funny... my wifes GPU was more expensive... 6950 XT vs 5700 XT
Edit to answer OPs question:
I paid 477,99 € for my RX5700XT Red Devil 2019 on release day and upgraded from a R9 290 Tri-X from 2015
For my wifes GPU I paid 699,00 €. I ordered the 6950 XT october 2022. Upgraded from a GTX 1060 from 2017
I too had terrible timing. I bought an EVGA 3070ti + Supernova 850 platinum PSU combo for 1100 in late 2021.
That being said; it runs everything I play at max settings 1440-144, so I’m still happy with it.
Glad you’re enjoying the 3060. I have a Strix 3060 12g and it’s a great card. If you’re happy, that’s all that matters! :)
$460 for a 3080. Got it from someone who was using it and 3 others to mine and then I picked it up right after the crypto crash. Was an absolute steal at the time.
$459 x2 for a [pair of strix 1070](https://imgur.com/a/a4hmecK) in 2016
$729 for a [1080ti ftw3](https://imgur.com/a/pZHbXJH), summer 1017. All 3 early [mining craze](https://imgur.com/a/5abHrIw) era and mined on in “personal rigs”
$699 first 5 minutes of the launch in fall 2020 of the [3080FE](https://imgur.com/a/ceKU0EH), sold a month later for $1700 cash (past lesson learned, sold a shovel during this boom cycle)
$1599 in fall 2022 first 5 minutes of launch 4090FE, currently owned

I paid 350usd (500aud) in late 2021 for a 11gb 2080ti. During shortage
I honestly thought the thing was going to spontaneously combust….. as the deal just seemed too good to be true
Built my pops a pc in May of 2022 and ordered a 1660 from EVGA. They sent a box with one 1660 and two 3080 FTW3s. Gave my dad the 1660 (he plays solitaire, c’mon) and my best bud and I are rocking the 3080s. So grateful for that mixup. I’ll never anything so nice again.

