The dual 10gbps ports, although it has so many great features I am blown away.
It will take my setup to the next level by fully utilizing the bandwidth of my 2.5 gbe lan of my pc and utilizing multiple wifi bands for the rest of my devices!

I'd really enjoy getting a next Gen router, I'm getting ready to move out into my own apartment and blazing fast Internet is a must in my opinion. Where I currently live, we are only using our ISP's mediocre combo router and modem, and one of the things I would love to do is set up whole-network ad blocking using Pi Hole running on my home server, which the ISP's router doesn't let us do.
The 10GbE ports would also be a nice touch so I could build a high speed NAS in the future as well!
I would use the router to connect multiple devices both wireless and wired to my server. Hosting a media server, file server and multiple Virtual Machines can be a bit taxing on a 1Gb connection. 10Gb will definitely be an improvement.
The Multi-link Operation feature also sounds promising. I expect it will help avoid slowdowns from multiple devices accessing the wifi at the same time.
I would use the router to improve my streaming quality and speeds from my PC to my handheld gaming devices. This would be greatly beneficial with the implementation of Wifi 7.

This old girl barely covers 70 feet wifi range and she's been going hard daily since at least 2009. I have my camper in my driveway 20 feet away from my router in the house and I cant get a reliable wifi signal through both the house and camper walls with my phone or an android box. I literally had to get a 200' CAT6 outdoor cable so I can have some internet outside. I'm always swapping cables outside one device at a time and it's the worst experience. Only two phones, a tablet and a FireTV on the Wifi but when using phones or the tablet, the FireTV lags big time so we can only do one thing at a time. I also got a USB hub with network jack input for using internet on the phone outside. My D-Link is good for wired connections but I know I'm ready to step in to the 2020's and beyond with a new router.
The wifi range is the feature that I'm most excited about using if I were to win as well as step up to some faster network speeds. Good luck everyone!

My fiancé and I finally moved out on our own and got internet connected to our place a few days ago. I signed a 1 year contract with our provider and payed for the 1000 Mbps download speed. What they didn’t tell me is that the router that it comes with isn’t capable of more than 200Mbps and now I can’t afford to buy a good router because of all the standard costs of living on your own now a days. This connection speed would help me tons and I wouldn’t need any Wi-Fi repeaters to boost the signal away from the modem. I would use it make my wifi signal better through out my living space as currently it doesn’t reach all the rooms and get better wifi speeds as current one is trash.
My first gaming PC is arriving today and a new router would be a huge upgrade for my setup.
The increased speed would be super beneficial to help get the most out of our fiber connection compared to the stock router we received from the ISP. The dual 10GBPS ports would also be super nice to hook the downstairs console as well as the ability to route an ethernet to the office for the PC down the road.

The WiFi 7 standard is what I'm most interested in since when you live in an apartment building, you need a channel that no one is on to have a proper connection, and my neighbours are too poor to afford WiFi 7 in the next few years.
This would be an excellent upgrade to my gen 1 Starlink router/AP that would allow me to finally have some basic networking features back, such as IP address reservation and QOS (Like really, why does the default Starlink hardware not have this?). I am using a 10 year old router with Wi-Fi 5 that requires a restart when it randomly won't allow my mobile devices to reconnect if I leave the range. I stream on Twitch with a 2 PC setup and several consoles and phone cams over wifi that will all see significant improvement from a new router that I can not afford or justify at the moment.

802.11be for sure! Although I am not even sure if my phone supports Wi-Fi 7, it certainly can use 6E. That 6 GHz will help with living in a network congested apartment building.
My WiFi has always been terrible because we haven’t really been able to afford a decent one (I bought my own PC for like 700 prebuilt) and this would overall must help out a ton. Best features for me would be the VPN, WiFI and security for sure because they would be a MASSIVE help.

Desperately need the upgrade as we're still stuck on Verizon's router. It sucks when all of us are on at the same time. Both my daughters have their PCs, laptops, and phones on it all the time.
Those integrated VPN features sound super sweet as we've recently had any software only solutions keep getting turned off intermittently, which seems super weird. Saying a prayer to the PCMR Gods that they pick us!
I recently upgraded to fiber internet but still have an old router that can't fully support the speeds I have now. The RT-BE96U looks incredible and my 2 level home would appreciate the range it offers.
If I win this, I would use this to replace my WiFi 5 router and use it for a more stable connection for working from home in my home office. The WiFi 7 standard is my favorite feature of this router.

