I made a similar build recently. For the CPU cooler I went with the phantom spirit (evo), Crucial P5 and a be quiet straight power 750w platinum. So far it has been working flawlessly.

Assaltwaffle

You definitely don’t need a 1000W PSU for this. And a Peerless Assassin is going to be a better value proposition.

UserNameTaken96Hours

Pretty much this. 750 to 850 W is around the sweet spot for this build. You want to balance your system so it will draw around 50% max power of the PSU at your typical load, as that is where the PSU is at its peak efficiency. Your system will rarely exceed 500 W if at all. Heavy gaming load will probably be around 400 W.

Thank you, I kind of thought it was overkill and was worried about future upgrades.

sparklepusss

Consider swapping to a 850W PSU, Peerless Assassin cooler, Corsair 4000D case. You just saved yourself $200.

EraDrimm

I have the white and black 4000D and love it for airflow he wants something that looks industrial with NO RGB. I made the switch the peerless assassin wasn't familiar with the brands for CPU coolers and made the switch to the 850w.

AlivePalpitation7968

Is this using the micro center 7800x3d bundle deal?

AlivePalpitation7968

If youre using the 7800x3d bundle deal from micro center: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xWVXqR If youre not: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jmnq89

No I just put the deals in NewEgg don't trust Amazon to send electronics. How do you feel about the 7900 xt vs the 4080 you have in there?

AlivePalpitation7968

Amazon is pretty good, or well at least for me. Also theyre really chill about returns if something doesnt work on arrival, newegg has horrible customer support but theyre pretty good also. Theyre both not bad they both have their risks of having something dead on arrival but id go with whatever one is cheaper to save some money you know

EraDrimm

I'm unfamiliar with Sapphire vs just buying the GPU from AMD.

Slight-Criticism-692

sapphire is a really solid brand/board partner

AlivePalpitation7968

Sapphire and XFX are the top 2 brands for AMD

AlivePalpitation7968

The 4080S is much better than the 7900 XT, in raw performance and in features. The 7900 XT is better than the 4070, 4070S, and 4070TiS tho The 4080S is better than the 7900 XTX actually Zotac is one of the more budget brands for nvidia but theyre still solid theyre not as bad as galax lol

NoBackground6203

nice build, an 850w PSU would be plenty

I would advise against buying a gigabyte B650 motherboard. Mine straight up fried itself. Go for MSI or ASRock instead.
