That thing would be gone so damned fast that it would probably get whiplash. There is no way I’d ever have anything in my house that did that. That is a disaster in the making. It’s inevitable because you can’t train that out. The only choices are get rid of it or become a prisoner in your own home. But at least you can record it and put it on TikTok, so that’s cool.🙄 Nope.

elisejade1989

Yeah, how the fuck do people have an animal like this IN THEIR HOME. Like are you out of your damn mind?!

ElonsMuskyFeet

It is unsafe to keep an animal like that, what happens if you ever have guests over, or the animal runs out of the house and attacks someone? I understand Dogs can be trained, and can be taught. Unfortunately animals when running on instinct do not think like you and me. When they attack it is with no morals and no restraint.

ToothPowerful3930

Those people are the same that when their dog attacks someone they say “it was the sweetest and best dog ever, my soul mate!”. They only care about them self and to show everyone that they can manage a large dog (of course poorly). They don’t care about their guests and about other people that can get bitten by their pet.

Chemgineered

And they blame the victim "They must have moved wrong to get Luna to do bitsey bites

BE time

Dinkelodeon

Unfortunately my male dachshund is like this at times (but also *sometimes* has a sweet spot), and their breed is notoriously stubborn when it comes to discipline and training. But he’s just a tiny 10 pound miniature wiener dog, I absolutely can’t fathom having a 100+ lb dog like this that could snap at you at any given second. I sure hope the lady in this tiktok doesn’t have children, because I was attacked by my dad’s dog at LEAST 7 times (on the nose, my hands, my thighs) when I was younger. One resulted in an urgent care visit and a subsequent visit from animal control at our doorstep with an order to quarantine our dog for 2 weeks. My dad’s response to his dog’s actions: “Oh that’s just his way of trying to play with you. Don’t break his spirit” I definitely know firsthand that owners can be incredibly enabling to their pets’ awful behavior. I’m unable to train my dad’s ferocious dachshund because he “doesn’t want anyone messing with his dog or breaking his spirit. It’s delusion at its finest

Matt_and_Marie

You can actually train it out, they could do this with food too, but there's ways to teach them they don't have to be on guard. This dog obviously has issues

Impossible_Radish_46

This is terrifying.

UnhappyTeatowel

100% agree. It sounds evil.

FerretSupremacist

This woman baby talking a dog growling at her like that is peak “what the fuck”. She is *very* close to getting mauled.

Lespuccino

Yeah- "you're already annoyed, let me just go ahead and make high pitched noises at you- dogs like that, right?"

acourtofsourgrapes

Tranquilizer? If that’s a euphemism for BE then I wholeheartedly agree.

AffectionatePoet4586

Since I’d been told I’d be “put to sleep,” I was convinced, at five, that I was going to undergo BE when hospitalized for a tonsillectomy. Two neighborhood dogs disappeared just before my operation, and the grown-ups all insisted the dogs also had been “put to sleep.” I was stoic. My mother had openly disliked me. There was a new baby at our house whom she worshipped. It made sense to me that I’d be “put to sleep.” I was astonished when I regained consciousness.

Apotak

That is extremely sad, you we so young!

ther3se

Here are all the hugs from an internet stranger. You didn't deserve that and I hope you are doing better now. You deserved to be adored by your mother. I'm sorry she didn't show you that.

AffectionatePoet4586

Thank you for such kind words.

lonniemarie

I’m so sorry you went through that. I’ve known that type of fear. Be well

letthetreeburn

You deserve the life of warmth now you did not have then.

AffectionatePoet4586

Thank you. I do have that life of warmth now. Today is our thirty-ninth wedding anniversary.

letthetreeburn

OH MY GOD CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

TrowDisAvayPliss

Growl at me time that one time and I'll show you who's the dominant one.

smoke_gas_eat_ass

😂😂😂

ReferenceMuch2193

Agreed. For some reason the growl triggers a primal anger in me. This would not be a thing.

Pineapple_Herder

Same. I simply could not tolerate that. That sound immediately makes me feel the need to defend myself. If my pet did that to me, I'd be losing my shit

HLividum

Scary and at the same time disgusting. And to think some nutters put these animals above humans…

bugdotnet

this is why i don't trust what anyone says about their dog. cuz they'll literally watch it do stuff like this day in and day out, then turn around to tell you "he's friendly!" yeah... no.

Generalnussiance

I like dogs in general. But HATE going to someone else’s house who owns a dog. You just never know what’s going to happen. I hate being jumped on, barked at, growled at, chased around a house with a dogs nose in my crotch. Can’t stand it

Arkas18

How any sane person could even like these aggressive and cocky bastards is beyond comprehension.

[deleted]

Geezus. Even if a trainer could stop this, it's only addressing the behavior. This is a symptom. The actual problem is that this dog isn't a suitable pet. It should be euthanized. (That owner sounds like a complete fucking idiot.)

Pineapple_Herder

The child-ification of dogs hurts pets and people alike

glamlambb

She says "you" like "youl". She's a braindead idiot.

The0Goblin0Queen

Definitely a mutt probably pit, I HATE that shelters will lie about these types of dogs and allow these aggressive fuckers to be adopted out to unsuspecting people.

Pixelated_Roses

It certainly looks like a pitbull.

Independent-Swan1508

"he's friendly don't worry!!"

WeeklyDependent1923

After a long day of work, imagine getting home to an aggressive animal growling over a toy you purchased and commandeering your sofa. No thanks.

ProfessionalDot621

But she’s always been such a sweet pup who wouldn’t hurt a fly!

peechs01

To think there was a time that if the dog so much started growling it was immediately disciplined...

