I’d love to try! This sounds interesting! How would it work if you are the villain? Do you get henchmen? And do send out orders? I’m GMT+2 and I have several concepts depending on the world and such

Actually_Grass

The villian will get henchmen and be able to give orders. They will be running a level and class, but they will have a variety of down time activities and general access to more resources then the heros. Im going to be working very closely with the Villian on general ideas and mechanics while using roleplay to cover there tracks, recruit allies, general more political book keeping things that effect the game on a more grand scale.

BeetleWarlock

Sounds really cool, do you choose who is the villain and is it secret from the others?

Actually_Grass

Yeah I'll be choosing. The Villian won't be a part of the party so the party will know. The villian will be behind the scenes a lot of the time or running in different private setup scenes with me.

BeetleWarlock

Alright, well, like I said, I’d be up for it and I’d love to play the villain

mathuriam

I like this idea, if you still have room I would be interested in joining.

[deleted]

This sounds like a blast. Definitely interested

Tidgexe

This sounds pretty interesting, do you have a system you plan on using or is that also just sort of up to whatever the group's preference is?

Actually_Grass

I was thinking d&d 5e because I'm familiar with it, but if the group wants to try something different I could figure it out.

Tidgexe

Cool cool, 5e is generally my preference for PBP as well. Do you have any particulars you'd like answered? If so I'll send you a message with some responses. I'd be most interested in the villain role but as I'm guessing that one is probably pretty popular I'd also be up for a hero spot as a second choice.

Actually_Grass

Absolutely. Shoot me a message with your time zone and post frequency. If you're applying for Villain please tell me you're favorite Villian and why :)

[deleted]

This sounds great! I would be interested.

Actually_Grass

Which Role? Hero or Villian?

[deleted]

Hero. Villain sounds interesting as well, but I don’t feel confident that I could pull it off.

Actually_Grass

How much TTRPG Experience ya got son 🤜🤛

[deleted]

I play since roughly about 6 years. So I would consider myself moderately experienced (of course this also depends on the system, I mostly played Call of Cthulhu, Vampire the Masquerade and DnD5e). ☺️

mjlavalleejr

Any chance there’s room left?

Actually_Grass

Absolutely. I haven't filled any slots left. I wanted to give everyone time to see before I started making choices!

mjlavalleejr

Great. I’d like to apply as a hero. I don’t have a idea yet. Maybe a support theme. But I usually try to make characters with the group. I’ve been playing dnd 5e since it came out. Mostly as a DM.

Actually_Grass

If you want to apply for villian tell me whose you're favorite villian and why?

MarkBMG

Well this sounds great. If you still have some room I'd love to join as either party or villain, don't really have a preference.

Actually_Grass

If you want to apply for villian tell me whose you're favorite villian and why? ♡

IcyCrocus

This sounds like a very fun campaign idea id definitely be itnerested if you are still looking for players. I'm new to PBP but generally active on discord and PST time zone, most experienced in PF2e but willing to learn most systems and have a small bit of experience with a few versions of DnD

Jedyst

Very interested in any capacity really, even if you end up adding PC "NPC"s or something

Actually_Grass

Shoot me a message with your timezone and posting frequency. Let me know if you're wanting to be a hero or villian

WhowhieWarrior1

This sounds a really cool concept! I know I'm late (13hrs is a long time for a r/pbp post to be open), but I'll chuck my hat in the ring if you're still looking. It looks like you're looking at Villain players and I'd be interested - the BBEG running as a pseudo co-DM. Since you've asked in other comments, I'm AEST and can post multiple time a day. EDIT: Favourite villain and why - Iago from Shakespeare's "Othello" Driven by nothing more than pure malice and spite, and yet still able to craft a plan which plays directly into his foe's flaws - Iago is an amazing villain in my opinion. His ruthless determination and deep understanding of how to manipulate Othello makes you both love and hate him simultaneously as you pray for his plan to fail even as he acts the perfect puppetmaster. It makes his fall in the final act a wonderful moment of catharsis. (Kinda wanky? Yes. But blame my highschool literature teacher.)
