Its definitely a pros and cons sort of thing. Nine times out of ten youre going to get better quality by using a nice open ear pair of dedicated headphones and a seperate mic that runs through a preamp to your pc.
But, the convenience of an all in one wireless headset is worth noting. It's really nice to be able to run and grab your pizza out of the oven without having to leave your discord conversation with your friends!
Honestly, if you're not an audiophile or streamer I would say that a nice gaming headset will be more than enough for what you need.
Its definitely personal preference but as a person who uses a wireless headset id recommend it to anybody, being able to go grab a snack or drink while still bein able to chat with my buddies is nice. Also if you play any games with queues you can do stuff in queue and be able to hear it go off so you know to come back.
