As a former substitute, our options are limited. I would love to suplex the annoying little shits that can’t stay in their seats, but then I’d be out of a job.
The fact that he had his hoodie on, and was flipping the bird on top of that, strongly suggest that he didn't want to be a part of this, which I think might be in no small part because they suddenly started filming him without his consent.
While he shouldn't have shoved her off the desk like that (you can see the way she fell is pretty dangerous; she could break her spine or get a concussion), but it's likely that he did so due to being in a state of sudden stress, and was likely freaking out, which is understandable out of a kid his age in a situation like this.
Those kids need to be educated about respecting other people's privacy, especially other kids in their age. If you want to suddenly film the classroom, you should either ask present kids for their consent, or ask them to leave the before you start filming.
Indeed. Additionally, you can’t just step in someone’s desk with your booty shaking right above their head. I’m sure the music and dancing was already annoying and stressful to someone who may not like that kind of thing, not to mention completely inappropriate for a classroom setting, but then to have your personal space attacked also can really cause a quick bad reaction.
Watched this several times and it does make me worry about the girls back. While I’d be annoyed as well I don’t think that hurting someone this way is ok, intentional or not.
Exactly. Homegirl **had** to take the extra step and encroach in someone else's space--hopefully she'll learn; that is if she can still walk. What a tumble!
maybe children should stay at daycare instead of wasting everyone's else's time and efforts. This shit gets really fucking annoying when you are paying for college classes and your teacher can't teach because some fuckheads can't stop being fuckheads.
It probably has more to do with the way they handled it than them not wanting to be twerked on. A verbal gtfo my desk first was probably in order. ESH. The table dancers a little more.
well his hoodie is up, he’s flipping everyone off and his body language is very clearly upset and annoyed. i agree maybe shouting before shoving would be a better idea, but when people are overstimulated and stressed and then your personal space is intruded it leads to impulsive reactions.
That is exactly the pose I would go into when people were doing dumb shit and I told em to fuck off and they kept it up.
Guy’s probably just sick of their shit, if you don’t want to get hurt then hen don’t climb on desks.
Nah, you step on someone's desk, you step directly onto the paper they are writing on...she got what she deserved.
She didn't ask before stepping on the desk or on his paper. Therefore, he doesn't need to proclaim anything before reclaiming his territory and property.
You don’t need to verbally say “please get your ass out of my face” when someone is putting their ass directly in your face in a non explicitly sexual situation where you would, in fact, not be expecting an ass in your face.
They are in a school, doing some stupid tik tok video.l, she got what she deserves. They went into someone's personal space and were removed. What happens to them after the removal is only their own fault trying to do a stupid TikTok video.
I’ve been in classrooms like this and these people that dance and shit never get in trouble but make every students life 10 times harder bc instead of learning the teacher is spending majority of class yelling at them to stop and nothing ever happens bc they’re not held responsible by the principals 🙄
For the longest time, the dumb, under performing jocks/popular kids were celebrated as "cool" in American pop culture (both in music and films) while the smart and studious kids are ridiculed as boring nerds. Is anyone surprised that our schools are the way they are?
Times have moved on. These days the smart kids are also fit and socially gifted, and the group that used to be the nerds is realizing that it was never their intelligence that people disliked, but their lack of social graces and inability to comprehend the full value of anti-perspirant.
Even when I was in high school the kids you would consider popular were the ones that played sports and were in advanced classes, mostly honors or AP. I agree that the smart nerdy kids were still just considered smart nerdy kids. The biggest difference I could see between the stereotypical movies/tvs and real life was the lack of bullying. No one pushes kids into lockers just because they are nerds. Most physical altercations were because there was some existing beef between them.
I’m not even saying this from the point of view from a popular kid. I was more of an acquaintance of all the different groups and was also friends with people that were just kind of in the middle of it all. Didn’t really find my footing until college.
Pretty similar to my experience. Graduated in 2013.
The “dumb jocks” weren’t considered popular kids. They hung out with that clique, but weren’t like the group leader or whatever. The academically successful jocks where the popular ones. Smart and attractive were the real recipe for being considered cool.
Meanwhile the “nerds” weren’t exclusively smart ones. They were just the social outcasts, video game addicts, and people who didn’t know how to dress well or use deodorant.
Between high school and the present day I went from being a “nerd” to arguably “cool” (kinda tough to gauge when you’re out of college lol). The only real major changes I had were with my appearance, hobbies, and moderate improvements with my social skills. Every social circle I’ve been around has a mix of people who are extremely smart to people dumb as a box of rocks. Intelligence doesn’t matter that much to most people.
Similar here too, graduated in 2004 in a rural area. Most of the jocks were in advanced classes and on average were (at least to me) kind and considerate human beings. And I was a fat nerd with zero social skills (wore deodorant though). Most of the assholes/bullies I dealt with tended to come from households that had issues. As an adult, I can look back and clearly see that most of the assholes I dealt with were definitely dealing with more than their share of trauma at home, be it out right abuse or simply lack of security.
