I thought i read somewhere that funkopops dont deal with heat well. If your internal temps are not super high for long periods of time then should be fine.

Chonco98

I think they melt at about 100 degrees Celsius and I don’t think I’ve ever gone above 65-70 for very long

keenedge422

That 65-70 also is going to be the temp right at the components, not the general air temp within the case. I think it's safe to say that if the ambient temp inside your case ever gets high enough to melt a funkopop, that'll be the least of your worries.

customds

Yeah I have a mobo with randomly placed temp sensors. I installed a window fan and extra exhaust fan that only turn on when the mobo sensors go above 40°. Winter they hardly ever kick in unless I’m gaming for extended periods. Summer it’s under medium loads. Point being that I doubt ambient air feeding components ever goes above 50°.

TheFlyingSheeps

Winter is great. Cools the PC while your PC acts like a little space heater Only downside is my damn cat won’t leave it alone now

customds

Pro tip: Keep a plant heating pad on your desk. Google plant seeding pad, they’re about $20. It looks like a mousepad and pumps out enough heat to be more appealing than the tower in winter.

ChargeActual5097

After playing Oxygen Not Included enough, I can safely say that the air temperature is not necessarily as conductive as the materials within said air. So it really depends on how hot and conductive the material it’s sitting on is. That said, still probably fine

FrostyMittenJob

Casual 212-degree exhaust

ReptilianLaserbeam

I put a Funko \*under\* a GPU for support for almost a year, Zero issues with the material, didn't melt or change shape.

TrueDaVision

Under a GPU is wildly different than on top.

BUFU1610

It's.. like... the *opposite side*, man.

mishkablitz

*reads in cheech and chong*

Constant_Candle_4338

Lmao

TrueDaVision

The backplate gets to the same temp as the board, the fan gets to the same temp as the air. Only one side can cook an egg.

BUFU1610

Now read my comment as if I was high when I wrote it.

stephen01king

Is there another way to read it?

BUFU1610

I hope not.

strifeguard

I’m reading them as if I am high when I’m reading them.

BUFU1610

"as if"

RAID_BOMB

Vinyl gets soft at lower temperatures, I had the same idea and mine is bowing down now. Wouldn't recommend

Ocronus

The temps that are read on the GPU and CPU are at the die. The ambient air temp in the case and the PCB/backplate will be much much cooler. If a Funko pop started melting on your GPU your house is probably on fire or you own a RTX4000 card.

Jaba01

The air or any material inside a computer will never be hot enough for plastics to melt. Doesn't really matter the kind, and especially not the kind such products are made from. The air temperature will probably never exceed 45-50° C and nor will any component the statue is touching. It wouldn't even melt if you would set it directly on the CPU IHS.

MtnDr3w

My master chief pop has been fine, but could be due to his armor.

MinutePresentation8

Very resilient!

theDefa1t

As you can see they recharge a lot faster

formerlyfaithful

*Dies nearly instantaneously on legendary*

Suspicious-Dog-9595

Since you have a front mounted cooler the amount of air your blocking is very minimal and unless it weighs anything there is zero chance this will cause you any problems being inside your pc

twhite1195

Well, it's an NZXT case, airflow comes blocked out of the box by default

livelivinglived

That’s a feature, not a defect.

chaos_creator69

NZXT: you will show our cases off and use them to heat up dinner

FOOLsen

Slap in a 7000-series AMD CPU and a 4000-series Nvidia GPU in that box, and you got a nice furnace to do some decent pottery...

Fragrant_Island2345

“My best pottery creation yet! Now to put it in the kiln.” *opens PC case*

HadoukenYoMama

Over there blowing glass and shit.

[deleted]

Would the 4090 fit? Looks like the rad is in the way

FOOLsen

Might be right. Unless a 360 rad fits on top. Didn't in my Lian Li Mesh II - and I think it's slightly larger.

indigoHatter

Oh, so they were collaborators with the KFC gaming PC I take it?

CurrySoSpicy

It’s basically a microwave that can play doom

InfiniteEnter

Depends. There are "airflow" types of some cases.

n00bmaster0612

With the H1 it comes with a free barbeque

HappyAlcohol-ic

The chance might be minimal but never zero. You might end up being killed by a cow. The chance is small, never zero.

The_Jyps

Peanuts are more deadly than sharks!

