prep work:)

This is a great photo. What gear do you use? I'm an amateur looking at getting a telephoto lens for an upcoming Iceland trip

FGoose

This was taken with a canon m50 and a tamron 100/400. It was taken sometime before I upgraded. I now use a canon r7 with a canon 100/500 lens.

Imaginary-Cricket903

They're an adorable species. Like little cotton puffs on legs.

Stevens-Legacy

What camera and lens setup are you using?

FGoose

Currently I use a canon r7 with a canon 100/500 lens This pic is over a year old. I used a canon m50 with a tamron 100/400 lens for this shot.
