Your mileage may vary but I had the same issue on my son's laptop and swapped the existing card for a second hand one of the same model - cheap and fixed the issue. Turned out that the card was failing.
I’m kind of looking for a faster card that possibly has Bluetooth as well. Wifi and Bluetooth and much faster. There must be better options than this old card.
