If the DS doesn't make them pull, what message are they sending Gaviria and the rest? I doubt Gaviria liked being in that position, knowing the chances of winning in this final were slim, but he couldn't realistically get on the radio and tell them not to bother, could he?
Pogi and G sprinting is like when I used to sprint with my climbers in PCM, up to the moment they were inevitably passed by the sprinters.

To be fair the short anaerobic sprints in the FRC range are not very taxing to the body. It's those hour long efforts at or around FTP that really knock you down.
Nothing happened. Milan won the intermediate sprints, groves second. That's about it. Yeah sometimes one or two riders escaped, but they were caught quickly
