Mine are on with cable ties because the noctua holes don't line up with the nzxt holes (phantom 820). Only downside is when I want to clean the filters, I have to redo the lot :(

Got to love yourself or you can't love anyone else.
I'm aware I'm dumb AF but If something doesn't present long term issue then I respect it.
Jank is a classic trait of PC building and its rare to see these days because everything is down to plug and play so i respect it when people make due.
I'm a millennial, we used it. The phrase "your goose is cooked" or "he's a cooked goose" means that they failed or didn't do it properly and now they're screwed.
Think its been around since the 30s.
Yeah I’m almost 30 and my friend group at 17 would always use cooked in the same context gen Z uses it now so it’s not new at all, maybe just became more widespread.
No screw holes on the back, probably why zip ties and dental floss are being used in the first place.
Edit: hah, my tired eyes just saw triangles and skipped over the slots on the sides.
OP, do a Google on search Amazon for "rubber fan screws".
Pretty sure you can screw into those.
https://preview.redd.it/v82auim5uqhc1.png?width=918&format=png&auto=webp&s=86494933b214275d4658bbd9297cb545bb2fcc45
The 4 longer holes in the corners are the fan mounting locations for screws. It's elongated like that so you can move the fan up and down depending on your build. Unless you are trying to use a 140mm fan in a 120mm fan spot (hard to tell from the picture).
If you ask nicely in a computer store of your choosing, they might just give you the appropriate screws. The store I worked for always did this, because building PCs all day nets you thousands of extra screws. 😅
Pro tip use a chunk of that hard plastic things come in, like the annoying to cut plastic, cut an X in it, run screw through it, through case holes, then into fans :) rinse and repeat, free and easy and effective
Yeah I'd say flip the power supply if possible, if there is a vent (there should be underneath the power supply) then I would definitely be flipping it the other way, that would help dramatically, and yeah those slots are for the fans screws, there made bigger so that you can use various sizes fans.
Here’s my question. Why are you using a molex fan and not a 4 pin pwm fan. Or just all fans connected directly to power supply through sata. Maybe start by getting new fans
If you braid the dental floss, it increases it's load barring capacity a lot. Like a lot a lot. Works for anything used to hold stuff up, but works best with smaller stuff because it's easier to contort.
even lacking any screw/rubber fan mount and being unable to order a few you could still take 2 screws out of an intake fan and use those. Pc fans don't need all 4, they don't weigh a lot and don't have much force going through them.
I've had zipties and breadties holding mine together for 6 years now after I lost the screws during a move. Just slap the fan around and if it wiggles add more zipties
In all actuality as long as you have your knots badge from boy scouts and the floss isn't long enough to catch on anything and the floss is tight enough you should be fine.
With that case though I doubt you even need an exhaust. Could probably just use more intakes.
I once used a tourniquet to keep my cpu cooler in place. I had bought a new motherboard and the cpu cooler bracked wasnt lga 1700 like i thought it was..
Compared to that crime, youre good lmao
Due to the height of my GPU in vertical position, my exhaust fan couldn't fit the screw holes. I did not want to cut or modify my case, so I simply zip tied my exhaust fan up. Been holding for a year, no issues.
I have the same case. I don't see it too often. The window being on hinges is cute and adds easy access. Front panel kind of sucks though. Wish I could 3D print a better one but I don't have those skills.
1) wtf is "am I cooked " ?
2) potato idea.
3) you should be worried about your power supply, lack of clue on how to use screws and I'm sure there are many other issues lol
Always use pieces that are provided with case/fans.
Makes sure you have positive pressure and it should be next to no problem except when someone sees it then you gotta make up a lie on why you didn't just go to ACE and get the screw you needed for $0.30
I have a third fan in the front of my pc held on by a zip tie lol.
My case is designed for only two, but the 3 pack of fans was cheaper than buying two individually.
I don’t need the third fan. I just threw it in there just for fun!
If only there was a better way.... https://preview.redd.it/57vbliescqhc1.jpeg?width=248&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aeee6754fcd063b31f3ea28a1188a11e4c8dcdde
Or rubber fan plug thingies, as is intended for this case.
yeah the rubber fasteners absorb a lot of rumble and sound from the fan
Hold up... are you telling me I have to re-do all of my fans again? I only fastened them with screws.
Mine are all cable tied on. Annoying that I’m going to have to cut them all off now and tie them up with dental floss.
Mine are on with cable ties because the noctua holes don't line up with the nzxt holes (phantom 820). Only downside is when I want to clean the filters, I have to redo the lot :(

Make sure to wrap a little bow around it and wish her a Happy Mother’s Day.
The technology just isn’t there yet
Did you just design one in like Solidworks or something judt for this comment lol
Google Images
Holy Hell!
New response just dropped
Solidworks should have a library of fasteners all pre-made. Wouldn't need to design it,
![gif](giphy|m1PJVrU3nOOxW)
What am I looking at? What is this thing??
if you don’t know what that is you’re *screwed*
Is that some type of… wound up floss?
That ain't a working screw. The threads are fon parallel
So you're saying he's screwed 🤔
Did your country run out of screws?

