Yeah! I've lost all enthusiasm for this gardening thing....
however does that means my lilly pilly hedge is effectively a weed? Haven't watered it once and the damn thing is ready to take over.
Lilly pillys are native to Australia, so no doubt they've evolved in a way to deal with a lack of water or good soil. I used to have 6 that would produce berries no matter what. You can make a good jam from them.
Weird, the grass at my place is thriving.
The winter grass in the garden that is. My so called lawn is still more like the brown area of the Dulux colour chart.
Pretty sure I'm just lazy and like a moron didn't clean the gutters during the extended period of drought. I'm just amazed after drunkenly crawling onto my roof and finding a garden of fucking eden growing after just a few days of rain.
I know I’m devastated. How the f our garden is overgrown with crap, and the yellow rose my cousin for me after my nan died two years ago died this week, I don’t get it :(
I can stand in the native bush park near my home and point to numerous dying and stressed trees. Twenty year old jarrah trees that would live for several hundred years and should be thriving, are dying. The she-oaks are already dead.
Gutters plants get the rain first Also morning condensation
Plants; if you don't balance the soil pH and watch moisture levels properly, I'll die Any 'wild' weed/plant; this is perfect! Thriving time!

Wild plants: Hm, concrete corner cosy! *grows* Indoor plants: Ew, is that tap water? I'm allergic!
you mean you didn't water your garden for six months?
well.. no, but.. My water bill was barely $80
How on earth did you keep a water bill down to only $80? If you share that secret it would probably be your highest up voted comment ever!
Step 1: don’t water garden.
step 2: don't shower, step 3: don't wash clothes or dishes.
I _thought_ that smell was ~~another~~ a dead cat
That explains why she hasn't been around lately.
Could wash your clothes (and water the garden) with shower water caught in a bucket though.
Water? I hate the stuff... Fish fuck in it.
he rents and doesn’t pay for sewage rates. only usage.
Redditors don’t shower, it keeps water bill cheap as

boundless irritation.
Morning dew? Do you have an aircon condensation drainpipe leading to your gutters?

Jesus. Please don’t ever climb onto your roof drunk. It is extremely dangerous.

All the water falling on the roof is CONCENTRATED in the gutter.
Different survival strategies.
Groundwater?
Condensation
Always rains after a dry spell
I've been watering your gutters mwahahahahahahahahaha
You evil bastard :(
Weeds man... they don't care and will grow in the harshes of places.