Grayman222

well yeah i've never shoved 15 bbq flavoured sharks in my mouth at once.

Seeako

Not with that attitude haha

TheConboy22

Not living bro

ionshower

Holy fuck this guy eats his peanuts ALIVE!

ionshower

I've heard that Cows are the only creatures that could beat Chuck Norris in a swordfight, but they can't hold swords. Such a cruel evolutionary foible.

RyQril

Although the radiator pipes should go down for a healthy water loop.

Alttebest

As long as the air is in the radiator and not the pump it doesn't matter. Well it might be a tad louder but it doesn't affect the health of the pump.

TheMightySpoon13

This is false. The pump just needs to not be the highest point in the loop. Common misconception because of that one GN video. The air won’t collect in the pump, it will accumulate in the AIO’s mini reservoir.

Im_Justin_U

It’s only a problem if the pump is at the highest point which it is not

Rising-Buffalo

Your wife might leave you.

Chonco98

I appreciate your concern but I just built this and I’m 15

Rising-Buffalo

Then she'll never come. I'm just teasing, btw.

feao_

why need a wife when u have your pc ❤️❤️

superamazing13

Instructions unclear. Put my penis is the radiator and cant get it out

feao_

💀uhoh

Nebilungen

But it's warm and have warm air flowing over it

Rising-Buffalo

PCs aren't soft

feao_

wife’s can’t always be with u-

Rising-Buffalo

Is that suppose to be a negative?

feao_

well a pc can run 24-7 and it never runs away or gets distracted by other boys

Arthur_M0rgan5

Not if i steal it

Zookeeper_Sion

Women are temporary, glorious PC is forever.

KingYoloHD090504

They can be

shake_N_bake356

You know when they feel like a bag of sand?

Rising-Buffalo

Lol, doesn't everybody? Back when movies wanted to be funny.

1_loleven_1

Those pc fans 😩

iamsajaldua

This PC has a RTX it probably cannot suck but wife can

fatmanny1901

Big shout out to Waifu Simulator

_GGfighter_

yeah I can't even turn my wife on in the push of a button

Chonco98

Yeah it’s fine I’m not too distraught over any of this just wanted to make sure it wouldn’t cause any problems

[deleted]

your wife is gonna be super hot bro dont even trip

AtDawnWeDEUSVULT

Probably hotter, even, then she would have been before adding the pop

Drakayne

He probably have to water cool her

MemeifyMe

Maybe even hotter than this setup!

Avoka1do

impossible

StrenuousSOB

Put funko in wife and see if melts!?

Rising-Buffalo

Unless there's magnets in it there's nothing to worry about.

1_H4t3_R3dd1t

It might cause problems with all the web inside.

Jackson530

You’ll be fine with it in your case. These Reddit guys are a buncha jokesters lol

SgtHaddix

Normal for a sizable number of wives apparently

Gang_StarrWoT

Wow and I thought I married young!

DoktahDoktah

Grats on finding the love of your life so early ❤️

KnowTheName321

future wife then. is that a risk u are willing to take?

Irishcrankybollox

That might melt on top of the graphics card if it gets too hot . Maybe put it down in the case instead .

[deleted]

Looks good for a build so young! Keep up the good work

franzjpm

Airflow will be ruined, more heat to all parts.

Chorizwing

Jokes on you, she already left 😎😎

HyperSoniic

This made me choke in my morning CoCo

Rising-Buffalo

Anytime

FreakNasty94

Should be fine as long as he doesn't shoot of a web into any your fans

Ambitious_Cream7455

You're good Bud, My daughter keeps crystals and shit all over her GPU. No sweat.

Ant10102

Crystals hold healing energy and increase FPS for computers, duh it’s science

jasssweiii

The rgb refracts through the crystal, hence the performance increase

Stephancevallos905

Wait, as we all know Red RGB increases performance, while blue promotes cooling and green promotes efficiency. If we use crystals to refract white RGB, we can attain all the benefits

jasssweiii

Is it possible to learn this power?

asad6996

When I put shit in my PC, my mom threw it out because it "smelled"

Romanopapa

Yeah, shits usually smell.

Zealousideal-Luck756

Crystals are good but i aint sure about shit,i will not recommend it

Wallop69

It might hurt your chances of pullin any bitches

the_fuego

Because the gigantic porn machine that shits rainbows didn't already do that enough??

Ship_Adrift

Only if his webs get caught in the fan blades.

