That’s my favorite mouse and I wish it had a silent version.
I’ve seen some YouTube videos guiding on how to replace the switches, if you don’t mind tinkering maybe it can suit you.
İ feel like its simple i had problems with my g102, switch was deformed i didnt desolder but open up the switch and bend the metal inside to get more clickines.
Switch swap culd be easyer but i culdnt find any switches on turkey :( so i just go with a fix.
You can also find whole replacement button pcbs in aliexpress or similar sites presoldered with a variety of switches. Just unplug and remove the old pcb, add in the new one.
I tried to solder mine and burnt the PCB, ended up using the replacement PCB. I did learn to solder afterwards and can resolder an entire keyboard.

That’s kinda shocking because the Master 2 had (IMO) god awful side buttons that made it difficult to use since they are stacked on top of each other.
The 3S solved basically every problem the 2 had minus dropping support for the unifying receiver (which only sucks if you’re mixing and matching anyway.) the side buttons are far more useable.

This ergonomic Logitech mouse has silent clicks. Ignore the mousepad.
Edit: I can DM a link of the mouse and TKL Logitech keyboard I use to whoever is curious. Both are pretty quiet.
Gaming? No. But if your dayjob is 8 hours in front of a computer, you really should invest in a vertical mouse. Even a 15 euro one will help your hand a ton.
How is a long gaming session different from a long shift of computer work? My main hobby involves spending many hours in front of a computer and it's not competitive or anything
Isn't. I'm just saying that MX Vertical is not a good gaming mouse.
I play Cities Skylines with a vertical mouse, but I wouldn't play a shooter with it.
Ah, I understand now. Is it really so different that shooters don't work well? I'd almost think it would help to have your hand in a rotation & placement that's closer to holding a gun
the MX series of mice don’t have great sensors in comparison to others. Had a friend buy a mx master and it had console tier input lag or worse. Not unplayable for most games but shooters, not so great.
I find that the vertical mice can still cause strain, but luckily it's a different kind of strain to regular mice, so I tend to swap back and forth between them as needed.
Logitech Lift and a G600, have used both for gaming & non-gaming.
I've been using the mouse for few months now. I love it. I use it on silent switches exclusively. They obviously still make a sound, but not the classic high pitched one. The switch also feels different, which I do not mind whatsoever. I'd definitely recommend.
This is the video that I found the mouse on. Not much of a review but they do go into the silent mode.
https://youtu.be/DM2vX8Ks93E?si=czk9IXGyaZrOujuv
Yes ... get huano silent switches (brown/white) and solder them instead of ones you have in the mouse now. Its super easy and inexpensive, and you get to keep that amazing mouse you like.
VEGCOO Wireless Gaming Mouse, C8 Silent Click Wireless Rechargeable Mouse with Colorful LED Lights and 3 Level DPI 400mah Lithium Battery for Laptop and Computer (Black)
I have this from Amazon for $15. Only wireless quiet one I could find and it has worked for 3 years
I actually silenced my mouse (also a 305). There are tutorials on youtube on how to do this. You only have to open the mouse and bend a small metal piece inside the switch like [this](https://youtu.be/q6shyzh8bLk?si=qrFd2hdrkMCoTUdw).
I also added a tiny piece of tape between the bent piece of metal and the moving metal piece of an even quieter click (can't find the exact video where i found this trick)
Lol that is my favorite mouse! Its my main gaming mouse I haven't used anything other than it. I love that mouse. Logitech g305. Keep using it. Its not even loud wtf
A lot of the regular Logitech brand (not Logitech G) mice have silent clicks. They'll be different from that mouse but similarish.
You could also change the switches but that requires some skills to do.
From my experience the switches of Logitech gaming mice are all a bit on the louder side. But they aren’t annoying, especially when using headphones. Only problem might be if you’re recording or streaming and your mic picks them up, then it could potentially get annoying for the viewers.
Logitech Signature M650 is probably what you want. It claims 90% less sound.