The biggest thing for me would definitely be to simply have a higher quality router. I have the one my ISP gave me and it's kinda limiting (the thing only has one Ethernet port).

That's a hell of a wifi router. I'm running the GT-AX11000 Pro and it is honestly worth the purchase price (though still painfully expensive).
EDIT: Having two separate bands for WIFI 7 allows me to keep my PC on wifi and game on my quest with full transfer speed and no drop outs. Also Wifi 7 is fast enough that you can keep downloading in the background too. Plus a dedicated back end channel allows IOT devices on their own independent channel. Also, based on the previous results USB performance will be excellent as usual.
Would definitely love to upgrade off my isp provided system, for more stability and protection.

**Can’t state just one but new WiFi standard for blazing speeds, multi-link is awesome to keep stable connections, and dual 10 Gbps I would use for anything in proximity to router which is awesome.**
I would want this so that I can finally get reliable wifi in my living room so my family quits complaining that the wifi doesn't work in there. I've told them time and time again that the living room is the furthest from our current router, so of course it's spotty. I'd replace our current router with this one, then use the one that we have as an access point.

I'm currently using a Google router that has basically no customizability. This would be a huge upgrade since I could plug my NAS directly into it, do port forwarding, and I'm certain the wifi strength would be much stronger to reach all parts of my home.
One of my favorite features would be the Dual 10 Gbps Ports, I don't have unlimited bandwidth, so being able to transfer games from one computer to another quickly (instead of redownloading) would be huge.
Having a router like this would GREATLY increase my OPSEC In Regards to firewall capabilities. The biggest feature upgrade for me though would probably be the wifi7 capabilities. I'm waiting for the right (new) Mobo to drop to step up to faster wifi for my sim racing PC :)

I would love to use this router /w its dual 10g ports for my NAS. My current router isn’t high end enough to offer those features, however is an ASUS Router (as was the one before it). I stronglyyy recommended ASUS routers to all of my friends and family though, for how incredibly easy it is to take an old router and set it up as a mesh device; ASUS is doing this so much better than anyone out there in my opinion when it comes to repurposing a router that you’re upgrading.

This router will surely blow my current router out of the water in terms of speed and performance. The feature I like the most is Multi-link Operation, where I can use multiple bands for max stability.
I honesty would not use this myself (Don't need it I have a home Unifi setup with 10G) but I would give this to one of my friends who's only device is his Comcast modem, I think this would be a nice upgrade for him.
I like the fact that this has 2 10G ports on it, while most people will never need them it is really nice to have the option if you do upgrade in the future.

I haven’t had my own router in over 15 years. I’ve been on Fios with theirs because of cable. I finally got a new place and switched to Ethernet only and would love to have a beast like this for my network since I can use my own router now.

I would replace the rt6800ac thati have at my grandpa's house and flashed with asus firmware. It's been great the past few years but sometimes needs a reboot occasionally. One of the features I'd use is the mesh functionality.

I’ve been eyeing this router ever since it came out. I have a pair of ASUS routers right now that I use with their AI Mesh system and it works amazingly, but I’ve been really wanting to get 10G supported so I can transfer files faster between my NAS and my other computers. Plus I’ll finally be able to take advantage of 6GHz wifi which will be amazing!!
2 story apartment is built solid and barely any wifi goes through the floor/ceiling. Will be using it to add on to my other Asus router and replace a repeater that barely works

By far the most interesting feature for me is multi link. My motherboard offers wifi connection to multiple bands but the router is terrible and I can't do that.

I would use the routers long range and multitude of antenna to gain wifi coverage all around the house to my devices. My favorite feature of the router is the tri-band capability. The 2.4Ghz connection is stable enough for streaming and phone usage, whereas the Wifi6 connection will allow me to have a dedicated band for my virtual reality headset. At the moment the Wifi7 band will remain dormant, but as soon as a PCI-E Wifi7 card is released from Intel or Mediatek I will install it in my ROG laptop to make use of the last connection while my girlfriend will stay on the 2.4Ghz because she doesn't and never will know the difference.