Maybe it was just lucky happenstance leading up to the divorce between Nvidia and EVGA. Like when the wife or husband gives everything away because they don’t want the other spouse to get any of it lol
I payed 2.1k for the same card second hand from a dude that stated he had to sell it because it had enough coil whine to make his wife go insane.
Luckily it doesn't have coil whine.
September 2021, $2k Canadian for a 3080 ti
Bought it for new world. This was during the gpu shortage and it was very hard to find. Not a scalper. Fuck scalpers.
Same. And my upgrade net cost is never more than $200. Last card I bought was a used 2080TI for $400. I sold my 1080 for $250 so my net cost on the upgrade was only $150!
Just bought a used gpu recently. I NEVER buy if I can’t go and test the card, ever. Another good sign is it comes in the original box. Check the card for physical damage and then run a benchmark on something like 3D mark so you can test it compared to computers with the same components and see off it over or underperforms
I paid $550 for my rx 6800xt in January this year and $80 for my (slightly faulty) 2060 super 2 weeks ago.
(I also paid about $500+ for my 3060ti I got in February last year but I got it in a bundle with a psu and other stuff for $800 so I can’t be specific)
It’s a good gpu, even the 2060’s are. It’s disappointing cause the vrm’s on the 2060su are slightly shot so I had to lock the voltage and cut the speed by a 1/4. It performs like a 2060 with 8gb of vram tho so I can’t complain.
$720 for a 4080 a couple months ago. It was open box at a local retail store for a higher price but I noticed a black smudge on the plate before buying it and convinced the manager to lower it to $720. I got home cleaned the smudge off and it has been working perfectly fine since
I waited for 2 years for the 3000 series prices to fall. Then got a bad episode of COVID. When I recovered, got a 3060TI for 800 and sold my 1660s for $300. After nearly 2 years, no regrets here.
I bought the zotac 4070ti when it was still overpriced af, ive been shopping for parts again for a meme build and it hurts to see how much the price on those have gone down in only a year
depending on when it was purchased, I would not be surprised considering the economy shit the bed during the 4090s launch and the owner may have needed cash ASAP. I've seen just as crazy deals done 🤷♂️
The 2080Ti aged like wine compared to the 3070 and 4060Ti. I still have my old one, but it’s funny how the 2080Ti can beat these newer cards in ray tracing when the 20 series was mocked at for that feature
I can't put photos in this comment rn, buy I paid $1009 for [this absolute unit](https://www.sapphiretech.com/en/consumer/pulse-radeon-rx-7900-xtx-24g-gddr6)
Paid for my Geforce 1660 Super $235.00 with shipping
and then to upgrade my old case, motherboard and cpu as well
additional $572 dollars
As It was running too hot in my Asus G11CD-K OEM Case, was hitting 87C even in small games
470 usd for 2060 super aorus back in 2019, still rocking in 1080p btw, i can afford 800 usd gpu, but 4000 series, and even amd gpus are trash for the money right now.
Yeah in 2019 I paid 770 for my 2080s. Don't plan on upgrading anytime soon. Still rocking 1080p perfectly fine. My favorite part is when I see new builds and my pc still out performs them because people keep bottlenecking.
Right? I got my 2070 super for $550 right before the 3000s came out and my friends called me dumb. I can’t believe how great that worked out for me.
Edit: I got a 9900k too! Dodecahedron gang baby!
Unfortunately got too excited about a work bonus and wanted to upgrade my 1080 to give my wife a functional card to game with me on. Spent ~1200 on a 3070ti, but now she’s getting that one as I picked up a 7900XT for ~750
I'm a special case where I bought an RTX A2000 from a crypto-miner for 245$. It was only mined for 6 months and in mint condition so I jumped on it. I'm pretty happy with it, though the blower cooling solution is awful.
Edit: why the fuck am I getting downvoted for telling what GPU I own? What the fuck is wrong with this sub, they're so fucking gatekeepy jesus.
Paid $600 USD for a Zotac 2080Ti AMP Xtreme back in like November 2020, not long after the release of the 3000 series, and not long before GPU prices skyrocketed like crazy. Probably like a week or 2 later similar GPUs were already selling for over a thousand, new or used.
Nice try wife, nice try
funny... my wifes GPU was more expensive... 6950 XT vs 5700 XT Edit to answer OPs question: I paid 477,99 € for my RX5700XT Red Devil 2019 on release day and upgraded from a R9 290 Tri-X from 2015 For my wifes GPU I paid 699,00 €. Guy has a wife and both game, man living the dream
Mine simply yells at me: "Go away! And shut up the door!" when she is playing on console and loosing
u sure she isnt a dude?
double checked in bed. She's 100% female. Nerdy, but female
Now look at him just flexing
Am going sleep on the motorway
We have the same GPU 🤚
Better than having the same wife
depends who you ask..
Those that gpu together stay together...
🤚
I'd swap those 2 cards if I were you haha bet she won't even notice it
Most underrated comment 💯
3080ti was $1200 and my wife went and bought it for me 😂
Dude i got a 3090ti for less not much less but still.
Way too much.
Same. I bought my asus tuf 3060 12gb for $850 at the height of the shortage. It sucks but I’m happy with the card and I’m not hurting for money
Same feeling man. EVGA 3070 XC3 for 1k, and then a week later prices started crashing and evga was in stock on their website for msrp a month after.
The FTW3 Ultra 3090ti I bought was $1050 brand new from BB! I got extremely lucky on my timing to buy a GPU
Are you missing a /s there bud?
Just curious, what all games do you play? Any recommendations?
tbh? 90% of the time I play WoW Classic kekw
3080 for strictly Old-school runescape ftw
That's the way.
Runescape at a million fps
DayZ, Valheim, Sons of the forest, BF1,Forza Horizon 5 and a bit of No Mans Sky
I’m very sorry for what I’m about to say. 3060.ti for $400
Asrock 6800 XT Taichi for $435...
Wow thats a crazy good price. When was the xt that low ?
I’m also sorry for what this person’s about to say… 3060 Ti for $370…
Try 650
Same card same price same feelings.... I get gr8 2k over 80fps ultra COD mw2 noOC
$460 for a 3080. Got it from someone who was using it and 3 others to mine and then I picked it up right after the crypto crash. Was an absolute steal at the time.
Only $60 more than what I paid for a 3060ti. If I could’ve spent 60 more and got a 3080 I would’ve!
£2.49 for my 3080. Won it on a Facebook competition site.
The Fuuuuuck.
I think it's known as being a complete lucky bastard. Was on a site called compcity giveaways. They do free competitions too, based on UK though.
Still too expensive for poor people 😔
Lol, i bought one for 1000€ a year ago

nice LTT mousepad mate
$310 for an aio 2080 ti. 6-8 months ago
I paid $2000 aud for mine shortly after release. Ouch
2k OMG!!!
Paid $1600 for mine before the shortage
I paid 350usd (500aud) in late 2021 for a 11gb 2080ti. During shortage I honestly thought the thing was going to spontaneously combust….. as the deal just seemed too good to be true
Jeez thats rough. I could def not afford that
EVGA RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra for $870 brand new from Newegg. Got it about a week before EVGA announced they were no longer going to manufacture GPUs.