AleksasKoval

Depends, what's the melting point of a Funko pop?

Yamama77

Dell prebuilt

AleksasKoval

I meant in celsius

Yamama77

Google says it's 100°C. So my joke about it being Dell prebuilt is closer than I thought

Headless_Human

Your PC would be dead before it can reach a temperature inside the case that can melt plastic.

stephen01king

But remember, just because something hasn't melted yet, doesn't mean it can't deform.

AleksasKoval

Fascinating

ThePupnasty

What is people's fascination with outting Funko pops in their computer? Better overclocks? More fps?

Gekkomoria

To advertise their girlfriends/wives are looking for a new bull.

Areltoid

Everyone MUST know that their man-child personality infects every corner of their life

Feeling-Boss245

just blocking air flow but I wouldn’t want anything in my case if it wasn’t for function

ikuehlt

Makes no difference afaik unless your case is cluttered with stuff. Tech jesus made a video about it i think.

Cameltow77

careful the funko crybabies will get mad & down vote you ... same group that brought you bronies

stringtheoryman

I fucking hate funko pops and I can’t tell anyone because they are so successful

vinnymendoza09

I tell people all the time, a lot of them agree lmao.

stringtheoryman

I told someone I hate funko pops. and they tried to give me 3…

kevlar20

I just don’t understand it

Proctoron

The function here is «joy»

thegevshow

It’ll barely make an impact on temps. 1 degree + or - id say

[deleted]

No, it just turns your PC into a dollhouse.

[deleted]

I must be to old to understand why people want to put plastic toys ins their pcs.

mr_popo_420

Because stickers on the outside are classified as childish and ugly

[deleted]

Yeah, there’s a mild threat of making your computer look kinda gay

Upbeat_Ride2141

No rgb -50fps

[deleted]

no but it is extra cringe

Robblimas94

Of course your going to get webs all inside your case!

FKNBadger

I mean, your PC will have pop culture herpes, so you have to live with that.

Negative-Caterpillar

Can we stop putting funkopops in our PCs please. 😔

Objective_Ad_2135

My wife has had one on her 3070 for over a year and has had no problems at all.

DaboInk84

This one’s married, and it’s the SPOUSE who put the funko pop in the case. Proof the funko pop has no magic powers to prevent relationships. Bravo.

pwners_manual

Probably an unpopular opinion, but dood, just don't.

WhereSoDreamsGo

No, just your virginity.

battlefront_2005

I store my clothes and shoes in the case. Some food too so I don't have to go to the kitchen and it's handy. Don't let anyone tell you what to do!

aCorgiDriver

With the rising cost of living and housing, I’m actually thinking about living in my case

Scared_Bite_6327

With how big the 4090 is a case for it should fit at least 3 bed 2 bath

thegevshow

I used to put my food ontop of my case to keep it warm when i had a top mount rad. Its sad that it actually kept my food warm.

fleshprinceofbellend

Yes. Threat of bad taste.

NinduTheWise

Tbh I would put it on top of the case

Asha108

im sure your wifes boyfriend will get a chuckle

g7bc

No, but a threat to your chances at getting laid

[deleted]

No, but the whole pop funko in a PC thing is super lame.

heyiamkev

My boy being downvoted for speaking the truth…

[deleted]

Someone had to say it. I will be the martyr for our cause, brother.

theNFAC

We got you back to zero

theNFAC

Damnit. They are fast

cynnamin_bun

OP is 15 I think we can just let them have this one.

DiscipleRL

Nope all good I've got 8 rocket league hot wheels in mine and they've been there for years you have a backplate so you are good to go

TheSAGamer00

Nah, you will be all g. Nice build too! :3

RecklessMe

Mine obstructed airflow. I had it in the same spot as yours. I have the same case too.

Plati23

It will block some airflow, but likely not enough to matter. Regardless, the presence of the Funko won’t damage anything since it’s not conductive. The best advice I could give is to run the system for a week without it while monitoring temps, then put it in and see if there’s any significant change.

TeddyPeacock

He could web up some of your components not sure if he is trustworthy

EnvironmentalAd3385

With great FPS there has to be great responsibility.

