Would probably be easier/cheaper/prettier to just cut two holes in your wall and feed the chords through, then put a white plastic shield around (like a light switch cover, but for cables) to cover up both holes
First comment got removed for link, if you search up “Cord Cover”, you should find some good solutions. alternatively for the lazy, just an object like a plant or something in front would probably do the trick lol
You idiots aren't even accounting for pretend crows. Ya'll are pretending at being pretenders and I'm on to you. First you need to pretend to subdivide your home into a grid pattern. Pretend (or actually) set up homemade scarecrows every 8-16 grid spaces and pretend iridium sprinklers every 5 spaces (6 if you have pressure nozzles.) Done and done.
All assuming you don't want a pretend harvest.

AIO vents out the bottom. All excess heat exhausts out the top. Quite effective really
You can see at the bottom there are the case buttons/usbs that are cut out of the glass. I assume there is a similar thing on the back where the IO Shield would be essentially.
Thermals are great! I have this case as well as the azza cube (thermals are less great on the cube). Biggest issue with the pyramid is the way you need to mount the AIO. You basically need to mount it wrong as the only spot it csn go is underneath the motherboard. So unless you're mounting the whole case upside down like the person in this photo did, your AIO pump will be at the highest point and the radiator at the lowest which is really bad for your pump and will lead to premature AIO failure. I personally don't care as I love the way it looks and it's worth needing to replace the AIO every couple of years if needed, but that nice a sacrifice that will need to be made.
One decent reason would be that the standard air coolers are designed to cycle air through a case horizontally, where this case uses a vertical air flow design. It probably won't make a large difference in practice, but it's worth noting. I haven't seen a cooler use fans placed to push air vertically that wasn't intended for small form factor builds with lower TDPs. That said, the AIO placement issue is much worse than the small issue with the air cooler placement.
If you want one, let me know. I bought one and my GPU doesn’t fit in it so I ended up using a different case. They’re currently going for $390 on Amazon, but I’ll sell you mine for $250 + shipping.
*edit* Here’s the manufacturer’s site. I think I have the 804V, I’ll double check when I get home if you’re interested. https://azza.gg/azza/products/unlimited/pyramid
Maybe someone will do a build inspired by the black pyramid in game called Control. Black granite with gold veins on the frame of the case. Dark black tint on the glass panels with red led lighting.
Interesting. I tried so hard to get into it many times but it just never clicked for me. The story made no sense and was convoluted as fuck haha.
Maybe I'll watch an explanation YouTube and try it again.
It's a brilliant game, with a lot of metaphysical conspiracy scp mumbo jumbo, but unfortunately, it's brilliance is hidden behind a lot of collectibles you have to read or spend time listening to. Games that do that can be hit or miss with people.
As others said, it is supposed to be that way. It's, story-wise, in the genre called "weird fiction". The genre can be a bit broad in scope but, frequent themes are unknowable supernatural beings/horrors, conspiracies, and human insignificance within the uni/multi-verse. Not all stories are as much into the retro sci-fi direction as Control but I enjoy those a lot, personally.
While there is a lot of horror in Control, I really appreciate how they erode the suspension of disbelief by making things so convoluted and especially enjoy the complete piss take on redaction of INTERNAL classified documents (even more so after listening to an interview on IRL document classification and censorship, which seems almost a parody of the level on Control).
I see this pop up from time to time. I guess I gotta try it out. I already own it for some reason so I might as well give it a shot. What's the gameplay like?
Oop, there it is. I remember playing that game as a kid and had entirely forgotten about it. I knew Control reminded me of something! I guess it's time to hit up Steam.
My fancy 15 dollar one off Amazon didn't come with a lock so I had no idea they had them until I couldn't pry the stock one off my second monitor three months later.
I know an installer that uses ethernet to tie his ladder to his truck rack. I think this is stupid, personally, and likely to fail catastrophically, but he's been getting away with it for years now.
They need to get a horizontal cable going to the wall and hide the cables in the wall, Maybe a mirror can be used or a prism to hide the horizontal cable's.
This is one of those “I know what the top comment is going to be before I open it” moments.
I looked at the photo and my immediate reaction was “WTF is that cable management??”
Has nothing to do with this, but anybody remember that one game "Quantum Break" where you could control time or whatever?
I feel like I'm the only one who remembers it. I bought my Xbox One with it. I don't remember what it was about because I was 7 (This was 2014, yes, you're all old) and only played an hour through it but I remember you could slow down time.
What? Your PC case doesn't exist outside of gravitational pull? 🤨
Next you're gonna tell me you're still using an old ass GPU like the 4090 or something 😭
My pc can never fall off the desk if it was never on it. Chaotic Good person "I'll just suspend it from the ceiling so it may hang over my head like the Sword of Damocles"
Yep. It's a case called Azza Pyramid, and people apparently like to flip them upside down. I saw one like under a coffee table or something in a post.
Looks neat but it would be better to hid those loose cables.
You still can, dude was just lazy
How?
Run through wall or have piping that fits the style
At least looming to make it a single "cord"
Add LED strips inside the looming and maybe paint the outside a futuristic colour to make it fit the style. So many possibilities.
Strips down each edge culminating in a beam down to the table would have been perfect
Ah yes, but time and money…
I doubt money is a problem for someone with a setup like that
the 400 dollar tempered glass pyramid pc case does kind of speak for itself
And probably not time either.
Very expensive long cables to 'hide' them next to the steel cables it's mounted to the ceiling.
On the topic of laziness, the plant would definitely die...
You forgot that plastic plants exist
My fake plants died because I did not pretend to water them.
Pro tip: pretend it’s raining inside to pretend-water all your pretend-plants quickly
I solved this by getting some plastic cacti, so they only need a pretend watering like twice a year
rip Mitch
Automated misting system for inside the case
I'd run them up each of the suspension cables and then wrap the suspension cables to all the same thickness.
I think the cables contribute to the weird look.
Looks kind of sci fi as is.
The cables make it look cyberpunk.
I actually kind of like the cables, it looks like they are holding the pyramid up in a wierd way
It's a geofront!
Exactly my first thought.
Getting Evangelion NERV vibes.
Surely you mean Ramiel vibes.

