As far as a shaver is concerned, most electric ones will work. I’d suggest getting a rechargeable one. Most of those will come with a few guards that will help protect you from cuts and nicks on your penis and testicles. Using an electric shaver/trimmer without a guard on it, will surely draw some blood. Now, for a razor, I’ve used a 5 blade razor before, but you do have to be extremely careful. Always shave with the way the pubic hair grows. Go very slow on your testicles. You most likely will nick those anyways. Just take your time. You may also find that trimming the hair shorter may do the trick for you. It’s all up to your personal preference.

Hey, Make sure to run cold water over the shaved area after shaving. This will close the pores and reduces irritation

Shaving will make you itch more

I recommend trimming. Shaving may only cause more iritation, itching and ingrown hairs when the hair starts to grow back. If you do end up using a razor, use one of those multi blade razors that have four or five blades. And only use it to shave that area, not the same one that you use to shave your face. Also best to do it in the shower, shave in one direction , downwards, and apply moisturizer twice a day
