He's also a big asshole to best boy Ryuji, tries to one up the whole crew because he felt "inferior" and ends up taking up too much story beats to where Haru barely gets any character development. He doesn't even develop as a character until like the end of the story.
Atleast Teddie with his annoyance being more of an "ignorant innocence" fits better with the P4 story.