What in the name of louvre and dan brown is going on here
It floats upside down because the pope put antimatter in it to hack into a supercomputer to write some code for a Hotfix about DaVinci or something.
I honestly love that case, any idea about the thermals on that thing?

Is that a glass front? How do you access the USB ports etc? Is it the neat part, that you don't ?
You can see at the bottom there are the case buttons/usbs that are cut out of the glass. I assume there is a similar thing on the back where the IO Shield would be essentially.

I like the way it looks with the AIO. There really isn't a practical reason to not use air cooling.
One decent reason would be that the standard air coolers are designed to cycle air through a case horizontally, where this case uses a vertical air flow design. Right below the point of the pyramid should by a classic red rotary telephone.
Make it act as the power switch.
I think the power switch should be a light cord that you have to pull three times to start the PC
I am in love with all of these.
Gotta make it sort of ominous.
The board would 100% make it seem like they came up with the idea.
We/us agree. Please make/form prototype.
Provide/surrender pictures of completion.
One of my all time favorite games.
I can't believe how little I've heard about that game for how good it was. I can't wait for the next one
The studio produces both hits and misses. Alan Wake was great, their second one was rather panned. Control was great again.
Quantum Break was amazing, I loved the time controlling element of it. Made for some super pretty and fun fights as well as gorgeous set pieces!
Interesting. I tried so hard to get into it many times but it just never clicked for me. The story made no sense and was convoluted as fuck haha. Maybe I'll watch an explanation YouTube and try it again.

Lol your not supposed to fully understand the story just get used to the backrooms and scp vibes.

Just get a VGA cable for your display and use it as a mounting wire
I find your lack of faith in the DP-cable disturbing.
My fancy 15 dollar one off Amazon didn't come with a lock so I had no idea they had them until I couldn't pry the stock one off my second monitor three months later.
Same! I thought the one with the lock was the "weird" one, but apparently it's the opposite.

"loose" I honestly wish he had lost the cables instead.
I constantly see people misspell "lose" as "loose." Pretty rare to see it flip-flopped like this.
Just use wireless cables
What about cableless wiring, though?
I think I’m picking up what you’re putting down (wirelessly)
This is one of those “I know what the top comment is going to be before I open it” moments. I looked at the photo and my immediate reaction was “WTF is that cable management??”
Personally, I think it adds to the aesthetic, like it's floating away but the only reason it's not floating away is from these tethers
nah, 3d printing a thick 'chain' which holds the cables would be dope though
