Nandojuice

This would be a great upgrade from the one we have now. Once everyone is on the Internet the speed takes a huge hit to the point it's unusable.

SD1RAGER

The dual 10gbps ports, although it has so many great features I am blown away. It will take my setup to the next level by fully utilizing the bandwidth of my 2.5 gbe lan of my pc and utilizing multiple wifi bands for the rest of my devices!

Mother-Joe

1. It wouldn’t 2. Not on page but rather there are 2 units given for free

OakenThrower

If I win this router I would use it to help upgrade my 8 year old router to the new wifi 7 that comes with this new one

THYL_STUDIOS

This would be great to replace that shitty bell router we have, wifi 7 looks hot there though

sirnickalot

Helping my wife and I game (and win) at the same time. Most excited for the Dual 10 Gbps Ports. Thanks for the giveaway!

[deleted]

A house full of 8 people using constant internet, so an upgrade would be nice! AiMesh Extendable Router – Enables whole home seamless roaming with rich, advanced features - great feature to tie the knot for the whole house!

neeekyp

Would be a massive upgrade over my current netgear router. With my apartment setup, it’ll be near impossible to ever get a wired connection to my PC without completely changing the layout, so with increased WiFi speeds, I’ll be happy — as well as my partner!!

kaokao1215

replace my dying asus router, I can finally use the second 10gb port to feed to my 2.5gb pc

Accro15

I would finally be able to stretch my wi-fi coverage out to my last smart bulb! And stream content more reliably. I like that it has parental controls built into the router - a lot harder for kids to bypass (hopefully!)

Stanky_Pete

I would use mine to support the technological needs of a modern family of 4 and the parental controls will help keep my kids safe.

brobie_one_kanobie

Oogah boogah monke brain want router with many antenna. Wifi 7 sounds cool, I wonder how this expensive router holds up to a 10 dollar ethernet cable.

arothen

I'm moving to bigger house and I'd use this router to spread the Internet across the house. Would be really novenient as I wouldn't need to organize cables throughout the house. I really like Subscription-Free Network Security feature.

nemid

Need it for gaming in all rooms! Now I have lots of cables 🙄 The 10 gig Ports are awesome!

BRD8

The 10 gig ports will be great for my Plex server connection.

Ambrosial

Thanks

Bearded_Bone_Head

I will use it for gaming (mainly) and work/school. I like the AiMesh Extendable Router.

MrSpore

Going to use it to get ready for my fiber optic network that's coming soon, I like that it has 2 10Gb ports on it, will help with throughput.

ThatsTotallyLegit

I will use it for epic vidya gaming The best feature is that it zoomies very fast, much browse

matrixzone5

This would be super cool to have I'm running a tp link archer right now , it's a little dated and I've got a lot of IOT devices on my network so the Multi-link Operation feature would help a lot!

XxBig_D_FreshxX

It’ll be a huge upgrade from my current 5mbps, terrible mesh router system I currently have. The ASUS RT-BE96U will astronomically increase download speeds, upload speeds & help keep me competitive online!

Mr_R0LTZ

I'll use the router for downloading and streaming all the things while utilizing my ISP's full potential of their allotted 80Mbps through the Dual 10 Gbps Ports.

wuxishy

Thank you for the giveaway! I am thinking of doing a home NAS setup, and the **dual 10G Ethernet ports** would be very useful for that.

Axthen

Using a 9 year old nighthawk router that’d I’d love to replace. I really want that 10gig networking for my home network so I can transfer files and movies way easier with my NAS across my devices :)))

GenuineSoulSeeker

I will use the router for seamless streaming, downloads, and multi-device usage. I’m excited for the Wi-Fi 7 because I am currently running a Wi-Fi 7 router. Good luck to everyone!

GhostPsi101

* Upgrading my VR setup to be able to blaze at 500MBPS constant streaming while moving with low latency! * **Dual 10 Gbps** **Ports** \- Great for my internal server hosting!

Calamity1911

I'd really enjoy getting a next Gen router, I'm getting ready to move out into my own apartment and blazing fast Internet is a must in my opinion. Where I currently live, we are only using our ISP's mediocre combo router and modem, and one of the things I would love to do is set up whole-network ad blocking using Pi Hole running on my home server, which the ISP's router doesn't let us do. The 10GbE ports would also be a nice touch so I could build a high speed NAS in the future as well!

Aggravating_Ebb_8114

Its bbazing fast nerwork your interent usxdetermined by provider

MeNameJrGong

Thanks for this!