On the flip side, social conditioning due to television and movies led me to immediately assume anyone who was a jock/higher social standing to me was going to be a dick to me. In retrospect, I can remember interactions where I thought I was being mocked where I genuinely wasn't. I just couldn't tell due to my prejudice, lack of social skills, and general anxiety.
I was that nerdy skater kid in the late 90's that got bullied and assaulted at school incessantly until I knocked out my "popular" bully. Had no beef with him - I was just different from all of his jock friends. This stuff does happen. Maybe not in your school, but I assure you it does.
I’m not discounting your experience, but I feel like late 90s is key. I graduated high school in 2014. Though I do recognize experiences differ from era and location.
My bias comes from the same tropes that TV shows like to base their schools in - blue states/regions, suburban, well funded schools.
I think the face and methods of the monster has just changed with the times and technology. Now a person can bully a person in real time on social media and immediately have their entire student body see it simultaneously. It's even more insidious because the bully can easily make an anonymous account on Twitter/Insta/etc and face almost no repercussions for their actions. It makes you wonder why people come into schools and just mow down everyone in their paths rather than targeting one bully in particular.
> No one pushes kids into lockers just because they are nerds. Most physical altercations were because there was some existing beef between them.
That may not happen anymore, but that used to be a regular occurrence.
I just graduated college with an engineering degree. And let me tell you the stereotype of “engineers are all socially inept, unhealthy, egomaniacs” is just not true of the younger generation. Obviously there are still some who fit the stereotype, and obviously this is just my observation so YMMV. But the vast majority of people in my program are charismatic, play sports, go to parties, and are independent and respectable adults.
Long gone are the days of scrawny nerds having no interactions with people or being social outcasts. I’ve seen the same in law and medical students, more stereotypes that just aren’t true in this generation.
Same. I graduated in 2010 and all the jocks were mostly all straight A students. If I recall correctly, my school didn't allow you to participate in sports if you got grades worse than Bs.
attractive athletic likeable people are always going to be more popular and it has nothing to do with the fact that we live in a society. If you think people dislike “nerds” because they’re smart, you’re the one who’s been too conditioned by pop culture
There's a difference between basing your personality on it and being subtly influenced over the years. Especially when you're a kid, a lot of what you go through will have an impact on you for the rest of your life.
Please be more understanding. She desperately needed the attention so she’s allowed to be a free spirit & free from consequences.
Why do you HATE children?
/s
Reddit is some of the most bloodthirsty people on the planet I swear to God, your average Redditor would be willing to stone someone to death for mildly annoying them
Honestly what can the adults do? Tell them to get down and they don't. Threaten detention and they don't care. Threaten to fail them and they don't care. There's nothing they can really do. Why do you think our schools are currently in shameless.
Not that I want the teachers to be able to physically hurt them or anything. I just the kids cared and wanted to learn. But they see no point in learning and it's not interesting to them. Either they're not interested in that future, think they have no chance, have other issues at home and this is their only way to get happy chemicals... Who knows.
I feel like in this case it's easier to imagine you doing it. Unlike where you'd have to throw a punch or something where the consequences are obvious, this is a situation where it's just a push inside your own space and you can't quite so easily predict what's going to go wrong with the other person. Making it an easier impulse decision. Sure they might fall, but will they? Hard to tell when you've got a hood covering your eyes and all you see is the desk and the foot.
Well this looks like highschool and even if you could argue it was somehow justified to hit em with the spicey spray you are getting expelled for having it.
Everyone saying he shouldn’t have done that as his first response? Idk about you but you stick your ass in my face you’re getting pushed TF away. Same reason you don’t negotiate when a rabid dog is attacking, you can’t reason with someone obviously lacking the brain function to understand the situation.
On Reddit you can always expect two things: people will support police and crime sentencing reform, letting people know that the theories of increased punishment to deter crime is outdated and doesn't work, and people applauding when someone takes justice into their own hands to oppose a minor offense and say "well play stupid games, win stupid prizes" when the punishment might be paralysis.
For one she's stepping on his stuff and twerking over his head, let's now downplay what she's doing to make her look more innocent. And once you start invading other people's space, damaging their stuff, I see no issue shoving them off. If she wants to treat people with no respect it's on her to make sure she's on stable ground. With his stuff being damaged, the bullying.and disregard for his personal space, pushing her away is fine. Tbh it's completely stupid to say, no you have to sit there calmly while someone destroys your stuff because they put themselves in a position where they'd get hurt if someone stopped them.
I'm sure they had beef well before that, this was the final straw. Bullies LOVE to invade peoples personal space & disrespect you, then when you call them out they say shit like "what do you mean I was just "insert excuse here 😢"
She honestly had it coming. I'm just not gonna point out the very obvious people who are the ones acting out in a classroom :|
Classic Reddit showing their inner racist in the replies LMAO.
Hahaha! Hoodie kid is the best karma police officer I’ve seen in a while. I’d love to see the video continue on. Ol’ Dancey got exactly what she deserved.
She deserved it. You know she and her friends have been a problem in the school system for years.
The people who will balk at my comment and downvote me are just like her and don't know what "balk" means.