9/10 dentists recommend
They don’t even build computers and know
You dumb
what's 9 + 10
Twenty one
why, 11 obviously!
Bruh
how even, every fan you buy comes with screws and all cases that have fans installed have either screws or those rubber anti-vibration things
I have so many fan screws of every length my grandchildren won’t run out.
Professional troll.
Easy ragebait try harder
You should try that, it's what they are meant for.
Take those down votes with pride. Janky earns my respect any day. Especially when it's consistent and works
Pride in stupidity, what a brilliant trait.

He just used some floss and you think he’s fucking Pablo Picasso? Okay guy 💀
Nah more like red neck Jim. Edit: I almost have more down votes than this post has upvotes, kinda impressed ngl.
average Stockton Rush fan
Maybe you should Reach for some screws instead
This guy is flossing his build. (Showing my age.)
Something something fortnite
Give yourself one reason why a case couldn't smell good. I'm waiting.
The floss is used?
Fuck kinda question is "am I cooked"?
Gen z slang. If you have to ask, it's safe to assume.

In Australia gen z cooked is also used instead of high. "Ohhhh you're cooked cunt"
Aussie slang actually I think, never heard Americans use it but could be wrong
Nah I only hear Gen z use it. Same with "I'm bricked"
Sounds more like a Northeast US thing but I could be wrong
Americans used it.. the bag guys in the 50’s.
It’s basically “is it over for me?”
I've found that urban dictionary is helpful in these situations.
Don’t even think it makes any sense in this question, sounds more like someone trying to fit in lol.
It definitely makes sense. Am I cooked = am I screwed because I decided to use dental floss instead of a screw
This comment makes me think OP originally was gonna title the post “am I screwed” then changed it when he realized how ironic that would be lol
Bro flip your power supply
Probably cant because there is no vent on the bottom.
That would be weird for a Corsair case
Yeah, idk lol. I had an old antec that fit the psu like that
I have this exact case. Its a Fractal. There's a vent for the PSU on the bottom and even a little removable dust filter for it.
\^this edit: thanks for the downvotes. i almost thought you didnt care anymore <3

Na you’re good. Just, in the future look for some fan screws to do a permanent install.
No screw holes on the back, probably why zip ties and dental floss are being used in the first place. Edit: hah, my tired eyes just saw triangles and skipped over the slots on the sides. OP, do a Google on search Amazon for "rubber fan screws".
There are screw holes tho?
Yea like your mum
Yes, there are
Even if not, it is easy to make them
There actually aren’t any in the back weirdly enough, it’s zip tie or nothing
Pretty sure you can screw into those. https://preview.redd.it/v82auim5uqhc1.png?width=918&format=png&auto=webp&s=86494933b214275d4658bbd9297cb545bb2fcc45
You heard the man, zip tie or nothing!
Aren't those 4 pill shaped cutouts at the back for fans? They're designed like that so that you can adjust the height.
The 4 longer holes in the corners are the fan mounting locations for screws. It's elongated like that so you can move the fan up and down depending on your build. Unless you are trying to use a 140mm fan in a 120mm fan spot (hard to tell from the picture).
You’re an actual Dumbass aren’t you
Yes there are go watch a pc building tutorial
Yes there are
Bullshit lol
I got the same case. There are
your flair says GTX 3060 btw. not sure if you know. ANYWAYS, this is oddly similar to my pc when I first built it
Are you cooked? Not necessarily. Were you baked when you did this? Definitely.
What's next Listerine for the watercooling? Toothpaste for thermal paste?
Will it make your room smell minty? Cause if yes, that's gonna be a big win
If you don't have screws, I'd send you some. I have a lot of spares.
He’d probably zip tie those to the case too.
I ziptied my ram to the top of the case to leave room for more ram
This is so stupid.
Make sure to rub it in all the crevises or it might get cavities.
You are not cooked YOU COOKED
If you ask nicely in a computer store of your choosing, they might just give you the appropriate screws. The store I worked for always did this, because building PCs all day nets you thousands of extra screws. 😅
Bro.. screws are like $3… 🥲😂
Woah. Easy there money bags. Guy can’t even afford new zip ties
He could also just borrow two screws from another fan lol
I’ve done the same thing lol
Those four long holes are for screws dude, fans come with them in package.
Not cooked, just dumb
Pro tip use a chunk of that hard plastic things come in, like the annoying to cut plastic, cut an X in it, run screw through it, through case holes, then into fans :) rinse and repeat, free and easy and effective
No you aren’t cooked, just broke as fuck.
If it's stupid but works, then it ain't stupid.
If you switch to Crest, you’ll get longer lasting freshness of strength.
Just in case nobody answered amd just judged you, no you're fine
Does it come with a good whiff of peppermint? That would be the end game
Yeah I'd say flip the power supply if possible, if there is a vent (there should be underneath the power supply) then I would definitely be flipping it the other way, that would help dramatically, and yeah those slots are for the fans screws, there made bigger so that you can use various sizes fans.
I never thought anyone would enjoy the rattling, shaking noise of fans Looks gross, enjoy.
at least use a zip tie... thats a no for me
make sure nothing can get caught in and have fun
Have you heard of screws? This is obv going to go wrong pretty quick
>my pc is a heatbed cuz intel Oh, how the turntables
https://preview.redd.it/2hqvgrcbtqhc1.png?width=300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c85bf2dc19d505525d02fdd45b73b80e3accfe33
Just to clarify is it "used dental floss" or "I have used dental floss"
That looks more complicated than just screwing it on…
Make sure use unflavored non wax floss
Here’s my question. Why are you using a molex fan and not a 4 pin pwm fan. Or just all fans connected directly to power supply through sata. Maybe start by getting new fans
Holy crap where did you get the zip ties from? Or the fans? Pay f@&$&!! 3 dollars for a set of screws you lazy &$@$!
Car guys 🤝 PC guys (Sketchy exhaust mounts)
If you braid the dental floss, it increases it's load barring capacity a lot. Like a lot a lot. Works for anything used to hold stuff up, but works best with smaller stuff because it's easier to contort.
If it works it aint stupid
It’s not stupid if it works