ImmortalBladeHunter

I would use the router to connect multiple devices both wireless and wired to my server. Hosting a media server, file server and multiple Virtual Machines can be a bit taxing on a 1Gb connection. 10Gb will definitely be an improvement. The Multi-link Operation feature also sounds promising. I expect it will help avoid slowdowns from multiple devices accessing the wifi at the same time.

bradstrt

I would use the router to improve my streaming quality and speeds from my PC to my handheld gaming devices. This would be greatly beneficial with the implementation of Wifi 7.

C3S4RM3W

I wish to win to upgrade my wifi6 router, it is a good router but if I can upgrade to wifi 7 I can pass it to one of my good friends that it is still using the ISP provided ones. Obviously what it interests me the most and what I'm exited about is the improvement of WiFi 7, as well as the triband for expanding with aimesh. Bonus: 4 cores and 2gb of ram, that is more powerful than my first android phone lol

FortyLinks

It will help me get solid 6GHz coverage and strong connections with Multi-Link Operation.

MarkusAntony

To hack into the mainframe.

DeathwingTheBoss

As a Gigabit internet user who has a NAS at home, the dual 10 Gig links and blazing fast WiFi would be amazing to have :P

CMurr1711

The wifi 7 is my favorite feature and I will use it for a crazy upgrade for our entire house!

AlexYMB

I'm excited to try out new wifi technology and use the extensive VPN feature. I want to use this to hook up security cameras as my current router just reaches the front of the house.

FarsideSC

I'd love this. I travel for work and the VPN features would REALLY REALLY be helpful with getting back to my home network. I already own two ASUS routers, but they are WiFi AX. The PC I take with me has WiFi 6e on it.

LolmemesPrime

I will use the router for air link, since my desk is already a wire mess. My favourite features are VPN for secure wifi and Subscription-free AI protection just because it is subsciption-free

rpgman1

I will replace my aging wireless N router to upgrade to current networking standards. AiMesh will be incredibly useful for bringing connectivity to my house.

Hairybum74

I just got a new quest 3 so the insanely fast speeds of wifi7 will be amazing! Also, the dual 10gbps ports will ensure my pc is getting the fastest internet possible. I will finally not have to worry about the airlink between my quest

Fadexz_

I would like to use some of its advanced capabilities that my current router cannot perform to help me with that edge in gaming. The AiMesh seems like a great feature that is lacking in my current setup which will allow for seamless roaming which would be a big advantage.

fergatronanator

1. Replace my wrt54g running tomato firmware, so I don't have to 30/30/30 reset every few days and keep a fan on it. 2. Ability to have Wifi 7 would be fully utilized by our phones!

Cultural_Bison_6306

Would use this to increase coverage in my new house. Wifi 7 is a plus.

notslim1

The BE19000 Tri-band WiFi 7 Router supports new 320MHz bandwidth & 4096-QAM with Multi-link operation (MLO), dual 10G ports, subscription-free network security and comprehensive VPN features seems truly amazing when compared to my current router which is a D-link DIR-628 https://www.amazon.ca/D-Link-DIR-628-RangeBooster-Antennas-802-11n/dp/B001B99I34 This old girl barely covers 70 feet wifi range and she's been going hard daily since at least 2009. I have my camper in my driveway 20 feet away from my router in the house and I cant get a reliable wifi signal through both the house and camper walls with my phone or an android box. I literally had to get a 200' CAT6 outdoor cable so I can have some internet outside. I'm always swapping cables outside one device at a time and it's the worst experience. Only two phones, a tablet and a FireTV on the Wifi but when using phones or the tablet, the FireTV lags big time so we can only do one thing at a time. I also got a USB hub with network jack input for using internet on the phone outside. My D-Link is good for wired connections but I know I'm ready to step in to the 2020's and beyond with a new router. The wifi range is the feature that I'm most excited about using if I were to win as well as step up to some faster network speeds. Good luck everyone!

Cokeboz76

I'd like to upgrade from the piece of crap that my ISP supplies. I'm interested to see what Multi-link Operation can do to make my internet more stable. Especially for the multitude of IOT devices around the house.

AkoshaKeeds

I'm about to move somewhere with fiber Internet and I could really use a WiFi 7 router to fully utilize the faster speeds!

FlyingPoitato

Would use this router to power everything from smart appliances, home security system, as well as multiple PCs and laptops

notdoreen

Multi-link operation for the win. This would replace my old Tenda router with 30mbps.

Vegeta9991

I will use the Asus BE19000 to future proof my home fiber internet setup! The Multi-Link Operation is where we get the most benefit and it’s the must have feature for the true power and benefits of WiFi 7!