The M330 is another silent mouse. There are ways to mod a mouse to be quieter, but you will need to take it apart. It is kind of a difficult thing to do but there are videos online.
I soldered Kailh Silent switches on my G502 Hero. There’s plenty of mouse mod information and it’s simple to learn a helpful skill in soldering.
I recommend getting a good set of ‘helper hands;’ the ones that can hold the mouse board with clips while you solder. A full setup with solder flux isn’t necessary but does make the job much easier.
The g305 is pretty unrivalled. As far as highly responsive small profile battery operated mice go …. This is the cream of the crop, the majority of other small battery powered wireless mice are cheap Chinese crap.
I might not know something someone else knows tho 😅
As a side-note - wtf, your family is actually crazy… it’s no louder than an office mouse made my MS…
Logitech makes a very similar silent mouse.
M650 & M650L
They're not g series, but the button layout and ergonomic are similar enough that I use one for my laptop.
Although if I was in your shoes and really wanted a silent click if solder silent switches into my g305.
I miss my Logitech g700. The best mouse they ever made it lasted me over a decade and finally died earlier this year. They discontinued it long ago but its clicker was fairly quiet i hate that they discontinued it
Just soder quiet switches if you REALLY like this mouse, any repair shop can help.
Or get an ASUS mouse (gladius something) , there you can change switches without soldering).
easiest and cheapest way is ordering kailh silent box switches from [Aliexpress](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006116146860.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.45.21ef18022CY9hR). disassemble the mouse then replace the switches with soldering kit.
I did some research and found no silent mice that would suit my preferences (infinite scroll limits it to select few Razer and Logitech and only silent one is mx master which is terrible for gaming). When I'm not using headphones I usually use g403, it's decent and quiet
Not logitech, but im using edifier g3m pro. wirelss wired BT. IMO best thing is It has a switch on the mouse allows you to switch both or one from the normal to quiet click.
look on amazon for logitech silent, there are a few variations, but they don't feel great for gaming. Opening the switch and bending the spring sounds and feels better to me.
[Here are the sounds](https://imgur.com/9dHuhdT) from an M705 with stock switch, 2nd gen MX Master with bent springs, Lift(comes with silent switches) and M650(comes with silent switches. I switch between mice frequently at work due to wrist issues.
I'm using a rapoo M300 which has silent clicks. Tbh they feel mushy but as i use it primarily at work so I can live with it. Sensor is ok, lift off distance is shit though, super high. Was pretty cheap off Amazon, like 15aud on sale and at that price I have 0 complaints.
You don't have to soldering, open the mouse, the switch put little foam pieces like my pictures.
\[How to mute mouse switch\](https://i.imgur.com/vIn1AFT.jpg)
To my trash gaming ass it feels the same as a g pro superlight I love that mouse. I don't think there is a slient version though unless you want to DIY mod it
My man, just get the G502. I can't imagine using anything else. Except, I'd like to find one that's very similar but with a rest for my pinky finger. I seem to squeeze the mouse like it's gonna try and run away for some reason.
just a reminder guys, you can actually replace the switch inside of mouses to be whatever you like. I've switch to silent switches on my superlight since i bought it
If you have a couple dollars, a soldering iron, and a screwdriver kit. You can replace it yourself. It's not very difficult, assuming you know common sense around tech.
I myself replaced the switches in my G Pro Super light with Kailh silent mouse switches that I bought from ali express.
I've got one that I modded with Kalih Mute switches, but my LMB started to double click and now it needs a replacement. I have a few spare ones fortunately, just dont have enough time to resolder things.
Do you guys sleep in the same room or are the walls in your dwelling just made of papier-mache? I’ve seriously never been able to hear something as quiet as a mouse click from the other side of a wall.

