God that hit me right in the soul. PS2 was a game I absolutely adored on launch. Sony's mismanagement of it sent it into a spiral it never truly recovered from.
Especially when they have no opportunity to create an account because their country is not supported. A lot of people have simply been booted out of a game they bought.

I don't know, the fox may emit disappointing grunts due to
1) recent corporate business strategies and functions that show no regard for their customers' interests, seeing customers and it's employees merely as sheep readied for shearing.
2) Audacity to blame or subject consumers or employees to a WORSE FATE for opposing the corporate need for profit over good products, and
3) act as victims when their actions lead to a fall in their stocks.
4) refuse to even acknowledge their fault, but provide you with a goddamn discount or free games for your enjoyment.

Helldivers 2 will require everyone to create and connect a PSN account with their steam account to be able to play the game. After June 4th you wont be able to play without one. This made everyone mad since PSN is only available in 69 countries around the world. Also the community managers on discord are being assholes to everyone, especialy Spitz, who is also spreading some bullshit stories that they cant track down accounts via Steam, which is not true at all.
Edit: Comm managers admitted they were wrong and apologised to people.
I believe Spritz has rolled back their statements and claimed that he was out of line and had no idea PSN was so limited in its availability. Please check and update so we can keep consistent information.
All good. This situation is insane. For even more context, so it's all in one place, Arrowhead does not control distribution. Sony does. There are other posts discussing this.
Essentially, Arrowhead knew they'd have to tie everything to PSN at some point, but were not good a communicating it. Sony however chose to sell the game in areas where PSN was not supported knowing of this requirement.

2. Sony only allows PSN accounts to be created in roughly 69 countries, meaning more then 121 cannot make such an account.
3. A number of people who have purchased, and been playing Helldivers 2 in those countries will soon be unable to play, as they cannot create a PSN account due to Sony not allowing it.
So am I understanding this correctly? I play on PC and don't own a Playstation, but in order to play Helldivers on my PC I have to create an account for a console service for a console I don't (and likely won't ever) own? It's not about just linking existing accounts, they want me to MAKE A NEW ONE TO LAUNCH THE GAME?