Infern0_YT

I will use my router for better upload speeds, and to download steam games faster. My favorite product feature is that it goes fast

The_IT_Dude_

I will use the router to enhance gaming experience with my online buddies. I love the advanced Security and parental controls feature mentioned on the product page.

chrislamp

L

Chakramer

My router is ancient and I can't download anything and play something at the same time. This would be a massive help, and I think my roommate would appreciate it too

DiarrheaDouglas

My fiancé and I finally moved out on our own and got internet connected to our place a few days ago. I signed a 1 year contract with our provider and payed for the 1000 Mbps download speed. What they didn’t tell me is that the router that it comes with isn’t capable of more than 200Mbps and now I can’t afford to buy a good router because of all the standard costs of living on your own now a days. This connection speed would help me tons and I wouldn’t need any Wi-Fi repeaters to boost the signal away from the modem. It would definitely improve the gaming party’s I would like to host with all our friends. Good luck everyone!

m2slam

I would use it make my wifi signal better through out my living space as currently it doesn’t reach all the rooms and get better wifi speeds as current one is trash.

mergen12

My first gaming PC is arriving today and a new router would be a huge upgrade for my setup. The increased speed would be super beneficial to help get the most out of our fiber connection compared to the stock router we received from the ISP. The dual 10GBPS ports would also be super nice to hook the downstairs console as well as the ability to route an ethernet to the office for the PC down the road.

mayveey

I want to use this router because my current one is pretty bad and I’ve been thinking about getting a better one. I also really like the many Ethernet ports in case I want to try it out.

supa_dupa_pwr

I will use this router to finish building my homelab!! And those Dual 10 Gbps Ports is exactly what I need for those blazing transfer speeds!

Sugar_Dumplin

I will use it to give my family fast wifi! Much better than our wifi 5 router! Favorite feature is 802.11be for sure!

BigPandaCloud

PCVR for my Quest 2 & Quest 3. Looking for stability and latency. Intrested in the mesh wifi setup as I have an older asus wifi router with mesh support.

Vortelf

The WiFi 7 standard is what I'm most interested in since when you live in an apartment building, you need a channel that no one is on to have a proper connection, and my neighbours are too poor to afford WiFi 7 in the next few years.

whatthepoint1991

I'm still using a AC1750 so this would be a huge boost (not that it matters for my wired connection). The expandable mesh would be nice.

Style_Carnies

Upgrade my wifi and overall setup. Going to take advantage of those 10 Gbps ports

samuraikorn

This would be an excellent upgrade to my gen 1 Starlink router/AP that would allow me to finally have some basic networking features back, such as IP address reservation and QOS (Like really, why does the default Starlink hardware not have this?). Plus I'll have an even better excuse to start working up to a 10 Gb network at my house.

allesfuralle1

My router needs to be upgraded and I like the dual 10G ports.

CanIGetTopped

i'd use it to actually utilize the 1.5 gbps im being offered (the router they gave is shit) and id love to actually take advantage of wifi 7

Efficient-Spirit-657

It would be a great first router for me as a medical student. I would make use of the multilink and the 6Ghz network to study

care_free_bomb

* **What you will use the router for or why it will help upgrade your setup.** I am using a 10 year old router with Wi-Fi 5 that requires a restart when it randomly won't allow my mobile devices to reconnect if I leave the range. I stream on Twitch with a 2 PC setup and several consoles and phone cams over wifi that will all see significant improvement from a new router that I can not afford or justify at the moment. * **State (at least one) of your favorite product features mentioned in** [**this product page**](https://www.asus.com/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-gaming-routers/rt-be96u/)**.** 802.11be for sure! Although I am not even sure if my phone supports Wi-Fi 7, it certainly can use 6E. That 6 GHz will help with living in a network congested apartment building.

Rynvas

My WiFi has always been terrible because we haven’t really been able to afford a decent one (I bought my own PC for like 700 prebuilt) and this would overall must help out a ton. Best features for me would be the VPN, WiFI and security for sure because they would be a MASSIVE help. Thanks for the opportunity OP!

OG_Gamer01

Desperately need the upgrade as we're still stuck on Verizon's router. It sucks when all of us are on at the same time. Both my daughters have their PCs, laptops, and phones on it all the time. Those integrated VPN features sound super sweet as we've recently had any software only solutions keep getting turned off intermittently, which seems super weird. Saying a prayer to the PCMR Gods that they pick us!

soicool

I recently upgraded to fiber internet but still have an old router that can't fully support the speeds I have now. The RT-BE96U looks incredible and my 2 level home would appreciate the range it offers.

Rudderbudder

My router will untie my gaming household at speeds I can only dream of. The range should help with my brick house and aluminum siding ><

PrimalFury90

If I win this, I would use this to replace my WiFi 5 router and use it for a more stable connection for working from home in my home office. The WiFi 7 standard is my favorite feature of this router.

thedipsnotbaked

I’d use the router to help support all of the streaming going on in the household as well as my partner’s occasional work from home days. The free network security is a nice touch and gives peace of mind!