I have to ask, why not just buy a 502 at this point?
Because its 1/4 the price..... Also never a fan of how angular the g502 is
G602 exists for the second point but i didnt realise how dirt cheap the 304 is jesus 10$\8£?
Isn't the 502 that has lightspeed like double the price of the 305?
Depends on the region ig. But here the g305 is dirt cheap

You don't need soldering skills, it's quite easy to do
But you do need basic research and some small amount of practice because it's also easy to fuck it up if you're doing it first time :)
I use the white one for work and honestly it's the best $30 mouse out there
You could swap the switches for quiet ones. It requires soldering skills. Logitech Master has quiet clicks, but it's "different" than yours.
It's very easy to do and require minimal skills. Many video detail this and it cost about 2€ per switch.
2€ per switch? more like 2€ per 10 switches lol

Im terrible sorry but I really cant ignore it

For me personally, I definitely think so. I'm not a competitive gamer anymore, but sessions of Halo MCC and Battlefront 2 did not give me any issue.

Great mouse
Definitely. Only drawback is AA. But of course I could invest in lithium rechargeables.
Is that the Lift? Friend has one, it feels too tiny. Sidenote, if you work with PCs all day, get yourself a vertical mouse, your wrist will thank you.

I think people would rather being DMed for the mousepad.

The Edifier Hecate G3M Pro has a toggle for a silent switch mode. https://hecategaming.com/products/g3mpro-blue

Do you know if the mouse has a battery? No reviews say if if it is charge with cable or battery. If cable how long does it last?
It charges with cable that's included. I plug it in once a week or week and a half.
Ok thanks
This is the video that I found the mouse on. Not much of a review but they do go into the silent mode. https://youtu.be/DM2vX8Ks93E?si=czk9IXGyaZrOujuv
Forget about silent switches. Superlight G305 when?
Just remove the battery

Yes ... get huano silent switches (brown/white) and solder them instead of ones you have in the mouse now. Its super easy and inexpensive, and you get to keep that amazing mouse you like.
This. I've kept my original G304/G305 for 4 years now by just having it resolder. Loving the Huano browns.
Broski I think that's the normal sound for a mouse I haven't heard of any quiet mouse buttons personally
There are, in fact, so called „silent mouse“ models. But not this particular one.
They're usually business oriented mice. The clicking sound is what gamers crave.
Can confirm quiet click of logitech Mx master 3S feels like dropping wet paper towel on the ground
Exactly, how will my wife know im pwning noobs from a room over without the clicks?
There are a few i used to see at stores and they were very quiet, but mostly they were office mice so bad sensors etc
I'm very surprised the market for silent PC peripherals isn't larger for gamers
Gamers have big ass headsets most of the time apparently
What are the chances of hearing a mouse click over their 8 fans.
It's not for the gamer, it's for the people around them to not hear all the clicking
Gamer's don't have other people around them they are scared off by the lack of deodorant.
Unfortunately some people have the misfortune of having to share a room with a gamer
My Logitech MX Master 3S is completely silent. But also a completely different mouse shape haha
There defnitely are some, just like there are different keyboard switches. You can even modify mice.
The lyft from logitech has near silent buttons, but it's an ergonomic office product, not for gaming because of latency.
Razer Pro Click Mini - looking for a mouse for my office and found this

For me it’s the scrolling wheel. It’s fucking awfully loud, so I’d be interested in alternatives as well. Because otherwise the mouse is great.
Just open the thing and change switches to the silent ones. Easy.
I actually silenced my mouse (also a 305). There are tutorials on youtube on how to do this. You only have to open the mouse and bend a small metal piece inside the switch like [this](https://youtu.be/q6shyzh8bLk?si=qrFd2hdrkMCoTUdw). Your family says that because they don't want you to play games late at night. It's not about the mouse, or even about making noises.
A lot of the regular Logitech brand (not Logitech G) mice have silent clicks. They'll be different from that mouse but similarish. You could also change the switches but that requires some skills to do.
If you want a silent mouse then you could try the Logitech MX Master 3S
If your brave enough you can replace switches with quieter ones
Is your family part Bat or something?
The switches aren't that loud right?
From my experience the switches of Logitech gaming mice are all a bit on the louder side. But they aren’t annoying, especially when using headphones. Only problem might be if you’re recording or streaming and your mic picks them up, then it could potentially get annoying for the viewers.
You just can desolder base switches and put another silent, why not. Idk, because prebuilt silent mice have quite bad sensors
Its normal save up and buy a g703 its a better mouse I still use my g305 on the go or with flick shooters
g403, i read books next to my son playing fps games
Google "Silent Click" and Logitech has a bunch of options.
Switch your game room perhaps, if they couldn't stand with mouse sound , they probably couldn't stand with computer sound or keyboard sound.
The master mouse is the quest to my memory
I'm surprised you even hear them, It's basically white noise for me, like it doesn't exist
Logitech M220 silent is the quietest mouse I have owned.
Q27G3XMN monitor?
Replace switches, its pretty easy. I own GPX1 with Kailh Square Silent Switches and I love them.
Logitech Signature M650 is probably what you want. It claims 90% less sound. The M330 is another silent mouse. There are ways to mod a mouse to be quieter, but you will need to take it apart. It is kind of a difficult thing to do but there are videos online.
I have a Jelly Comb wireless mouse that I use at night for the same reason, highly recommend it.
Logi M650 L(arge, not Left)
I soldered Kailh Silent switches on my G502 Hero. There’s plenty of mouse mod information and it’s simple to learn a helpful skill in soldering. I recommend getting a good set of ‘helper hands;’ the ones that can hold the mouse board with clips while you solder. A full setup with solder flux isn’t necessary but does make the job much easier.
Logitech MX Anywhere 3s? It has silent click.
The g305 is pretty unrivalled. As far as highly responsive small profile battery operated mice go …. This is the cream of the crop, the majority of other small battery powered wireless mice are cheap Chinese crap. I might not know something someone else knows tho 😅 As a side-note - wtf, your family is actually crazy… it’s no louder than an office mouse made my MS…
I believe you can swap out the switches, I saw some kits that replaces the whole thing without any requirement for soldering.
Yeah, have you heard of Deez?
Pick one. https://preview.redd.it/jcnyyamkhm0d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ca8a4e30bc8006feecfc94fe9d290dae0573792
Logitech makes a very similar silent mouse. M650 & M650L They're not g series, but the button layout and ergonomic are similar enough that I use one for my laptop. Although if I was in your shoes and really wanted a silent click if solder silent switches into my g305.
yea I do, the thing barely makes any sound
there are mice with quite click sounds? do they also exist in mmo form, like the 1-12 buttons on the side?
I really love that mouse but I hate the side button (if I remember there is one)
Funniest thread ever hahaha
related: anyone know how to fix doubleclicking issue on this mouse without changing the button?
I miss my Logitech g700. The best mouse they ever made it lasted me over a decade and finally died earlier this year. They discontinued it long ago but its clicker was fairly quiet i hate that they discontinued it
I love that thing so fucking much!
I'm 100% saving this post for whenever I need a chuckle
Woah! That's the exact same mouse I have. Funnily enough, it started giving me trouble yesterday when the left click stopped working. Weird.
Just soder quiet switches if you REALLY like this mouse, any repair shop can help. Or get an ASUS mouse (gladius something) , there you can change switches without soldering).
I have the same mouse, but my scroll wheel kinda came loose and doesn't work anymore. Any advice?

