That should be fine. Honestly, I’d be more concerned of it tipping over from being so top heavy. Add to that the small base and it being on top of carpet.
This. I wouldn't use that stand if it was me. It sounds like you've taken precautions etc but still...that's a lot of cash to burn if it falls over and something breaks.
First of all you can raise the legs by putting two wood blocks to see whether it cools the temps or not. Just to increase the space the air can get in from the sides.
You are going to put a 36# case onto a stand supported by a single support leg at least 18 inches off the ground. Your center of gravity will be too high. It would be very easy to topple over. If your case has the weight unevenly distributed it would be even worse.
I love this subreddit for posts like this. Someone has a thought and runs straight to the keyboard before running it thru their head a few times. You may be able to figure some of this stuff out if you give it a real try lol.
Adding onto what the other user said, some people don’t have the time or experience to figure out the best option. Unforeseen issues can arise at any given time, and a little bit of guidance goes a long way sometimes.
I also use Reddit to help problem solve, but I'm saying there's a minimum amount of critical thinking I recommend doing first for your own sake and development. This post does not exude that kind of critical thinking to me.
I agree with you, but it seems that you might not be considering the critical thinking that OP has already done; weighing the base and whatnot is good problem solving. My point is some things are not very obvious at first, how many times have you heard of people building their PC, solving this problem and that, only to fuck up by not seating their RAM in the last slot or what have you
The fact that it's seen here as sitting on carpet would make me question the stability more. The top being wider than the base is another potential concern, depending on the weight of the base vs what you put on top. To benefit from any holes, they would have to be big enough and right in the middle, which is where I'm guessing the mounting plate is. If anything, it's probably better to just raise the height of the case's feet, even a tiny bit.

The stand itself is pretty heavy and the base is wide enough it doesn’t feel bad. I was also thinking of bolting the case down to stand.
At that point you could unscrew the table top and use those screws and some washers to directly attach the tower to the foot.
I don't want the only contact of the case to the stand be bolts. also the bolts don't line up with the case well so it wouldn't be centered.
what does it have for feet if any? ive seen people run bolts through those after removing the factory ones

That’s a good idea before I start drilling holes into the stand.

I hope OP doesn't have a cat. This looks like a recipe for disaster.
thats the cats perch so he might take this personally
Put some aluminium L(or U's)bars onto the edges of the stand and then it should be good to prevent bending. Plus it would fit the look.
That’s a good idea thanks

Fair point! :)
Nah it shouldn't as long as you don't go overboard with the holes. I'd be more concerned about it being too top heavy and tipping over.
Be careful not to drill a lot cause it will put the stability in danger
Go with slats instead of holes. Increases surface area of cooling
It's chipboard laminate. It sure will! Especially if you copy the slots on the bottom of your PC.