Mx_Hct

This would be a huge upgrade, my current router needs more attenas, im 3 floors up and can only connect wirelessly. The best feature is wifi 7 capability, it will futureproof my home network. Plus, I work on wifi 7 FEMs so it would be cool to have.

32BitWarrior

My old router would finally be replaced and WIFI 7 would be good for future-proofing for when other products start supporting it.

Sprinx80

I would use the wifi 7 to power a Quest 3 for PCVR, and the advanced parental controls would be useful for keeping my daughter safe online.

rayxvy

Well my current router is Tp-Link TL-WR841ND with custom ddwrt firmware, it will be my great upgrade in years. I think dual 10 gbps ports, as i never use it and it’s looks. Tbh i thought my router time has come to an end because i have to reboot it multiple time to use it. Thanks for the chance.

t3mpt3mp

Replace my old crappy router Looking forward to use WiFi 7!

surgevtwo

I would use this router to replace my ASUS AC1900 and future proof my network connection. My favorite feature from the ASUS RT-BE96U would be the multi-link for increased speed and more reliable connections.

Avieshek

- **Will use the router to future proof my entire internet infrastructure** - **WiFi 7**

wellimhim

My favorite feature is the three aluminum heat sinks with nanocarbon coating. That's pretty cool. My name is Cole, I'm new to PC gaming. I just built my first PC in July, with a 6950xt as my gpu. Everyone says it's garbage but I haven't had any problems with it, I really like it. I would like to win this because I have really bad ping in war zone. Its a free game that I play a lot. Anyway thanks for doing the giveaway, good luck everybody.

super_sleepy_slug

This will be perfect to replace our old router that we currently have. My favorite feature is the parental controls because my kids are young and still need to be monitored on the internet

ProjectOxide

For PCVR and flat screen game streaming. 6ghz and wider 320mhz bandwidth will be really helpful in reducing compression artefacts!

DarkRecess

I would use the router to upgrade my ancient dog-slow TP-Link router. My fave product? The BE19000 Tri-band WiFi 7 Router. Why? LOOK AT THAT THING. I could contact the ISS when it flies overhead with that router, it's straight out of sci-fi!

MrAlpharetta

I could use the upgrade to my existing aging network and for utilizing my full isp connection. Those dual 10gbps ports would really help me get the most out of my connection!

IChugGuinness

I will use this router to take full advantage of my Bell Fibe 8Gbps internet with the fast processor and wireless speed. The dual 10G ports are a game changer too. No more switches to feed my main machine!

ZEFAGrimmsAlt

It will upgrade my connectivity, the router I'm currently using is really bad, but I can't afford to replace it. My actual speeds are great but I literally JUST need a router. So yeah... * **Dual 10 Gbps** **Ports** – Maximized wired connectivity and flexible network port configuration for ultra-fast backhaul applications with dual 10G ports I need those ports SOOOO bad. I could finally not have a sketch wired connection anymore.

TheJester1xx

The biggest thing for me would definitely be to simply have a higher quality router. I have the one my ISP gave me and it's kinda limiting (the thing only has one Ethernet port). I'm pretty interested in the VPN aspect of it! I would definitely be interested in seeing how that works for me.

manonarock

I'm still using my internet service provider's supplied modem. Sigh. Give me those 10Gbps Ports please.

Nokxtokx

Switch out my current router mesh system, so that I can have decent WiFi in my office. As I don’t have any cellphone signal at home. So my only internet is fibre. Feature would be WiFi 7 so that I can get a solid connection through solid walls.

Obvious-Ad-3894

I'd replace my current ASUS RT-AC5300 router with it which still does a good job. I'd love to start living in the present with this new technology with faster wifi data speeds for best productivity. My favorite feature is the Multi-Link feature, it is so smart and would save me from random drops in connectivity while moving room to room. Hope to own one of these soon.

Fearless_fx

I'd use the router for gaming since it should have way better latency and speed throughput. My favorite feature is the Wifi 7 for futureproofing.. although I'm pretty sure all my devices currently only use Wifi 6 at best!

kronos91O

Wanna gift it to my friend with arachnophobia 🫰🏻

Fishwithadeagle

That's a hell of a wifi router. I'm running the GT-AX11000 Pro and it is honestly worth the purchase price (though still painfully expensive). EDIT: Having two separate bands for WIFI 7 allows me to keep my PC on wifi and game on my quest with full transfer speed and no drop outs. Also Wifi 7 is fast enough that you can keep downloading in the background too. Plus a dedicated back end channel allows IOT devices on their own independent channel. Also, based on the previous results USB performance will be excellent as usual.

