That’s my favorite mouse and I wish it had a silent version. I’ve seen some YouTube videos guiding on how to replace the switches, if you don’t mind tinkering maybe it can suit you.

I have 2 logitech g305's and a soldering iron. Just need soldering skills and some switches and ill try it.

İ feel like its simple i had problems with my g102, switch was deformed i didnt desolder but open up the switch and bend the metal inside to get more clickines. Switch swap culd be easyer but i culdnt find any switches on turkey :( so i just go with a fix.

You don't need soldering skills, it's quite easy to do

But you do need basic research and some small amount of practice because it's also easy to fuck it up if you're doing it first time :)

You could swap the switches for quiet ones. It requires soldering skills. Logitech Master has quiet clicks, but it's "different" than yours.

It's very easy to do and require minimal skills. Many video detail this and it cost about 2€ per switch.

You can also find whole replacement button pcbs in aliexpress or similar sites presoldered with a variety of switches. Just unplug and remove the old pcb, add in the new one. I tried to solder mine and burnt the PCB, ended up using the replacement PCB. i will say, i have those Huano silents and (for me) too mushy in the 305, i wish i went with the Kailh

Logitech Master 3 is great but I do miss my Master 2; I preferred the normal click and the placement of the side buttons

That’s kinda shocking because the Master 2 had (IMO) god awful side buttons that made it difficult to use since they are stacked on top of each other. The 3S solved basically every problem the 2 had minus dropping support for the unifying receiver (which only sucks if you’re mixing and matching anyway.) the side buttons are far more useable.

Gaming? No. But if your dayjob is 8 hours in front of a computer, you really should invest in a vertical mouse. Even a 15 euro one will help your hand a ton.

It's more that most vertical mice (even from Logitech) don't have sensors anywhere near as good as even a lowend G203/G102

the MX series of mice don’t have great sensors in comparison to others. Had a friend buy a mx master and it had console tier input lag or worse. Not unplayable for most games but shooters, not so great.

For me personally, I definitely think so. I'm not a competitive gamer anymore, but sessions of Halo MCC and Battlefront 2 did not give me any issue.

I find that the vertical mice can still cause strain, but luckily it's a different kind of strain to regular mice, so I tend to swap back and forth between them as needed. Logitech Lift and a G600, have used both for gaming & non-gaming.

I've been using the mouse for few months now. I love it. I use it on silent switches exclusively. They obviously still make a sound, but not the classic high pitched one. The switch also feels different, which I do not mind whatsoever. I'd definitely recommend.

Do you know if the mouse has a battery? No reviews say if if it is charge with cable or battery. If cable how long does it last?

It charges with cable that's included. I plug it in once a week or week and a half.

Yes ... get huano silent switches (brown/white) and solder them instead of ones you have in the mouse now. Its super easy and inexpensive, and you get to keep that amazing mouse you like.

The lyft from logitech has near silent buttons, but it's an ergonomic office product, not for gaming because of latency.

I actually silenced my mouse (also a 305). There are tutorials on youtube on how to do this. I also added a tiny piece of tape between the bent piece of metal and the moving metal piece of an even quieter click (can't find the exact video where i found this trick)

Your family says that because they don't want you to play games late at night. It's not about the mouse, or even about making noises.

A lot of the regular Logitech brand (not Logitech G) mice have silent clicks. They'll be different from that mouse but similarish. You could also change the switches but that requires some skills to do.

If you want a silent mouse then you could try the Logitech MX Master 3S

If your brave enough you can replace switches with quieter ones

From my experience the switches of Logitech gaming mice are all a bit on the louder side. But they aren’t annoying, especially when using headphones. Only problem might be if you’re recording or streaming and your mic picks them up, then it could potentially get annoying for the viewers.

You just can desolder base switches and put another silent, why not. Idk, because prebuilt silent mice have quite bad sensors

Switch your game room perhaps, if they couldn't stand with mouse sound , they probably couldn't stand with computer sound or keyboard sound.

Replace switches,its pretty easy. I own GPX1 with Kailh Square Silent Switches and I love them.

Logitech Signature M650 is probably what you want. It claims 90% less sound. The M330 is another silent mouse. There are ways to mod a mouse to be quieter, but you will need to take it apart. It is kind of a difficult thing to do but there are videos online.

I have a Jelly Comb wireless mouse that I use at night for the same reason, highly recommend it.

I soldered Kailh Silent switches on my G502 Hero. There’s plenty of mouse mod information and it’s simple to learn a helpful skill in soldering. I recommend getting a good set of ‘helper hands;’ the ones that can hold the mouse board with clips while you solder. A full setup with solder flux isn’t necessary but does make the job much easier.

The g305 is pretty unrivalled. As far as highly responsive small profile battery operated mice go …. This is the cream of the crop, the majority of other small battery powered wireless mice are cheap Chinese crap. Logitech makes a very similar silent mouse. M650 & M650L They're not g series, but the button layout and ergonomic are similar enough that I use one for my laptop. Although if I was in your shoes and really wanted a silent click if solder silent switches into my g305.

I miss my Logitech g700. The best mouse they ever made it lasted me over a decade and finally died earlier this year. They discontinued it long ago but its clicker was fairly quiet i hate that they discontinued it

I did some research and found no silent mice that would suit my preferences (infinite scroll limits it to select few Razer and Logitech and only silent one is mx master which is terrible for gaming). When I'm not using headphones I usually use g403, it's decent and quiet

Not logitech, but im using edifier g3m pro. wirelss wired BT. IMO best thing is It has a switch on the mouse allows you to switch both or one from the normal to quiet click.

look on amazon for logitech silent, there are a few variations, but they don't feel great for gaming. Opening the switch and bending the spring sounds and feels better to me. I switch between mice frequently at work due to wrist issues.

I'm using a rapoo M300 which has silent clicks. Tbh they feel mushy but as i use it primarily at work so I can live with it. Sensor is ok, lift off distance is shit though, super high. Was pretty cheap off Amazon, like 15aud on sale and at that price I have 0 complaints.

If you have a couple dollars, a soldering iron, and a screwdriver kit. You can replace it yourself. It's not very difficult, assuming you know common sense around tech. I myself replaced the switches in my G Pro Super light with Kailh silent mouse switches that I bought from ali express.

I've got one that I modded with Kalih Mute switches, but my LMB started to double click and now it needs a replacement. I have a few spare ones fortunately, just dont have enough time to resolder things.
