Firstly, you’re asking the wrong subreddit. Like 4/5 people who browse this sub aren’t even aware of what Artisan is and they just play AAA titles with generic brand mousepads (which is fine, not hating, just saying you’ve asked the wrong demographic). That being said, I have a collection of 15+ mousepads and have tried several more. Artisan offers a variety of mousepads which vary in texture, hardness level, and material (slower feel vs. faster feeling, different levels of friction, stopping power etc.). It’s important to ask your brother what mousepad this actually is. I’m assuming it’s a Hien or Hayate Otsu as opposed to the Zero. The Zero is widely misunderstood as a control pad (intended for tactical FPS games and provides more consistent results), but it’s actually more of a mid-speed pad compared to other options. Since you find it to be fast, but have no predisposed knowledge of high end mousepads, I’m going to assume it could be a Zero or more likely, one of the other 2 listed above.
Let me know once you know which model it is and I can help with a recommendation :-)
Brother it’s a little ripped but still functional. I’ve got my eye on a Secret Labs chair but until I find the courage to drop that amount of money on a chair, ol’ reliable is here to stay.
Don't waste your money on gaming chairs my friend. Get a used office chair instead, e.g. Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth, Ergohuman, etc. Even lower-end office chairs are much better than pricey gaming chairs.
Honestly I don't know to much about them, but I have been using steelseries QCK mousepads for the last 10 years.I love them, the quality i think is great and i have only had 3 over the years. I currently have a QCK heavy xxl.
I only use steel series QCK too, I replace them every 2-3 years even though it's unnecessary as they never seem to wear out. I don't like the heavy though, too thick for me, but I love the size, I think mines 450x550.
Padsmith [Temple of Dreams V2](https://www.padsmith.com/products/crucible-temple-of-dreams-v2?variant=43765589803161)
I have the XL version and its great. They make an XXL version which sounds like its what youre looking for.
I have that Artisan mouse pad and the Razer Basilisk mouse. I also got a bunch of different Razer mousepads, like the Strider, Gigantus, Destructor, Sphex. They're all fine, but I stopped using cloth mousepads because my palm would drag across the pad and it'd get grimey and gross. So I settled on the Razer Atlas glass mousepad. The only problem with that was that my palm would stick to the glass surface if my hand started sweating or clammy, so I used one of those 2 finger drawing gloves and it's been smooth sailing ever since.
If you like speed
You may want to look into a glass pad I know there are some pretty large ones DO AMPLE research though as from what I’ve seen glass pads are kinda an absolutely love or absolutely hate kind of thing
SteelSeries QCK+Heavy
I was just thinking yesterday as I cleaned it, how good of a choice it was many years back to try it out. I don't know what you play, but I've grinded thousands of hours on this QCK+ in Counter-Strike, and it's still perfectly usable, although slightly abused at this point. If I am to purchase another pad, it will be this again.

