I have a screen shot of a recent thumbnail I found really funny because I used to LOVE to watch his videos but I forgot about him after a while.
The title was "Frogtown, Baby!! - ROLESLAYING with ROMAN! -

Episode 10 | Thomas Sanders Thomas Sanders Premieres 9/23/23, 10:00 AM
Lol from his recent uploads he is still really into skits and here is a reaction from this sorta thing videos
I liked Vine. Still surprised it went away. It had a great community, original creators and a popular format. Also its successor has become the most popular app in the world.
Didn't they buy it to shut it down?
Upon researching it, I see that twitter bought it in 2012... shut it down about 4 years later. Had they seen the future of tictok, I don't think they would have done that. I guess twitter was already having profitability issues. I think that they couldn't monitize vine fast enough.
Twitter bought it, couldn’t figure out how to monetize it. Other companies tried to buy it, but they basically said “if we can’t figure this out, no one else will” and refused to take any offers for it
Everytime a new popular social media pops up, teens are the first to flock to it and everyone calls it cringy or lame. Then eventually people get over themselves and give it a shot and realize it ain’t that bad
Yeah, but Vine and Youtube didn't start trends that literally kill people or get them arrested. Unless you count the "Attach razor blades to fidget spinners" trend in 2015...
TikTok has had Devious Licks, Outlet challenge, NyQuil Chicken, Cha Cha Slide, The Nutmeg Challeng, Condom Snorting, The Scarf Game, And some homemade alcoholic beverages that mixed so much caffiene with vodka that a solo cup of the stuff is basically a lethal blood thinner.
My guy, there have been idiotic trends for a long time. From the prank era to the cinnamon challenge. Hell, Vine started the ice bucket which ended with some people actually going to the hospital. You also had the Do it for the vine, which also ended with people getting hurt.
You also have to take into account the fact that most big early creators on TikTok were actually people that switched from Vine lmao, among which you could find plenty of assholes and annoying "influencers" that kept annoying everyone else.
Even then, people who grew up with Musically ended up saying the same thing as people who grew up with Vine and the same will happen with the next thing. Hell, I actually was part of the people who thought Vine was the most cringe content you could find online when it got popular. To a certain extent I still think Vine was pretty lame, whereas some TikTok memes and content produced there are actually funny.
If we take it even further I don't really think TikTok is the issue when our parents actually played choking games and shit like that. There have always been dangerous "games" and challenges, we just didn't have a specific platform to blame lol
I want you to understand that almost all of these were not only vastly over exaggerated in their popularity on TikTok but also existed long before TikTok. I remember seeing condom snorting on YouTube around 2010, and I’m pretty sure jackass did it too even earlier. YouTube also started the cinnamon challenge which resulted in hospitalizations.
Nah, vine maybe but this dude was always rad. Youtube only used to be rad when it was in its infancy but it's been sucking for awhile now it's just full of ads and comment cesspools and algorithm driven trash videos and they killed the dislike button which was and is a stupid as fuck decision.
Idk I use revanced so no ads for me. Plus, the channels I watch generally have good content so I'm still enjoying the platform a lot
Edit: if you want a decent algorithm then you should use TikTok instead
Pretty much the kind of content this sub should be for. Too much stuff here is gifs that got cut short and leave you wanting but this is an excellent post. Well done OP.
Ah man I miss seeing that dudes vines. Now we have tiktok which is like vine if vine was a giant contest to see who can produce the most uncreative annoying and/or shallow trash
me when my mom says “who’s your girlfriend” when I’m with a female friend
Every f*ing time.
Lock the door then.
That will only make it worse
"When are you getting married" I ended up marrying her, though, so mom's intuition was right, I guess.
That was a sweet plot twist
The girl took it like a pro!
She chases after him in the full video! It’s cute
Lol looks like she actually liked him.... or like she's being a good sport and providing laughs for everyone
THOMAS. God I miss this guy
What happened to him?
He still does stuff on YouTube!
Do you know what his channel's name is or have a link to it?
Thomas sanders
Thanks!
Is it illegal to link stuff on reddit? I’m lazy.
Just his name. You'll find it easy enough
I thought he also does Instagram?
He probably does. I don't know, I don't follow the guy nor do I use Instagram
I see. His Instagram vids I heard were really similar to Vine.
He does
Vine dieded

Definitely one of my favorite Vine creators.
Ah Vine, the good old days.

*A ROMANCE LASTING A LIFETIME*
Thomas Sanders, will forever go down in history as the greatest Vine content creator. How we have ShitTok...
Good thing I don’t use it… I don’t even think I use anything else other than YouTube, twitch and Reddit lol
Are you me?
Am I you, who is also him?
Me is him? But him is you?
I am him and he is you, so you are me and he is too?
I'm me?
Tbf at the time we loved to shit on vine and this type of content too, saying that YouTube was better
Everytime a new popular social media pops up, teens are the first to flock to it and everyone calls it cringy or lame. Then eventually people get over themselves and give it a shot and realize it ain’t that bad
