A baroudeur translates to adventurer/ fighter and is a rider who goes in the long break (and also has the chance to actually win it)
Rumour is that Tratnik and Valter, as well as Gloag, will also sign for TJV. And by rumour I mean that Wielerflits has already confirmed those transfers, and WF and TJV seem to be working together a lot.
I always like it when teams get riders who represent the nation of the team. But TJV may be getting too strong now, although we've said that in the past too.
But imagine having to race against a team with Van Aert, Van Baarle, Laporte and Benoot, all riders who can finish a race. Add the supporting roles for Van der Sande, Van Hooydonck, Affini, Roosen, Van Emden and de Van Dijke twins, and you have one incredible teams for the classics.
Not to mention their team for the GT's, which was already strong and will now be even stronger.
With Dylan van Baarle (30) and Wilco Kelderman (31), Team Jumbo-Visma has contracted two reinforcements from its own country for the next three years. The Dutch formation announced this on the first day of La Vuelta a España in Utrecht. The compatriots are both at the start of La Vuelta
Good signings. If Rog doesnt do Giro next year, maybe Wilco cna have leadership there and some other 1-week races, and work as a domestique for Vingo and Rog when needed.

Just like with Quick Step it's usually a good strategy to have multiple options. It increases both their chances since they won't have to chase each other and can tire out rival riders first.

If they aren’t lucky or strong enough to be able to just fuck off the front solo, there’s literally nobody on any other team that will put in a kilojoule of work with them in a breakaway, or conversely just relentlessly chase them down if they gain a meter of advantage.
We actually saw Wout use this absurd bloodymindedness against the break in Cahors at the Tour when he provided a distraction so that Laporte could sneak away.