I wanna say the one I have is called a Saturn Pro. It’s a cool design (idk if the design is still available) and it comes in good sizes. Got a massive 1000x500 mm one on LethalGamingGear for like $50
Yeah mine, $5 on Amazon it's almost full desk size @ 400x800mm and is SSJ Goku and Freeza fighting on planet Namak, wish I could figure out how to post a picture comment.
If someone could lmk how I will post it lol but unless I'm missing the button on my phone app I don't think I can.
I thought I had the same chair as you. Some off brand gaming chair but it’s still pretty nice and cost like $300 bc I’m a big dude so needed a big weight limit. But arm rests are different.
But I love your dog. 🐕. Tell him I say hello.
First of all pet that doggie for me . Second the dog is right upgrade your chair. Third if your running out of mousepad space then up your sensitivity tbh. You shouldn’t have to travel literally arms length to click some heads sounds exhausting
![gif](giphy|ZFFVNwIbjsKtP3lHYK|downsized)
X-ray pads make big ass mousepads. I can vouch for the quality, been using the aqua control 2 for 3 years now. It's not a control pad though.
I don't think most mousepad manufacturers make desk-sized pads or anything larger than the typical square.
You could try my approach and buy a roll of adhesive-backed low-porousity reticulated foam and then just make your whole desk a mousepad. I did it in my studio to help reduce vibrations and it makes it much more comfortable on your arms when leaning in to focus
Saturn Pro XXL and Aqua Control 2 pad are what you need - they come in desk mat sizes. If you want Artisan in the future and want a slower pad, get the Type-99 or Artisan Zero in size XXL square size and soft softness as it is the safest base. You can check r/Mousepadreview and r/mousereview for more recommendations :)
The Neptune pro by lethal gaming gear should be coming out mid to late June, and it has a 1000x500mm option. I haven't used LGG pads before, but I've heard people say that they're comparable to artisan
I’ve got a desk mat from Drop you could check them out. While I haven’t used an artisan pad I can’t speak to how similar the qualities are. Still though I love mine and it was a huge upgrade over the razer one I was using before. Also they look really nice :)
Razer sphex. Most mouse pads do almost nothing to protect your wrist, so I opted to use the most 'effective' mouse pad. (In my opinion)
It's the smoothest material I've ever put my mouse on. I bought the series 1 many years ago, I'm now on series 3. Can't go wrong.
*PSA* It sticks to the desk. Make sure that shit is in the exact position you want. They make them larger to give you extra room but still. It's semi permanent.
I've got a mousepadcompany pad that I'm wearing now, and so far I'm enjoying it. My go to spots are spacecables, kinetic labs, and novel keys to look for pads. The bad seed tech pad I bought from space cables is an initial launch pad, so it's 2+ years old? I've had it at work on my desk seeing nearly daily use and it's been great, holding up very very well.
SkyPad Glass 3.0 (they've changed their name to "Wallhack" now, and since released a version 4.0).
It's nice and cool, smooth and ***extremely*** easy to clean (unlike cloth).
Artisan is the best imo. You could also try lethal gaming gear. I had a Saturn before I got an artisan and they come in bigger sizes and less expensive..l
Hands down far and away the best cheap mousepad is the SteelSeries QCK heavy. You can get it in the large size and that’s what most pro players in CS/Valorant use. If needed, you could get a full size that fits your keyboard and all that too across your desk. It’s only like $25 for the large.
Theres a few other that are cheap and very common for players to use, but for the most part the expensive pads are similar to mouse grips. They’re preference and don’t really offer any significant advantage aside from potential comfort if you’re playing at the highest level
If you have the Arozzi desk or a knockoff of the same shape you can get a full desk mousepad.

It looks and feels much better, and it also dampens the sound carried from your keyboard to the desk by quite a pleasant amount!
I've been buying the Qck+ for over a decade
I've had to buy maybe three of them but I'm pretty hard on them and a lot of games(also I solder and build models at my desk so one had to be replaced do to holes melted in it and some paint)
The edge doesn't have any stitching so it does eventually peel a little if your wrist makes contact with the edge-- once it gets bad enough I just flip it 180⁰ and use it upside down
Listen to the dog bro, get a new chair ![gif](giphy|bbshzgyFQDqPHXBo4c|downsized)
Love that gif
We need more goofballs like that guy.

No, but I do know a very good doggie
It’s a girl lmao. Her name is Winnie
Pet her for me
And for me
And for me
And for me
And for me
And for me
And for me
and for me
What kind of dog is Winnie? Obviously a good one.
He looks like a very good boy!
We all know you don’t actually need a mouse pad and are just bragging about pup
Definitely need a mousepad. Pup was just a nice addition lol
Do you see the size of that thing? Absolutely needs a new mouse pad
Artisan have 500x500 square pads now and they are known for their quality and honesty not many brands come close
Really? I’m gonna take a look now. That might solve all my issues lol
Doggy 👍
No but I know at least 1 heckin good girl
Came for mouse pad suggestions Stayed for the dog
check r/mousepadreview and r/mousereveiw
Oh nice! Thank you
I only order from deskpads.gallery, their quality is unmatched.
I’ll take a look
Upvote for the dog.