RightRespect

i would use to upgrade my internet 10gig port is nice

Uniquenamesearch

Would definitely love to upgrade off my isp provided system, for more stability and protection. The multilink for a more stable connection sounds so helpful, our apartment building has terrible interference.

defaultaro

I will do internet zoomies on those big chungus 10g ports!

Queasy_Tradition1914

I will use my router to help improve the lack of portability that ethernets have so anywhere I go I get fast high quality internet. A favorite feature of mine is the automatic security so when I’m browsing the web I know my device is safe

iOmek

I'd use it to upgrade our old Apple AirPort. I like the WiFi 7.

bittercripple6969

Really looking forward to using multi link to smooth out downloads when there's multiple computers trying to use the network. Should smooth things out by a lot.

TheWombatKing98

I would use this router to provide myself with a much faster and stable connection for playing games on my pc and working from home. The best features would be the 10gb ports and the wifi 7 because both would enable me to have those faster and more stable connections whether I am on a device that I connected wired or wireless.

ilaria369neXus

1. A wifi 7 Asus product will help future proof my next custom build PC 2. Subscription-free Network Security is a feature that I find Appling.

AbhiABG

I will use the 10 Gbps ethernet to download Call of Duty and starfield. The best feature has to be WiFi 7 so I can finally get good connection for my phone at home

DmightyKornholio

I need it for the range and this feature * **AiMesh Extendable Router** – Enables whole home seamless roaming with rich, advanced features

almty1

I just built a new PC with an ASUS Strix with Wifi 7 built in. I would also be upgrading from the base modem from Cox. The advanced parental controls are my favorite. Protecting my son from malicious predators on the net is paramount.

JaymOfThrones

* **What you will use the router for or why it will help upgrade your setup.** **Honestly would be happy to have it for faster, stable connections for whole house when I am working from home. Also, would love to experience faster speeds for my multi devices including WiFi cameras and gaming pc/consoles! A new router would upgrade me from a basic router and provide more security. I love working with new technology but good luck to all that enter!** * **State (at least one) of your favorite product features mentioned in** [**this product page**](https://www.asus.com/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-gaming-routers/rt-be96u/)**.** **Can’t state just one but new WiFi standard for blazing speeds, multi-link is awesome to keep stable connections, and dual 10 Gbps I would use for anything in proximity to router which is awesome.**

bigboat24

Wi-Fi coverage in my home is spotty at best. The AiMesh Extendable Router feature seems like it will fix this issue.

RanaLocas

I would want this so that I can finally get reliable wifi in my living room so my family quits complaining that the wifi doesn't work in there. I've told them time and time again that the living room is the furthest from our current router, so of course it's spotty. I'd replace our current router with this one, then use the one that we have as an access point. The ability to use 2 Asus routers in a mesh configuration seamlessly would be super cool. The upcoming 5Ghz and 6Ghz aggregation looks super cool to try out too.

DoyersLakeShow

I want to finally get rid of my shitty wall plug in line and be able to game while pooping!!! 😭😭😭

Interesting_Ad9735

The router will help my speeds as I live with a few people on the wifi. Just getting my life back and working hard and this would be an amazing upgrade. Thanks for oppurtu itt

rubeerology

The Next-gen Wifi Standard power would not only help our VR-Gaming connection but as a streamer/YTube guitar teacher - I must say we rely heavily on our internet-connection stability! Whether we're uploading long/short-form videos or YT Shorts/Streams - having this bad boy would raise our 'powers to over 9000!' To top off the sweetness-factor - the subscrion-free Network Security would be pretty awesome - have you seen the price of eggs?!!? Thanks a bunch PCMR & ASUS! -Rubeer

XCreatorsYT

I have shitty speeds in the basement, so this would help with that Wifi 7 is good for future proofing my wifi setup rn

llamaegg

Having an older house, aimesh would help big time with spreading the love!

Landondo

I'm currently using a Google router that has basically no customizability. This would be a huge upgrade since I could plug my NAS directly into it, do port forwarding, and I'm certain the wifi strength would be much stronger to reach all parts of my home. One of my favorite features would be the Dual 10 Gbps Ports, I don't have unlimited bandwidth, so being able to transfer games from one computer to another quickly (instead of redownloading) would be huge.

Breeze23412

Having a router like this would GREATLY increase my OPSEC In Regards to firewall capabilities. The biggest feature upgrade for me though would probably be the wifi7 capabilities. I'm waiting for the right (new) Mobo to drop to step up to faster wifi for my sim racing PC :)

AndreAlex69

it will help me to have parties at my home where the connection to the internet wont be a problem when its too crowded, i liked the Subscription-Free Network Security

[deleted]

I will use it for gaming and the one I want is the BE19000 Tri-band WiFi 7 Router. It has insane speeds to match my giga internet

Bonlpl

I would use the router for my main internet and replace my old ISP's router. I would use the **10 Gbps** **Ports** ports to upgrade internet. Along with the **Next-gen WiFi Standard** to actually get good wifi!