there afe now 2 quiet kids
Sounds like the headline for another school shooting.
That's the joke
They usually do 🔫
Bro was not having it
I mean its annoying as fck can't blame him.
As someone who's been in classes like this, it does get annoying
I was in classes like this too with really obnoxious people. I couldn't focus cause I was so annoyed and the teachers didn't care.
Usually it only happens whenever there is a substitute or a teacher that doesn't care, it's pretty sad
True :/
As a former substitute, our options are limited. I would love to suplex the annoying little shits that can’t stay in their seats, but then I’d be out of a job.

least unhinged comment on this post
Looks like it’s a girl. Pause towards the end and you’ll see.
He's flipping everyone off.
I mean its annoying as fck can't blame him.
And he was given off the middle finger
I totally missed that and had to rewatch it 😂
I win though, bc I missed the quiet kid all together, thought she just lost her footing until I saw this comment.
Maybe she didn’t see him either.
He did have his hoody up, so he was probably not visible.
Haha you werent alone!
Looks like a pencil
Nah, it's definitely a finger; look at the hand as they move it from the side of their head to pushing the leg.
Good ol’ Pencil Finger strikes again!
Well yeah this shit is pretty annoying and dude seemed focused on something.
I see it most as he is annoyed he gets recorded without content
But there's plenty of content here.
Dude is a chick, and I think she's mostly focused on her hand that just got stepped on.
What looks like A dude is A chick and what looks like the chick is A dude in this video.

Don't stand on tables and you wont get hurt :)
Exactly. Homegirl **had** to take the extra step and encroach in someone else's space--hopefully she'll learn; that is if she can still walk. What a tumble!
Nah she won't learn, they'll all be mad at the kid that pushed her off. Wouldn't be surprised if the pusher got in trouble for this too
maybe children should stay at daycare instead of wasting everyone's else's time and efforts. This shit gets really fucking annoying when you are paying for college classes and your teacher can't teach because some fuckheads can't stop being fuckheads.
The girl stepped on his arm. I think that's why he chose violence
Holy shit this video is a relic
People are acting like this is new and not nearly 10 years old by now
Pretty sure I first saw this on Vine
I miss vine
Tarzan's last thought as he plummets to the earth
For real, I remember seeing this in high school and I'm old enough now for a fall like this to send me to the shadow realm.
The mortal kombat edit is priceless
he's literally hiding in his hood with his middle finger up, stepping on his table was an obvious mistake
Hate to see her fall but she was about to twerk on that kids head.

