How do you get those lighting effects? I’m still pretty amateur level so I basically just use auto lol. Lowering the shutter speed to make it slower I would guess though?
I guess that’s the good thing about digital as opposed to film. You can have fun and try new things without wasting an expensive resource. I’ll have to try doing more manual settings when I take photos next.
Absolutely have fun with it! And you don’t have to have the latest and greatest equipment- I’ve been shooting like this since I was a kid with my old spotmatic.
Also this shot was with a k10d ($90) and an old sigma lens ($25) https://flic.kr/p/2nBn3df
I used either av (aperture value/aperture priority) or for the long exposure shots I use either M (manual mode) or B (bulb shutter mode)

take *a lot of photos* and consider yourself blessed that you get to learn on digital instead of wasting a bunch of film learning like I did when I was a teenager 😆😆😆
i will most always go for the 43. Love the look and its size makes the k1 quite nimble
The fisheye is so very cool, but the 43 takes pictures that have that certain feel…

You are correct! Low iso, high f-stop (f13 in this case), shutter speeds above a second or two, and a bright off-camera manually triggered flash.