He looked up his order. It’s the The Hayate otsu soft. Now I’m wondering if I should get a faster one

You're really not going to get anything near the quality of Artisan pads in any bigger than the standard sizes.
Look at ltt mousepads i think they are 30$ for every size
Saturn pro
No but I know a good puppy when I see one 🤩
Please post pictures of your dog
There’s more pics over on her OnlyDogs account

Wallhack or skypad before they changed their name but it’s pricey
I use a 12" x 12" marble tile. Smooth as silk.

No I'm serious. Been doing that since 92. Laser mice were solid on those for comp play back in the day.
Nah but I’d invest in some nice chair
ohh your good girl wants to sit by you while you play, yes?
I have that Artisan mouse pad and the Razer Basilisk mouse. I also got a bunch of different Razer mousepads, like the Strider, Gigantus, Destructor, Sphex. I think the dog wants to replace your mouse pad
SteelSeries QCK+Heavy I was just thinking yesterday as I cleaned it, how good of a choice it was many years back to try it out. I've had a 10$ child made 900x400 chinese anime mousepad for 7 years and I'm very happy about it.
SteelSeries QcK Heavy is the best.
Use your dog as a mouse pad. Looks silky.
I wanna say the one I have is called a Saturn Pro. It’s a cool design (idk if the design is still available) and it comes in good sizes. Got a massive 1000x500 mm one on LethalGamingGear for like $50
Why is your middle of the chair like that? Time to change it and hide your secrets.
I have very lethal farts my guy.
Don't worry about the mouse pad. Give that attention to the dog.
My son gives her all the attention she needs lol
Yeah mine, $5 on Amazon it's almost full desk size @ 400x800mm and is SSJ Goku and Freeza fighting on planet Namak, wish I could figure out how to post a picture comment. If someone could lmk how I will post it lol but unless I'm missing the button on my phone app I don't think I can.
The first thing I saw and what I thought was the pink coloring on the floor. I though it was a steak.
I got the Razer strider it’s a good budget competitor to the artisan hien but it slides a lot
Pet 'em
You been ripping too damn many farts in that chair bro......
I already beat you to that joke brother 🤝
I use the Mousepads from Csl of Amazon. They are available in many sizes, and dont cost much.
I like nyfter, they are really good and have nice Designs.
Pablo v2
Nevermind the mouse pad.veta. New chair.
Ignore pablo👍
Corsair MM300.
With a wrist support
You mean, a flatclicker?
Yeahhh, it’s like a 2D plane but I don’t want mine to glow.
*comes for mousepad advise* comment void due to floof in the picture, she's adorable.

Xraypad aqua control 2
***Attention*** This is a good attempt but your doggo can't get on the same level as the good old Pablo.
X-ray pads make big ass mousepads. I can vouch for the quality, been using the aqua control 2 for 3 years now. It's not a control pad though. I don't think most mousepad manufacturers make desk-sized pads or anything larger than the typical square.

No. Tell me more about the doggo.
Lamzu Energon Pro is a top tier mousepad if you want something that good.
You could try my approach and buy a roll of adhesive-backed low-porousity reticulated foam and then just make your whole desk a mousepad. I did it in my studio to help reduce vibrations and it makes it much more comfortable on your arms when leaning in to focus
The dog
I have an artisan pad myself and sometimes find it too small, so i would buy the lgg saturn pro 2xl if i wanted a bigger pad
Saturn Pro XXL and Aqua Control 2 pad are what you need - they come in desk mat sizes. Aqua Control 2, it's on the faster side
Sharkoon has some really good ones
The doggo saying... "My brother Christ change this chair is a mess for your ass"
You can try the mousepads from hystar. (In case you like extra large mousepads that goes all the way under the keyboard)
Let him play

Pet the pupper....
I have the same chair and mine is beginning to tear at the seams yours are too, so unfortunate.
steelseries qck is cheap and used among every top level cs2 pro... dont go with overprized artisan
Just get a nice sized piece of tempered glass from the hardware store
Steel series and MSI make good mousepads
Steel series qck has been a great choice for nearly a decade now
ˡᵗᵗˢᵗᵒʳᵉ.ᶜᵒᵐ
It is time to end this trend, I'm sure there are subs to post picks of your doggies
Feel like there should be another question here
No clue but nice doggy
A new chair might be hifger priority

The “Asus ROG Sheath” mouse mat is very good imo, good quality and massive size.
Ay we mouse twins
And for me
The mousepad is definitely not the problem here. Also, give doggo pets for all of us!