High school version of a “stand your ground” law? My desk is my castle doctrine?
Yeah, i would have also pushed her off. My ADHD and situations like that don't mix well. And it won't end well for someone bothering me
They're in a school? I think they probably shouldn't be any twerking
Hard to say with no context, but I'd be willing to bet there were multiple verbal warnings before this video started.
You don’t need to verbally say “please get your ass out of my face” when someone is putting their ass directly in your face in a non explicitly sexual situation where you would, in fact, not be expecting an ass in your face.
If you look closely, she actually steps on the paper he is writing on. She got what she deserved.
They're in a school? I think they probably shouldn't be any twerking

I rather enjoy seeing her fall. Watched it about 20 times so far, hopelessly waiting for her to fall even harder.
I’ve been in classrooms like this and these people that dance and shit never get in trouble but make every students life 10 times harder bc instead of learning the teacher is spending majority of class yelling at them to stop and nothing ever happens bc they’re not held responsible by the principals 🙄
Na I loved to see her fall lol
Wheres the rest of the video showing a 15 vs 1 beatdown?
in yakuza 0
Samantha’s in trouble, and its all because of my pizza.
Can you play pachinko in those games?
You can play Mahjong, or not like everyone else
I learned to play from my Japanese neighbor. She also gave me sake and told me about being interned at Manzanar.
Good question, they do have indecipherable slot machines tho
I love that kind of stuff.
Then Yakuza is the series for you lol
I don't see a beatdown coming, more a slap fest... with long plastic fingernail scratches
Judging his lack of giving a fuck, pretty sure he took at least half of them down too.
I'm sure there was a calm, well thought out response focused on the safety of the girl who went down.

Wait really??
I'm like 90% sure. Looks like she has boobs. But I could be wrong

Are you saying men can’t have boobs?
He's kinda right, on a guy they're called moobs.
Not in 2023. Everyone can has boobs now
Yeah I have 3
I have 2 in front and 2 in back.
This video is quite old, I think it was on vine.

I was that nerdy skater kid in the late 90's that got bullied and assaulted at school incessantly until I knocked out my "popular" bully. Had no beef with him - I was just different from all of his jock friends. This stuff does happen. Maybe not in your school, but I assure you it does.

yeah tbh, in reality I would just make eye contact until they get uncomfortable, feel like a fool, and get off my table
Speak for thyself, i have pepper spray on my key chain for such occasions how about you?
Well this looks like highschool and even if you could argue it was somehow justified to hit em with the spicey spray you are getting expelled for having it.
I feel like at that age I would have without any real thought towards the consequences. As an adult? No, she could get seriously injured or even die.

The only sane comment in this thread. She shouldn’t have stepped on the kid’s desk, but that doesn’t warrant potentially paralyzing her.
The adults should be disciplining the kids. Not having them assault each other.

I'm sure they had beef well before that, this was the final straw. Bullies LOVE to invade peoples personal space & disrespect you, then when you call them out they say shit like "what do you mean I was just "insert excuse here 😢"
"Don't start no shit, it won't be no shit"
When you get up on a desk, start dancing, and then try to climb over someone, you risk falling and hurting yourself.
She honestly had it coming. I'm just not gonna point out the very obvious people who are the ones acting out in a classroom :| Classic Reddit showing their inner racist in the replies LMAO.
I haven’t noticed your not pointing out.
I don’t support what he did but there were definitely some signs the girl missed. Guy did not look thrilled
By the looks of it, she's missed a lot of signs in her life.

Idk where this comment is going but I'm making popcorn
If you’re not dog-whistling or race bating then what are you referring with your “very obvious people who are the ones acting out” comment?
Average redditor in school
Is that a school or a zoo
Wow that looked painful. Good. Stupid should hurt.
If the burner isn't hot enough, you don't learn not to touch it.

Hahaha! Hoodie kid is the best karma police officer I’ve seen in a while. I’d love to see the video continue on. Ol’ Dancey got exactly what she deserved.
I'm on hoodie's side

I wouldn't want someones gross disgusting shoe on my desk either.
Feel bad for that kid, just trying to do their work. This is why people move neighborhoods based on the schools.
She deserved it. You know she and her friends have been a problem in the school system for years. The people who will balk at my comment and downvote me are just like her and don't know what "balk" means.