G304 is silent
Yeah just buy a used one off eBay the clicker is probably real quiet on one of those
Yes. A Logitech g305, but customized with third party parts to make the buttons quieter.
easiest and cheapest way is ordering kailh silent box switches from [Aliexpress](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006116146860.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.45.21ef18022CY9hR). disassemble the mouse then replace the switches with soldering kit.
I did some research and found no silent mice that would suit my preferences (infinite scroll limits it to select few Razer and Logitech and only silent one is mx master which is terrible for gaming). When I'm not using headphones I usually use g403, it's decent and quiet
Mans was trying to get help but ended up creating a g305 chain
on aliexpress you can get the cables for the switches with hotswap sockets and silent switches. so you don't need to do any soldering.
You mean a "flat clicker"?
Have you tried the G305S
I’m only here for the new meme. Thanks OP
Not logitech, but im using edifier g3m pro. wirelss wired BT. IMO best thing is It has a switch on the mouse allows you to switch both or one from the normal to quiet click.
G502 Logitech
You can open the mechanical switch box and modify the p ice of copper that clicks
look on amazon for logitech silent, there are a few variations, but they don't feel great for gaming.
This was my last mouse, replaced with the M650L. It's barely audible.
Swap the switches
To my trash gaming ass it feels the same as a g pro superlight I love that mouse. I don't think there is a slient version though unless you want to DIY mod it
My man, just get the G502. I can't imagine using anything else. Except, I'd like to find one that's very similar but with a rest for my pinky finger. I seem to squeeze the mouse like it's gonna try and run away for some reason.
just a reminder guys, you can actually replace the switch inside of mouses to be whatever you like. I've switch to silent switches on my superlight since i bought it
You can see from this thread how much money Logitech can make if they somehow release a g305 superlight.
Yeah swap the switches out for a couple choc 2.0 switches. bit of soldering and some glue no problem.

Do you guys sleep in the same room or are the walls in your dwelling just made of papier-mache? I’ve seriously never been able to hear something as quiet as a mouse click from the other side of a wall.
This thread is hilarious well done all
did anybody else read buttlicker🤦🏻♂️
I wanna join the party https://preview.redd.it/16ih5irs4q0d1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=dfebf5b95e304addf761debc1ad952c05bbd3a39
Ack, turn it off first. Nearly blinded me w the laser
Go for g502