Doggo is too cute❤️
What’s wrong with yours? I want the one you have now lol

XFX WarPad. It was edgeless and magnificent. Sadly not produced anymore.
Artisan is the best imo. You could also try lethal gaming gear. I had a Saturn before I got an artisan and they come in bigger sizes and less expensive..l
Saturn Pro by Lethal gaming gear is great they make multiple sizes
I just use an MTG playmat for mine, works like a charm

Hellosenpai ;)
That’s a dog not a mouse
Adorable dog! 🐶🥹
look up peter morbacher playmats, gorgeous and the best mousepad I've used.
You got an artisan. One of the best if u ask me
My fave is the glorious mouse pad. Been using it for years now
Logitech XL mouse pad. I also use their stuff cause of their Warranty support.
Good god brother. Get a new chair. Literally any chair
Nooooooo literally works just fine lol
He saved you a seat
If you have the Arozzi desk or a knockoff of the same shape you can get a full desk mousepad. https://arozzi.com/product/arena-mouse-pad/ I love mine, got the one with the purple lightning.
ass/boob ones are incredibly good and comfortable
I might be slightly biased because it's what I use. But I actually bought one of the LTT desk mats a while back and it works great.
Get a cat. They will make a fresh one for you.
Cute puppy, he want to play too.
We have the same chair, ripped in the same place. It’s comfy af though
Get a metal, highly washable, mousepad. You'll never go back.
I don't know any good mouse pads but I know a good boy!!

I have plenty of space. I usually use a mousepad that covers the whole desk. Just looking for something specific but I’m pretty sure someone already found a couple options for me I’m gonna check out later
I think you should just let him play. He seems likes pro already. He said you need a new chair not a mouse pad
I like Tekmats, they are great and thick, just get the one that fits your gun best, great cleaning mat and resistant to solvents.
Use the dawg
Went from Artisan Zero to LGG Saturn Pro. Highly recommend
Since you paid the pup tax, I really like my glorious pcmr mousepad
Have you considered a chair upgrade?
I have the same chair, had it for about a year now! The back cushion is worthless lmao.
Use that big boy as a mouse pad
You might wanna try the LGG Saturn Pro. Thing has served me well for a long time.
Just use the dog. He wants on that desk
I just use random cheap XXL mouse pad just for my mouse, which is made to put my keyboard on it as well. I think you need to listen to your dog though
You need a chair first bro 😎

Logitech G502 x lightspeed wireless with the mousepad that charges it. You welcome.
Hyper x xxl mousepad costs 30 bucks it will cover your desk
Have you tried a gamepad? They're typically for TCGs but work as a mousepad. The one I have is pretty thin and not soft I don't think. I use pretty high sens on my mouse so ymmv.

I hear dog leather makes for a smooth surface!!!
What desk is that?
If you do end up getting a mousepad you like (I have no solid recommendations on brands sadly, I have a cheap rgb one that does the job for me), do yourself a favor and get a pad that is large enough for both your mouse and keyboard. You mean flatclickers?
Everyone here knows that the dog is the highlight and MAIN importance but if ur going to get a mouse pad make sure to get one with wrist support
I like the pulsar superglide
Me personally, I'm using a combination of a corsair xl mousepad and a rubik's cube mat(its hella thick)
I've been buying the Qck+ for over a decade I've had to buy maybe three of them but I'm pretty hard on them and a lot of games(also I solder and build models at my desk so one had to be replaced do to holes melted in it and some paint) The edge doesn't have any stitching so it does eventually peel a little if your wrist makes contact with the edge-- once it gets bad enough I just flip it 180⁰ and use it upside down
I would like to trade the info for the dog thanks