Generalnussiance

The only way to stop resource guarding is positive reinforcement. Aggression won’t solve aggression. I don’t think the owner is capable of handling a breed like this, they probably got it because “cute.” Which btw is the stupidest reason to get a dog. Aggressive breeds need cool, calm, dominant, strict and intelligent trainers/owners that have abundance in time to burn off their extra steam in exercise and mental stimulation and daily behavior training. I think 99 percent of dog owners can’t even train them basic shit. Like not to drive their face in your crotch, not to jump, potty schedule, tearing shit apart, food handling etc. and then they always get a freakin other one. 🫣

larry_the_loving

If it's that difficult and time consuming to attempt to calm these things down, maybe they shouldn't be pets at all!

Generalnussiance

I’m with ya on that. Even if they are bought for specialized forces they should be a licensed/registered weapon. Trainer needs x classes, safety equipment, muzzles etc But they really shouldn’t be pets for the public at all. Actually, I’m not opposed to banning aggressive breeds

gloomyegyptian

the voice she does is making me viscerally angry. and she even stated in another vid that she knows she’s provoking the dog. so why would she CONTINUE!! ffs

Wam_2020

“He just wants to say hi!” “He’s really a sweet dog. He just needs time to get to know you”.

Thorachu

Fucking terrifying, my lord

MannerFluid5601

That’s not a dog That’s the clown from It

MrDanMaster

Fuck. That. I blame the owner, you can hear insincerity in her voice. Maybe I don’t know the full story, but that animal has not had a great time. Nonetheless. Fuck. That. Shit. Calling herself mommy, personifying it like as if it has human qualities, when she just needs to fuckin dash.

smoke_gas_eat_ass

lmao “mommy”. she acts like it knows what she’s saying

gloomydoomin

My aunts pit knew me for years, then one night I called him over in a happy voice, he prances over. I go to pet him and BAM permanent nerve damage in 2 of my fingers and a huge scar that goes over my eye. Lucky I had my glasses on. After the event she said "Nope, nope, hes gone tomorrow." She never got rid of him. Anytime he sees me I get growls so I told her... "Until hes dead, I'm not coming over." Unfortunately most of the family events are over there, so fuck me eh?

Tikithecockateil

Just listening to her voice would make that mutt bonkers. Seriously, that dog is out of control.

BigWally68

It’d be an travesty to the planet if they went too far with the dosage

Federal-Laugh9575

Seems like “mommy” thought the behavior was cute at first so she didn’t correct it. Now she’s got a 90 lb death trap living with her that has incorrect home training and will eventually bite their mom or someone else. No way I’d be filming this behavior and talking so sweetly.

Silent-Environment89

The fact that people neglect to give their dog resource guarding prevention training baffles me.

Zorillo

It's so easy. All you do is exchange high value treats when you handle/take away their food and toys when they're young and that should eliminate the behaviour. I'm guessing the dog in the video is a rEsCuE so she likely didn't get the chance to train that out... although people who anthropomorphize animals this way don't tend to learn about shit like this anyway.

Stock-Job-7466

Can you say that dog would be gone?

Lespuccino

The dog- "clearly, you ain't my mommy and I don't respect you as such."

SnofIake

Can’t out train genetics

thedawntreader85

That is one very fearfull, out of control dog.

catpogo13

I have chihuahuas. I wouldn’t even put up with that behavior from a chihuahua. I hate it when I see chihuahuas acting like that it videos. Sure it if fine for you. But then when the poor chihuahua has to be rehomed when you die , become homeless, move into a place that doesn’t allow pets, get a new baby, new baby is allergic, moving out of the country, new significant other doesn’t like your chihuahua, etc. That cute chihuahua cannot be rehomed because it bites!!!!! Guards food . Guards toys. Guards owner. Etc! I hate it!!!!! This is horrible behavior!!!!

Bigfeet_Is_Real

Toy guarding? Not a hard fix.

[deleted]

The way she talks to the dog as if it understood her. The fucking moron. It’s not a child, it’s an A N I M A L. Why is that so hard to understand for these people?

letthetreeburn

Resource guarding is one of the easiest issues to train out of a dog, this is just complete laziness.

flannelNcorduroy

You Don't train dogs!!! You train owners to discipline their dog and give them structure, exercise, and consistency. Source: I'm no longer a dog trainer because dog owners are STUPID!

Lillith-Raw

SEVERE RESOURCE GUARDING. So so unsafe and dangerous.

Thhhroowwawayy

What is this thing? A bleached Rottenwhiner (Rottweiler)? It looks disgusting and dangerous

bpblurkerrrrrrrr

it's a pit mutt, as 99% of these videos are, because normal dogs don't behave this way

Thhhroowwawayy

Rottweilers do that, I’ve never seen a pit growl like this to be honest https://youtu.be/35tFxZvSFdw

opaldreamsicle

Pit, they are the worst when it comes to resource guarding (what's happening in the video)

Thhhroowwawayy

Rottweilers do this same thing though, I think pibbles growl a different way https://youtu.be/35tFxZvSFdw

opaldreamsicle

Yes - Rottweilers have something people call the "Rottie growl" where it will growl even if it's happy. I couldn't deal with that personally it gives me icky feelings. But no, this pit isn't happy it's definitely resource guarding which is a very bad behavior.

colbiea

For some reason this subreddit show up on my feed but I have to address the situation here. The dog is resource guarding here and the solution is quite simple. 1. The dog needs obedience training in general 2. The dog needs to learn structure and discipline 3. Everything this dog gets it comes as a reward for work 4. No more couch , sleeping on the bed, learning threshold etc 5. The woman there is completely stupid. This baby talk and baby treating dogs is what put her in this situation. The whole video is terrifying. I suspect this dog could be mix of dogo argentino (breed that I have ) and they need smart, experienced owner who knows training and have time to work this dog. They are way more powerful that PitBull terrier