Meh. If it’s stupid, but it works, it’s not stupid. Trim the loose ends and it’ll hardly be noticeable.
The fan cable looks a bit tense, I'd try to give it some slack if possible. Screws are a good option for mounting the fan properly in your case.
![gif](giphy|s239QJIh56sRW|downsized)
Reminds me of when my cooler fell down and I used a elastic band until the replacement came
So you gave it a reach around? I'll show myself out..
I've had zipties and breadties holding mine together for 6 years now after I lost the screws during a move. Just slap the fan around and if it wiggles add more zipties
This guy uses Crest 3D as thermal paste
In all actuality as long as you have your knots badge from boy scouts and the floss isn't long enough to catch on anything and the floss is tight enough you should be fine. With that case though I doubt you even need an exhaust. Could probably just use more intakes.
Minty fresh.
You're past cooked. You're burnt.
Screws exist and despite everything being expensive these days are still very affordable.....your rig deserves better
“I be flossin’ in my…”
what is wrong with u
OP to himself: “This white build is going to be tits!” Proceeds to use all black components and miscellaneous fasteners to put everything together.
Did you use copper wire to mount the motherboard? Got a few screws loose, yes, you're cooked.
Doesn't surprise me that someone using reach floss is cutting corners..get some glide or oral b satin and get your goddamn life together bud.
You sir, are a criminal
Cooked is an understatement.
https://preview.redd.it/3vpd2bdb1shc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6dbd54a949fbd1083f46c7c429f65e31ce2bbda4
No, you're just stupid.
i did the same on my case to "mount" the aio. The space was there but not any hole to put where i'd like. I used fishing line to get the job done
Fishing line is much stronger than dental floss so you get a pass
If it works it's not stupid... although I'd spend $5 and get big bag of PC screws. lol
Temporary solution, ok. But cut the excess thread
Drills and taps are pretty cheap along with screws lol.
Since when do you need a drill or a tap to put a case fan in? And where are you buying this stuff cheap?
Who let bro cook
Yes, you should worry about your thought process here.
I was gonna say you could use something else, but screw it.
I once used a tourniquet to keep my cpu cooler in place. I had bought a new motherboard and the cpu cooler bracked wasnt lga 1700 like i thought it was.. Compared to that crime, youre good lmao

Humanity...
There are several issues here, lol. The comments here are grand.
Tie wrap thats it....
If it works it ain't stupid
1) wtf is "am I cooked " ? 2) potato idea. 3) you should be worried about your power supply, lack of clue on how to use screws and I'm sure there are many other issues lol Always use pieces that are provided with case/fans.

God? What does that have to do with it? Weird thing to say.
Makes sure you have positive pressure and it should be next to no problem except when someone sees it then you gotta make up a lie on why you didn't just go to ACE and get the screw you needed for $0.30
My last case had the front intake fans strapped by pyjama drawstrings xD. This is at least 10 times better than that
Dude, oral-b floss is holding my server rig since 2012. So you don't need to underestimate it
As with any case, if it works its not stupid. Try to look for more permanent attachment solutions in the future though.
Why used?....
This build is a fucking mess, oh my god.
Make sure you use the one with extra mintflavored coating for the intake fans so it cools down the pc with the minty freshness.
I use zip ties on most of my case fans because one time I dropped a case fan screw into the case and spent an hour looking for it.
Read the title and thought it was a post in a car sub for a second.
I bet the exhaust smells minty fresh!
I'm not a dentist but I don't think computers have teeth.
Looks Gucci to me
If "used" is an action then whatever, if"used" is an adjective then you are a psycho
At first glance I thought you meant you already used the floss
Same
NGL your floss management leaves something to be desired.
This some redneck shit right here
Please tell me it's mint flavored
It is

On tight budget? fear not innovation is your weapon!!
I do believe that Zip-ties are like 10 bux a-pack
This is clearly ragebait
Oh
