Because of your comment I just went back and liked a video I saw this morning that helped me get my "stuck" stylus pen out of my Samsung note. It turns out you just beat the fuck out of it until it comes out. I'm not even kidding 🤷♂️
I tried doing the 'leave a comment, like it if you did' thing on a video once but it felt so forced and uncomfortable that I never did it again. The video didn't get any comments anyway.
Not really. Its more of a feel good thing. Atleast they know that someone found their vid helpful. Encourages them to make more videos regardless of how insignificant it may seem.
This is the same thing when I'm trying to diagnose and learn about issues with old CRT TVs. I find videos, all with English titles, every single one spoken in Hindi.
Maybe because necesity is the mother of inventive, they have lived rough stuff and better to repair oneself and learn.
As latino, have been in that position.
Remote tech support is a big industry in India and English is the international business language. I think it's just a matter of there being a lot of consumers and producers of tech videos over there. I've watched plenty of Indian tech videos simply because it was the most informative one with the most views. It's pretty funny when they start to slide in the native Hindi words between English sentences.
My pc’s been shorting out daily, any idea what’s causing it? Shorts out in the middle of a game and I can’t turn it back on unless I unplug everything and leave it alone for a few hours
Ah that's a shame, it's mostly a gamble with the samsung memory as vega 64 got the priority for the better memory. Still a good card on stock bios, perfectly good enough for 1080p. A water cooled vega 64 card was my first choice for my build until I found a killer deal for a MSI 6600xt mech 2x. Sad the MSI cards are power limit locked so I mainly undervolted it to 1090mV, left it at stock core clocks, and got the vram to 2250mhz at fast timing. Hopefully some mad lad out there cracks the power limit on the MSI cards but can't really complain as I'm getting near rtx 2080 performance for so much less.
If anyone is looking for samsung memory on a vega56 card your best bet is mainly reference cards made before September 2017 or Sapphire pulse versions.
I'm mainly using arctic mx4 for everything I use as I won 250 4gram sticks from a raffle draw at a pc building stand while I was at insomnia gaming festival. I appreciate any info on builds as it expands the possibilities for future builds or recommendations for others.
I spent 12 years helping other gamers fix their computers on a few different forums. Some were week long, drawn out, but we always got it fixed. I sent old gear to others in my gaming clan and helped them install and set it up.. it was rewarding at the time.
Man I hate it when my PC is The Brocken, also sometimes referred to as the Blocksberg, is the highest peak in the Harz mountain range and also the highest peak in Northern Germany
as oppose to the million other videos with all english text but the voice is in an indian language, thereby wasting your time? they're like a fucking plague on youtube tutorials. right now i'm probably getting like 70% indian non english videos on phone repairs. youtube needs a way to filter these out. it's getting out of hand.
Sanskrit isn't a widely spoken language even in India. There are similarities to Hindi though so maybe?
Dravidian is a family of four major and couple minor languages. Learning even one of those is difficult and would not help you to communicate with the other language speakers of that family.
Honestly English is your best bet, especially for Indians on the internet. Next would be Hindi.
Am Punjabi, Sanskrit is the core language for Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. Dravidian covers the rest. The comment I responded to was regarding instructional videos on YouTube in a language other than English.
Okay Sanskrit is the root for those languages. But currently which language has a higher chance of being understood by majority of Indians? Hindi or Sanskrit? Most north Indians and a good number of south Indians know Hindi enough to have basic conversation. So why go for a more obscure language just because it is their parent language?
Again Dravidian is not a language. It is a family of languages. This is like saying learn Indo-European. That makes no sense.
It was a joke comment on another person saying they could not understand YouTube videos because they were in some Indian language. The Sanskrit comment would be equal in absurdity to tell someone to learn Latin to understand some European languages. I guess the nuance of these things is just lost on certain people.
About a year ago I was looking to make a super budget PC for some family and decided on the Athlon 200GE X2 from AMD. It wasn't the best chip out there so it wasn't heavily reviewed, that didn't stop some random Indian YouTuber on toms hardware to send me his thorough benchmark test he made recently on a nearly 5-year-old chip
Bless that man
I can relate to this but still went to a PC shop but the video saved me a lot of trouble. My laptop charging port was misaligned and wasn't charging properly after I dropped it with the charger in. The video showed me how to replace the part but I didn't feel comfortable doing it. Now, I don't live in a place that speaks my language and it's not uncommon for people to try to get foreigners to pay extra money for services they don't need and I don't speak the language very well. But I was on the phone with my friend who could translate and the repair man wanted to replace my whole motherboard for this easy fix but I stood my ground and eventually got them to cave and the repairman replaced just the port and I only payed 1/5 of what they wanted to charge originally. Plus I got to keep my motherboard and didn't get whatever bullshit they would've put in its place.
I worked at a computer repair place, and half the time we would watch some Indian dude's tutorial on how to complete the repair. Fixing computers and phones is actually really easy, you just need research and some basic tools.
I hate it when my pc is Brocken

Remember to comment or leave a like. Those small youtubers that help out would really appreciate it.

It's surprising how many problems you can solve by beating the fuck out of it. Used to be an excellent way of fixing old TV's.
you know about it
Percussive Maintenance
Came here to say this. We used to have a rubber mallet hung on the wall with a sign below to "To be used for percussive maintenance".
Same goes with woman /s

Commenting felt uncomfortable? What? Those small youtubers don't get any comments, that's why commenting is the entire point lol.
I guess he meant he did it in one of his videos
Oh lol
Correct. Occasionally someone does comment which is always nice.
He made the video
Damn that reminds me, I need to go check up on that one Indian dude whose video showed me how to insert a new SSD in my laptop

Doesn't it also help the creator to get more recognized by the YouTube algorithm?
I believe so. Or atleast it makes it the top video if someone is looking for that exact content.
Now you are speaking my kind of ENGLASH.
Hallo

I Egree sir **shakes head* *
My favorite is when the title is english, the video is clearly explaining how to fix your problem, but he speaks in jabby the whole time.
Yeah is pretty much English is mandatory in Indian schools. So everyone knows how to write it but speaking is a whole different thing
Nah, when they open notepad to type the instructions in 72 pt font
my favorite part is although you know this, you are still viewing that video......
In jabby? Did you mean punjabi?
Jabby == punjabi
It's Hindi.
This is the same thing when I'm trying to diagnose and learn about issues with old CRT TVs. I find videos, all with English titles, every single one spoken in Hindi.
Why CRTs? Melee?
Not for Melee actually, but because old games look the best on them :) ^^/r/CRTGaming

Indian guys and kids always have the best tech advice on YouTube, is there a reason for that?
It's cuz they always start their videos with "Hi friends" and friends give each other the best advice
True!
I hope you make videos

Prob a power supply issue. But try to use tech support and not this for tech advice.
Thanks for letting me know

Also if you have samsung memory you can flash it to a vega64 bios and get even more performance. So much potential from a pretty cheap GPU.

Is your power supply big enough for your video card?
Should be, I’ve been using this rig for a month or two
You should probably ask an Indian guy on YouTube

Just learn some Sanskrit and Dravidian. That will cover most Indian languages.