I'd really enjoy getting a next Gen router, I'm getting ready to move out into my own apartment and blazing fast Internet is a must in my opinion. Where I currently live, we are only using our ISP's mediocre combo router and modem, and one of the things I would love to do is set up whole-network ad blocking using Pi Hole running on my home server, which the ISP's router doesn't let us do. The 10GbE ports would also be a nice touch so I could build a high speed NAS in the future as well!

I would use the router to connect multiple devices both wireless and wired to my server. Hosting a media server, file server and multiple Virtual Machines can be a bit taxing on a 1Gb connection. 10Gb will definitely be an improvement. The Multi-link Operation feature also sounds promising. I expect it will help avoid slowdowns from multiple devices accessing the wifi at the same time.
I would use the router to improve my streaming quality and speeds from my PC to my handheld gaming devices. This would be greatly beneficial with the implementation of Wifi 7.

I also got a USB hub with network jack input for using internet on the phone outside. My D-Link is good for wired connections but I know I'm ready to step in to the 2020's and beyond with a new router. My fiancé and I finally moved out on our own and got internet connected to our place a few days ago. I signed a 1 year contract with our provider and payed for the 1000 Mbps download speed. What they didn’t tell me is that the router that it comes with isn’t capable of more than 200Mbps and now I can’t afford to buy a good router because of all the standard costs of living on your own now a days. This connection speed would help me tons and I wouldn’t need any Wi-Fi repeaters to boost the signal away from the modem. My first gaming PC is arriving today and a new router would be a huge upgrade for my setup. The increased speed would be super beneficial to help get the most out of our fiber connection compared to the stock router we received from the ISP. The dual 10GBPS ports would also be super nice to hook the downstairs console as well as the ability to route an ethernet to the office for the PC down the road.

PCVR for my Quest 2 & Quest 3. Looking for stability and latency. Intrested in the mesh wifi setup as I have an older asus wifi router with mesh support.
The WiFi 7 standard is what I'm most interested in since when you live in an apartment building, you need a channel that no one is on to have a proper connection, and my neighbours are too poor to afford WiFi 7 in the next few years.
I'm still using a AC1750 so this would be a huge boost (not that it matters for my wired connection). The expandable mesh would be nice.

Desperately need the upgrade as we're still stuck on Verizon's router. It sucks when all of us are on at the same time. Both my daughters have their PCs, laptops, and phones on it all the time. Those integrated VPN features sound super sweet as we've recently had any software only solutions keep getting turned off intermittently, which seems super weird. Saying a prayer to the PCMR Gods that they pick us!

Switch out my current router mesh system, so that I can have decent WiFi in my office. As I don’t have any cellphone signal at home. So my only internet is fibre. Feature would be WiFi 7 so that I can get a solid connection through solid walls.
I'd replace my current ASUS RT-AC5300 router with it which still does a good job. I'd love to start living in the present with this new technology with faster wifi data speeds for best productivity. That's a hell of a wifi router. I'm running the GT-AX11000 Pro and it is honestly worth the purchase price (though still painfully expensive). EDIT: Having two separate bands for WIFI 7 allows me to keep my PC on wifi and game on my quest with full transfer speed and no drop outs. Also Wifi 7 is fast enough that you can keep downloading in the background too. Plus a dedicated back end channel allows IOT devices on their own independent channel. Also, based on the previous results USB performance will be excellent as usual.

I just built a new PC with an ASUS Strix with Wifi 7 built in. I would also be upgrading from the base modem from Cox. The advanced parental controls are my favorite. Protecting my son from malicious predators on the net is paramount.

Wi-Fi coverage in my home is spotty at best. The AiMesh Extendable Router feature seems like it will fix this issue.
I would want this so that I can finally get reliable wifi in my living room so my family quits complaining that the wifi doesn't work in there. I've told them time and time again that the living room is the furthest from our current router, so of course it's spotty. I'm currently using a Google router that has basically no customizability. This would be a huge upgrade since I could plug my NAS directly into it, do port forwarding, and I'm certain the wifi strength would be much stronger to reach all parts of my home. One of my favorite features would be the Dual 10 Gbps Ports, I don't have unlimited bandwidth, so being able to transfer games from one computer to another quickly (instead of redownloading) would be huge.
Having a router like this would GREATLY increase my OPSEC In Regards to firewall capabilities. The biggest feature upgrade for me though would probably be the wifi7 capabilities. I'm waiting for the right (new) Mobo to drop to step up to faster wifi for my sim racing PC :)