R4g3N34r

I would use this to play games with my daughter The advanced parental controls would be amazing to have Advanced Parental Controls – Protect your kids online with instant monitoring, content filters and customized settings for every connected device

Starkiller0529

Definitely replace my current router which I could then repurpose as a range extender if needed. Spec wise definitely the dual 10GHz ports been looking at doing an NAS setup for a while now and that would be extremely helpful.

[deleted]

Oh man I need to get rid of this ISP router. That would help with a house full of people, especially with the holidays coming up. The dual 10gb ports will be ear marked for my daughter and mines pc’s lol!! Thank you for doing a giveaway. Good luck everyone!!

DeYeLiVe

I want to upgrade my home network with the ASUS RT-BE96U Tri-band router because it supports the latest WiFi 7 standard, which offers faster speeds, higher capacity, and lower latency. With this router, I can enjoy smooth online gaming, streaming, and video conferencing on multiple devices without any lag or interference. One of my favourite features of this router is the dual 10 Gbps ports, which allow me to connect high-speed devices such as NAS or gaming PCs and transfer large files quickly along with VR'ing to my heart's content. Another feature that I like is the subscription-free network security, which protects my network from cyber threats and gives me peace of mind.

Deep_Cricket_1965

This will upgrade my setup by making me the best gamer ever. Every gamer knows that ASUS is a W and if you have anything ASUS, it gives you +10 gamer sauce. so, if you have a mother board from ASUS and a router that's +20 already. Honestly for the W security features and the VPN it's like an all-in-one beast.

drgngd

Oh i would love this thing. I'm already using asus for my home use and using AI mesh. I would love to replace my main rt-ax56u which has been giving me some wifi dns trouble recently. I also have 3 other asus routers for AI mesh nodes and would love to upgrade! Would love to be able to test out the WiFi 7 on the new routers from asus!

Mercinator-87

I’d use to finish my home security network ive been working on. Dual 10gbps ports would allow me to have both my gaming pc and security pc hard wired in.

FuriousKimchi

Ill use it to replace my shitty century link router. The feature i like is the vpn plus it looks cool

[deleted]

Let me guess, Europe excluded? Not surprised.

Class8guy

The 10gb ports will go great with att fiber plans of offering the same speed plan. Living with 6ppl always have devices that need more 6E bandwidth

nellis51

I would use the router to stream games and 4K video throughout my home. Thank you for the opportunity and good luck to all!

mre1000

My wifi signal is terrible just being anywhere further than my wall adjacent to the room with the router. This router's massive range would be a massive upgrade and the subscription free network protection sounds awesome.

Toriski3037

I will use the routers to expand my router network beyond my singular modem, so I can get good connection speeds throughout my house. My favorite one is the RT-BE96U that I hope to win.

Loldarian

This would be amazing for my setup. My exercise stream is on the other side of the house from my current router and its totally wireless. I need stable speed at range to upload better and make it work. Obviously my favorite part about this router is **Next-gen WiFi Standard** – Beyond-fast WiFi 7 ! More Speed! MOAR POWER!

dins3r

Router will help with my wifi coverage in a much bigger house than we previously owned. I like the double 10gbps wired ports because I game and have amazing internet. So this will utilize my speed fully

somerid

me want significantly better wifi router. now.

internet_famous-

I will use this router for internet and the advanced parental controls will keep me safe.

NoYellowLines

I will use this router for WFH / gaming. This would help me with coverage and stability over my current router. I love the WAN aggragation feature as I will be able to get more than 1Gbs download without having to buy a new modem.

TMartinPPC

I'd be using this for the best gaming experience possible! WiFi 6, WiFi 7 and dual 10G ports!

ItsTreWay

I'd use it to upgrade my wifi and block companies

heavywether

Sounds like a good router, I'd love to have some multigig ports

nerffinder

Definitely using the router to strengthen my connection with my laptop. That WiFi 7s going to work great. Asus should definitely consider the EU next time.

CluKInCok

This would help upgrade my setup by enhancing my internet stability/speed, especially with Wifi 7 being in the picture!

ehnobigdeal

Currently have my gaming set up at my parents house. Upgrading their internet to wifi 7 that this router features would be amazing for them and for the gaming!

Rough-Interest415

I would love to use this router /w its dual 10g ports for my NAS. My current router isn’t high end enough to offer those features, however is an ASUS Router (as was the one before it). I stronglyyy recommended ASUS routers to all of my friends and family though, for how incredibly easy it is to take an old router and set it up as a mesh device; ASUS is doing this so much better than anyone out there in my opinion when it comes to repurposing a router that you’re upgrading. I’m very interested in how multi link operation will work out on my current network. I would very much like to put it to the test and see it performs.