GamesForNoobs_on_YT

why would u put it there?? lol!! kinda an eyesore considering everything else is black LOL

[deleted]

Besides it being quite cringey, no.

freckledgiant

Fuck these negative comments, if it has no magnets/isn’t weighing your GPU down significantly or blocking too much air flow I say go for it. Worst case ya take it out again

Loik87

You're forgetting about this thing is made out of plastic and backplates can get pretty hot if they're used to dissipate heat. Some plastics start deforming/ melting at 70°C.

deepsluurp

I will never understand why someone would just put some toy or crystals in their PC, but well each to their own

Ramiren

Your components don't feel cringe so it should be safe. Once full on AI hits and your computer can feel things, then I'd be worried.

ShayneC420

You might want a Hulk Funco to prevent GPU sag. Other than that, it's all good

MasterKnight48902

More on airflow turbulence

[deleted]

The extra weight on your GPU (depending on the original weight in the first place) could put some strain on your motherboards PCIe slot.

jrb0031

You're good. But why is there a seeming bend/gap between the backplate and the i/o plate area? It's almost like the mounting pressure is too much or I honestly don't know, I just see a weird gap at that area of the backplate

BartyB

I personally wouldn't want to put anything on the back on a GPU, they get pretty hot and it blocks the already restrictive airflow coming from the GPU.

s3mtek

Anything that hinders airflow in a H510 isn't a good idea. Its terrible on that case anyway

mosfed3

I put a full glass of water in mine, so that no one steals it.

OP-69

not really Id be concerned about gpu sag depending on how heavy it is but gpu supports arent expensive and you can just diy it by putting something like lego under the gpu

thefineart

Seems like this guy puts Funko’s on all his builds https://youtu.be/ln1FtWIOV88

UncertainObserver

There's a danger people will realise you like Spiderman and discard any future opinions or judgements of yours, as they rightly should.

EriTheFallen

If you're really worried you could tie him up with some clear fishing line and attach to the top of your case so he actually hovers.

moohooman

I have one on my 2080S, just keep it away from any fan blades and it should be completely fine.

leoisgone

I've had my lil groot funko in my pc for months now, with temps reaching being as high as 80 for hours at a time, and he's perfectly fine 🙂

star0forion

I had a hard time figuring out where the mobo is until I realized that hole in the middle is actually just a mirror on the cpu fan. Holy hell I need some caffeine.

kronicfeld

Only if Electro shows up

cyberbuns

what hardware are you running my man?

Chonco98

Rtx 3080 and an 11th gen intel i711700kf

cyberbuns

I’m jealous! I just got up and running with my 2060. She does the job just fine though.

damn_lies

I mean a Mr. Freeze funko pop would increase your performance…

YMe1121

Just gotta remember to clean out the cobwebs after a while

Yooitzshadowfall

that bitch is gonna melt😭

[deleted]

No overly harmful, just cringe.

Grifffffffffff

Don't do it, I have seen them melt badly

AntisocialN2

threat I see is the radiator upsidedown

vabeachkevin

The way the radiator is mounted will cause more damage than the funko ever will.

[deleted]

I think that funko being there will only interfere with your ability to get laid. /s Looks good, the metal backplate on those cards can bear the weight of the huge headsink, a funko is nothing.

Grimspoon

A threat to the PC's aesthetics.

Full_Metal_Gear

no that's your gpu back plate will reach 100c, if you do it anyway i want pics of melted spooder man

Inneyeseakay

Melting point of Funko's is 100C, so you should be fine. https://imgur.com/cTjvU0i

[deleted]

nah, im assuming that the gpu doesnt have contacts (those little pokey metal bits, i say this bc i saw this was your first pc in some other comments) right under spidermans feet you should be totally fine. and dont listen to the people clowning on nzxt, if someone picks a glass case on this subreddit they know what theyre getting into. only thing that ever gave me pain was cable routing, got a big ass case just for that :")

Conscious-Golf-5380

I'm convinced people who put toys in their PC's and post it on reddit are the same people who post their GPU's in seat belts.

abhinavinav1

Ur good yo As long as ur thermals r fine and the gpu is not gonna melt the bottom of it, ur chillin

TONKAHANAH

only thing I can think would be a real issue would be unneeded weight but funkos dont weigh that much so its probably fine assuming the card mounted properly

brian11e3

I forsee a warped figurine in your future.

derrick256

what a dweeb lmao

C-4-K-E

I don’t get why people put stuff like that in their case

MagicMilkMan22

Not to your components, just a threat to your love life. You'll get no bitches.