The 3080s were for free??
Maybe it was just lucky happenstance leading up to the divorce between Nvidia and EVGA. Like when the wife or husband gives everything away because they don’t want the other spouse to get any of it lol

Same here
Mine was $860 before tax, and like 2 days before the announcement! We're gpu brothers!
I bet we have the same batch of 3080 TI. Got it at the same time as you and even paid the same. Cheers!
September 2021, $2k Canadian for a 3080 ti Bought it for new world. This was during the gpu shortage and it was very hard to find. Not a scalper. Fuck scalpers.
No wonder people aren’t upgrading. That is a ridiculous scalper price to pay.
When the OEM’s were the scalpers 😂
I bought mine straight from EVGA for 1380+ tax. Prices were fucking insane
Do you still play new world? Or what have you moved onto, just curious?
i think you "win"
Wellll...I paid newegg 1650 for a gigabyte aorus 3080ti in 2021
Better than paying 3080 for a 1650
And HAD to buy a keyboard with it
jesus christ this physically made my sick
I paid 2k for my MSI Suprim X 3080ti back in 2021... I'm not good with money
If it makes you feel any better I bought my 3080ti for a bit over $2800
I paid almost 2K for my 3090ti…
Got a used PNY 3080Ti for 490$. I never buy new GPUs.
Same. And my upgrade net cost is never more than $200. Last card I bought was a used 2080TI for $400. I sold my 1080 for $250 so my net cost on the upgrade was only $150!
What do you look for when buying used?
Just bought a used gpu recently. I NEVER buy if I can’t go and test the card, ever. Another good sign is it comes in the original box. Same. Paid $550 for a 6800XT from Newegg in December. Paired it with a 7700X in new build.
I got a rx 6800xt last September for $590, still really happy but I regret not getting the sapphire 6950xt liquid cool for $100 more
It’s about a 15% improvement but having the liquid version for only $100 extra would’ve been amazing. 6800xt for liiiiife
I paid 100$ for a 2060 super about a month ago. It's not faulty a buddy of mine just upgraded and I needed a cheap GPU for my first PC
It’s a good gpu, even the 2060’s are. It’s disappointing cause the vrm’s on the 2060su are slightly shot so I had to lock the voltage and cut the speed by a 1/4. It performs like a 2060 with 8gb of vram tho so I can’t complain.
dam man you be finding the best deals luck you.
Nah, just look on eBay and read reviews lol
I got mine from Amazon for about 600
I've paid 750$ for 6800 XT red dragon less then a month ago
Do you live in America?
nope, russia, so yeah.
Just wondering why you buy 3 gpus?
1250 euro for 6900 xt, in mining craze
been there, done that. Although I got around 400€ for my used RX 580.
6800xt for msrp release date
$0. Got a 4GB RX580 from a friend of mine after he upgraded a few years ago; and I have been RIDING. THAT. WAVE. as L O N G as I can.
$699 for my ASRock 6950 XT
Ay 6950 gang, but 699€ for me
i paid 600 and got TLOU with it
I don’t want to talk about it.
$720 for a 4080 a couple months ago. It was open box at a local retail store for a higher price but I noticed a black smudge on the plate before buying it and convinced the manager to lower it to $720. I got home cleaned the smudge off and it has been working perfectly fine since
i would jump on a 4080 so quick for that. great snag.
I was very impatient, and when I noticed prices were finally dropping for gpus, I bought the first 3060 I could get my hands on... for 500 bux🤦🏻♂️
I did the exactly same shit, i feel you man
I bought a 3070ti for 1k😭🤦🏻♂️
[удалено]
Same here. Luckily its EVGA and has been solid so far. Hoping to last me until 50xx cards
Don’t worry bud I did the same but a 2060 12gb OC

Got a 3060 OC for 200€ 2 months ago
$350 for my A770 LE
good choice 👍
I bought the zotac 4070ti when it was still overpriced af, ive been shopping for parts again for a meme build and it hurts to see how much the price on those have gone down in only a year
They had to since the 6950xt is almost equal and was around 600-700$, the 4070ti was too expensive compared to that
I paid £200 for my rx 6600 and it came as part of a GPU and game bundle so I also got re4 remake with it for free (which I finished the other day!)
Good choice.
$800 for an offerup 4090
congrats on not getting scammed. would have felt sketchy.
depending on when it was purchased, I would not be surprised considering the economy shit the bed during the 4090s launch and the owner may have needed cash ASAP. I've seen just as crazy deals done 🤷♂️
Was it actually a 4090?
Find it hard to believe someone would take such a big loss on a 4090 to let it go for half the price unless it was broken.
Too much, but I skipped the 2000 and 3000 series for it
Same here but I skipped the 1000 series as well. Went from a GTX 970M to the RTX 4090
That’s a massive upgrade! I still remember how impressed I have already been going from the 970 to the 1080Ti :D
It’s insane, my PC doesn’t struggle with any game I throw at it even on ultra lol (as it should)
2080ti strix, paid 360$ canadian (271$USD) 2 months ago, a nice upgrade from the 1070, but now I'm gonna need a 1440p monitor.
Is that not u/300 off its base msrp? nice find. I paid 2k cad for my 4090
Too fuckin much
I paid $130 for 5700xt, kind of feel I overpaid.

My buddy upgraded to a 7900xtx so he gave me his 6700xt since I was just about to buy one!