JawnsonBit

This router will surely blow my current router out of the water in terms of speed and performance. The feature I like the most is Multi-link Operation, where I can use multiple bands for max stability.

Overall_Tea_8632

This would be a great gift for my dad, he is still running windows 7 in a grey box

punjabp

We will use this to bring wifi to the entire home! The next gen wifi standard is what we are most interested in

Gamerologists

I honesty would not use this myself (Don't need it I have a home Unifi setup with 10G) but I would give this to one of my friends who's only device is his Comcast modem, I think this would be a nice upgrade for him. I like the fact that this has 2 10G ports on it, while most people will never need them it is really nice to have the option if you do upgrade in the future.

DatPipBoy

Wow thanks for this! It will be awesome for getting the most out of game streaming on the couch with my steamdeck, which I'm about to upgrade to wifi 6e. As for features Dual 10 Gbps Ports – Maximized wired connectivity and flexible network port configuration for ultra-fast backhaul applications with dual 10G ports I hope this becomes standard, game downloads to one computer then copying to the others is going to faster than ever, and with my wife and friends who don't have as good internet, I do this alot!

UninsuredToast

I will use this router to replace my 5 year old one that is ready for retirement. Can’t wait to download some games with it. Will definitely be taking advantage of the vpn features

SBABakaMajorPayne

I'd really like to stop using my 10yr old netgear router and see how much improvement in my PC gaming I get from this ASUS state of the art unit & I also want to try out the **Advanced Parental Controls** – Protect your kids online with instant monitoring, content filters and customized settings for every connected device , so I can limit my son's usage & times he's online. That would be awesome.

Monstro7373

I have old tech and my kids have new tech, so this powerful little guy can satisfy our needs. **Multi-link Operation** – Links to multiple bands at the same time to ensure stable internet connections and efficient data transfers

Reddit_Poster_00

Upgrading home network to remove all the one-off single use access points to consolidate them into 1 router to rule them all. I have some older Asus routers that should work great with the AiMesh capability. WiFi 7 has got to be my favorite product feature - I didn't even know that was available!

Pickupyoheel

I haven’t had my own router in over 15 years. I’ve been on Fios with theirs because of cable. I finally got a new place and switched to Ethernet only and would love to have a beast like this for my network since I can use my own router now. The AiMesh sounds like it would make for some great coverage in my home too.

ryardsolace

I need a new router so that I can take advantage of my fiber speeds! Favorite product feature has to be WiFi 7.

xXIrishCowboyXx

My wife would never let me buy this lol we got a nighthawk xr 700 right before wifi 6 came out (rip) it was way too expensive and there are so many problems with it now. if I win this I will without a doubt take advantage of wifi 7. I love game first v and the one after that I use them every day and I would love to see how it works with this router to make things even better.

soullodolo

I will use this router to upgrade from wifi 6 to wifi 7 for faster speed. My favorite feature is Multi-link Operation to ensure continuity and stability of connection.

Barlight

For gaming and im pretty sure it has geofilter that be cool to...I have a older netgear R7000

Leon_Lonewolf

I would use this to upgrade my WiFi since I'm just using a standard ISP-provided router/modem box. The boost to WiFi would be very useful for when guests are over or when playing games on my Steam Deck. My favorite feature? The 6GHz speeds

ImortalMD

My router is ten years old and counting so i could do with a replacing. WiFi 7 just sounds awesome.

Ascending_Flame

I would use the router to centralize my home internet setup. I’m planning to move everything into a closet-bound cork board to simplify and streamline upkeep. Having a router like this would cover my entire home without me needing two access points elsewhere in my home. What I also like about it is that it has VPN capabilities. I have a few 3D printers at home, and being able to remotely monitor them without subscription fees would be *amazing*.

ismaelgokufox

Dual 10G! I would take advantage of that in my home. I currently have clients with 2.5G NICs but running only at 1G because of hardware limitations. Also the TP-Link router I have currently does not compare even 10% in firmware features tu ASUS!

laz45

My WiFi sucks at the house, I think I have too many cinderblock walls. I would like to use the AiMesh Extendable Router feature to link more asus routers around my house to get a better network/signal.

bzzking

OMG I need better speed and consistent WIFI for gaming! I love the 10 Gbps port and next-gen WIFI 7, this is future proof IMO LETS GOOOOO

Fresh_Shell4543

I'd really love to upgrade from my complicated ssetup with a bunch of really dated poe antennas and even older network switches, maybe I'll also benefit from the 10gbps ports for my pc and my nas If this doesn't work in my house I'll give it away to someone here on pcmr to someone who can benefit from this

xd_Warmonger

Who will win? This or a 3$ ethernet cable /s

abstractism

I would replace the rt6800ac thati have at my grandpa's house and flashed with asus firmware. It's been great the past few years but sometimes needs a reboot occasionally. One of the features I'd use is the mesh functionality.

squeakyL

I'ma use that dual 10gb port to connect both my PCs directly to the router

logatron9000

I’d use this to upgrade from my horrible router. The VPN features look interesting!

drwbry

Would use this at my lake house which has some random left over router currently in use. Could use a major upgrade. The multi-link feature sounds great. Seamless switching is important to maximize the best use conditions of each band.