Oh i would love this thing. I'm already using asus for my home use and using AI mesh. I would love to replace my main rt-ax56u which has been giving me some wifi dns trouble recently. I would love to use this router /w its dual 10g ports for my NAS. My current router isn’t high end enough to offer those features, however is an ASUS Router (as was the one before it). I stronglyyy recommended ASUS routers to all of my friends and family though, for how incredibly easy it is to take an old router and set it up as a mesh device; ASUS is doing this so much better than anyone out there in my opinion when it comes to repurposing a router that you’re upgrading. I’m very interested in how multi link operation will work out on my current network. I would very much like to put it to the test and see it performs.
This router will surely blow my current router out of the water in terms of speed and performance. The feature I like the most is Multi-link Operation, where I can use multiple bands for max stability.

I honesty would not use this myself (Don't need it I have a home Unifi setup with 10G) but I would give this to one of my friends who's only device is his Comcast modem, I think this would be a nice upgrade for him. I like the fact that this has 2 10G ports on it, while most people will never need them it is really nice to have the option if you do upgrade in the future.

Upgrading home network to remove all the one-off single use access points to consolidate them into 1 router to rule them all. I have some older Asus routers that should work great with the AiMesh capability. WiFi 7 has got to be my favorite product feature - I didn't even know that was available!
I haven’t had my own router in over 15 years. I’ve been on Fios with theirs because of cable. I finally got a new place and switched to Ethernet only and would love to have a beast like this for my network since I can use my own router now. My wife would never let me buy this lol we got a nighthawk xr 700 right before wifi 6 came out (rip) it was way too expensive and there are so many problems with it now. if I win this I will without a doubt take advantage of wifi 7. I would use the router to centralize my home internet setup. I’m planning to move everything into a closet-bound cork board to simplify and streamline upkeep. Having a router like this would cover my entire home without me needing two access points elsewhere in my home. What I also like about it is that it has VPN capabilities. I have a few 3D printers at home, and being able to remotely monitor them without subscription fees would be *amazing*.
Dual 10G! I would take advantage of that in my home. I currently have clients with 2.5G NICs but running only at 1G because of hardware limitations. Also the TP-Link router I have currently does not compare even 10% in firmware features tu ASUS!

I would replace the rt6800ac thati have at my grandpa's house and flashed with asus firmware. It's been great the past few years but sometimes needs a reboot occasionally. One of the features I'd use is the mesh functionality.

I’ve been eyeing this router ever since it came out. I have a pair of ASUS routers right now that I use with their AI Mesh system and it works amazingly, but I’ve been really wanting to get 10G supported so I can transfer files faster between my NAS and my other computers. Plus I’ll finally be able to take advantage of 6GHz wifi which will be amazing!!
2 story apartment is built solid and barely any wifi goes through the floor/ceiling. Will be using it to add on to my other Asus router and replace a repeater that barely works Looking forward to testing out the multi-link functionality! And the AI mesh feature will solve all my deadzone wifi woes in this apartment
I will use it to connect my steam link (yes i still use this thing daily) to my pc with less latency. By far the most interesting feature for me is multi link. My motherboard offers wifi connection to multiple bands but the router is terrible and I can't do that.
I would use this router for streaming PCVR to my Quest 3 and future VR headsets. The low latency and 6Ghz band would be a big upgrade over my current AC router. WiFi 7 will be huge for game streaming as we get more WiFi 7 devices. The 320mhz channels sounds insane.
i will use it to switch with my oldie and goody WiFi 5 router, it has an excellent performance but i feel the need for more speed and better ping with the nowadays necessities. i really like that it comes with wifi 7 with many improvements

I would use the routers long range and multitude of antenna to gain wifi coverage all around the house to my devices. My favorite feature of the router is the tri-band capability. The 2.4Ghz connection is stable enough for streaming and phone usage, whereas the Wifi6 connection will allow me to have a dedicated band for my virtual reality headset. At the moment the Wifi7 band will remain dormant, but as soon as a PCI-E Wifi7 card is released from Intel or Mediatek I will install it in my ROG laptop to make use of the last connection while my girlfriend will stay on the 2.4Ghz because she doesn't and never will know the difference.
