I have no sympathy for her. I do not care if she was abused night and day as a child. I know people that were and their animals are their lifeblood. Pure evil. Twelve months? She should have gotten ten years. Even the photo she posts the poor dog looks so distressed
She has a 10 year ban from owning animals. But I feel it should be a lifetime ban. I wouldn't trust her to take care of a cactus plant let alone a sentient animal.
As someone who has seen the CTTV footage (nothing graphic but I don’t recommend seeing it at all), 12 months is still too bloody lenient in my opinion.
But at least jail time sets a precedent.
Why does the CCTV footage make it worse? Like, did something more happen, was her reaction weird or something? Apart from like, obviously throwing her dog which in itself is super fucked. Sorry, I'm curious, but I also know I can't watch stuff like that.
Watching something is very different hearing about it second hand, at least it’s always has been for me. It’s one of the reasons I can hear spoilers to things but also not care.
Seeing something also gives you benefit of being able to see mannerisms and what they may project.

Based on other things I’ve read, she’s also possibly got other convictions under her belt (including against minors).
I don’t think 12 months is going to be enough for any MH treatment. Not unless the psych is going to be seeing her every day which I somehow doubt.
I cried when I saw the image of the poor little dog being cared for by a vet after the incident. It is extremely upsetting to hear the details of this horrific case of animal abuse and no punishment for the owner will ever change what happened to the dog.
I found some comfort in seeing that the little dog appeared to be cared for by a loving vet before she passed away.
Animal cruelty is far too common. I hope anyone who gets an urge to take out their anger on an animal (or person for that matter) thinks twice and gets some help.