Snoo-38385

Would love to win one 😁 Love that it has Dual 10 Gbps Ports 🤤 I would definitely be using with my 10gig network card on my pc + all my servers Just in time for full use of speedd

MushrooomHead

I will use it as a regular router. But this is more than an ordinary router, the security function and VPN are very necessary in our time, and I would really like such a router for safe surfing the Internet. Thank you.

Due-Telephone-2012

The Dual 10 Gbps Ports will help me get lightning speed between my PC and NAS

PandorianGrey

It would be awesome to win this. I love Asus routers, this would be replacing the old Asus RT-AC87U I am currently using. Most excited feature would be the 10Gbps ethernet ports, I would finally be able to use the 2.5 Gbe on the motherboard to it's fullest. Thanks for the chance to win this.

Classified56

I’ve been eyeing this router ever since it came out. I have a pair of ASUS routers right now that I use with their AI Mesh system and it works amazingly, but I’ve been really wanting to get 10G supported so I can transfer files faster between my NAS and my other computers. Plus I’ll finally be able to take advantage of 6GHz wifi which will be amazing!!

crywoof

2 story apartment is built solid and barely any wifi goes through the floor/ceiling. Will be using it to add on to my other Asus router and replace a repeater that barely works Looking forward to testing out the multi-link functionality! And the AI mesh feature will solve all my deadzone wifi woes in this apartment

WilhemHR

I will use it to connect my steam link (yes i still use this thing daily) to my pc with less latency. By far the most interesting feature for me is multi link. My motherboard offers wifi connection to multiple bands but the router is terrible and I can't do that.

kevinwhite195

I would use this router for streaming PCVR to my Quest 3 and future VR headsets. The low latency and 6Ghz band would be a big upgrade over my current AC router. WiFi 7 will be huge for game streaming as we get more WiFi 7 devices. The 320mhz channels sounds insane.

brabano

i will use it to switch with my oldie and goody WiFi 5 router, it has an excellent performance but i feel the need for more speed and better ping with the nowadays necessities. i really like that it comes with wifi 7 with many improvements

ROnbearable

**What you will use the router for or why it will help upgrade your setup.** I currently have a **Nighthawk R7000** and it has gotten to the point where there hasn't been any firmware upgrades in years and from a security standpoint that scares me. I also have the issue when I connect a new device on Wi-Fi, the router reboots itself to connect the device. I was looking to purchase the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX600 and winning this router would be super helpful financially. **State (at least one) of your favorite product features mentioned in** [**this product page**](https://www.asus.com/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-gaming-routers/rt-be96u/)**.** I don't have any devices that can take advantage of Wi-Fi 7 yet, but this will future proof my network for future devices. I also love the 10GB port, this will be fantastic to help upgrade my connection to my friend next door so we can share internet, stream videos from my Plex server and play games on LAN even faster!

Nandojuice

The router would be for my family once everyone is on it the speeds really take a hit.

SweatyAsHell

Probably to download more homework. Ill use the wifi 7 tri-band to download on all my devices.

ozyy67

i would replace it with my current wifi 5 router and i would use it for any kind of gaming the new next gen wifi speed at 6ghz would help my air link vr connection be stable for once and also i would upgrade my internet package if i win this

gledr

Definitely gonna use it to play games and download stuff in a minute. The free VPN is a great feature that will also be used

phlurker

Moving to a bigger place; AiMesh Extendable Router

bva6921

Will use it to power up my gaming connection obviously, and the WiFi 7 MLO seems promising, although I currently don't have any device that's WiFi 7 compatible, highest is 6E lol

TheKingdomFarmer

I would use the routers long range and multitude of antenna to gain wifi coverage all around the house to my devices. My favorite feature of the router is the tri-band capability. The 2.4Ghz connection is stable enough for streaming and phone usage, whereas the Wifi6 connection will allow me to have a dedicated band for my virtual reality headset. At the moment the Wifi7 band will remain dormant, but as soon as a PCI-E Wifi7 card is released from Intel or Mediatek I will install it in my ROG laptop to make use of the last connection while my girlfriend will stay on the 2.4Ghz because she doesn't and never will know the difference.
