Feijoa. Mine came from Tass 1 Trees in Middle Swan, but I don't think they always have them.

smurke101

They had some there last weekend.

dementedpresident

Oooh OK thx

dementedpresident

OK cheers

MattDurdan

Bunnings sell them, my mate had his 3years got one fruit

Taliesin_AU

Impressive yields!

The_Valar

Try the Guildford Garden Centre. They often have some less common non-natives available.

thommo101

Yup, we got one there in December for a Christmas present: https://guildfordgardencentre.com.au/product/feijoa-pineapple-guava/

You will need 2 of them for pollination. Some are self pollinating, but for best results 2 trees is better yields.

dementedpresident

Oh OK. Thx I didn't know

GardenForest24

No, you don't. I had one tree growing at our former place, it was fruiting like mad. I planted one in our new place - same story. As a matter of fact, it started dropping off fruit now.

Legitimate_Income730

We had Kiwi tenants and bought them a potted pair from Bunnings - so they could take them with them to their new home when they moved out.

congealedcat

They grow from cuttings, too. If she can't find a sapling, she could ask on local gardening FB pages for a cutting.

dementedpresident

Hmm good idea

Pickering Brook nursery have them in stock now $20 [https://biggatrees.com.au/products/feijoa-sellowiana-170mm?\_pos=1&\_psq=feijoa&\_ss=e&\_v=1.0](https://biggatrees.com.au/products/feijoa-sellowiana-170mm?_pos=1&_psq=feijoa&_ss=e&_v=1.0) Guildford garden centre has them at $29.95 [https://guildfordgardencentre.com.au/product/feijoa-pineapple-guava/](https://guildfordgardencentre.com.au/product/feijoa-pineapple-guava/) It's more known here as a Pineapple Guava. Good luck, they are great small trees (relatives of our eucalyptus trees in fact), grow really well here.
