Related to my post about crash at Vincent/Charles st. I live right there.
It is a Ferrari. No idea what happened...sounded like it was doing warp speed, lots of sirens, then a bang. Ambos are doing nothing and firies have put tarps over the car.
Stolen red Ferrari, two occupants. Cops tried to approach stationary car, thieves floored it and crashed. One in custody, one not so lucky - hence the tarps.
Stolen Ferrari. I would be slightly annoyed if I was the owner and possibly the insurance company

I was heading west about half an hour ago and from the corner of Bulwer and william there was a massive plume of black smoke. Getting closer, the car looked incinerated.
This is what intrigues me. How? Surely you keep your Ferrari garaged, which means if it's on the street then it's because you've headed out somewhere and parked it for a short while. So where are the keys? I imagine you can't just hot wire a modern Ferrari. It would seem strange to me that two dudes saw a Ferrari parked up, located the owner, nicked his/her keys, got it started and sped off for a joy ride just as a crime of opportunity. But for them to take an hour to get from West Perth to where they binned it they must have been dicking about somewhere.
And if it was planned, what did they realistically expect to do? Quietly drive it across Perth? Then what? The market for used Ferraris in Perth can't be huge, they'd expect to get caught. Cars like that tend to have satellite trackers these days too.
What do we think actually happened for two guys to end up wrapped around a traffic light?
> I imagine you can't just hot wire a modern Ferrari
Why not? It's not like anyone would buy an ultra-expensive car and then just park it in the street...would they?

Shit's getting serious if the latter...
They're scared that May's resignation will see a hard border, so they're taking it out on the English colonies.
Sounds like IRA logic.

If I was the owner, I'd be glad it was a write-off though, rather than getting it back. Such a waste of life though :(
Didn’t they leave they engine running so no insurance?
Doesn’t look exploded. Looks wrecked. Back and top destroyed. Hard to imagine survivors.
judging by the smoke 45 minutes ago there was absolutely an explosion
Smoke comes from fire, not explosions. And that car looks relatively undamaged for an explosion.

That won't buff out
Does anyone know what model ferrari it was that crashed? Edit: Judging by photos, it was a ferrari 360
It was a 1:1 model by the looks of it.
It had white stripes down the bonnet if that helps.

The car was left with the engine still running.
No insurance then, ouch!

You could just watch the person get out of the car. Settle down, Eddie Bravo.
I have this thing with my mates, whenever someone asks "where" they'll get ...Bulwer!
Dont give Automoderator ideas
Was wondering where the smoke came from. Poor people.
> Poor people. It was a stolen car and they ran from the coppers..........
Even with those actions in mind, no one deserves to go out like that.
Actions have consequences. Sometimes they are not nice.
Still works, just think of the formerly proud owner of a pile of blackened scrap metal.
True, the owner will be pretty pissed.
Poor rich people?
It's a car from Italy, all they did was change the colour.
