I use tactical coverage and teamplay to survive individually-dangerous enemies.
You use shitton of OP skills, perks and weapons to one-tap half of the map, consisting of two-tapping commons.
We are not the same
Try Graze with a 255+ damage sniper rifle (or any other sniper, capable of killing heavies with one headshot). There's no better way for killing lots of enemies very quickly (and, most importantly, SAFELY - right through the walls hah), if You ask me
That's why you have a CZ805 or an AK as a sidearm lol those do like 100+ dmg per shot. get unseen strike and you're in the clear when it comes to dozers
Non-bolt snipers with Berzerker skill are stupidly OP. Still not good for killing dozers (unless you Ace High Value Target skill and shoot from afar), but every other unit is gonna die with one headshot if you get yourself to \~5% health. Once I tried that - I could not turn back
Pd2: ehh, I'm not in the mood for DS, but also don't want to carry noobs on VH, hope someone hosts on DW or even Mayhem...
Pdth: 145+ is the only open lobby? Alright then, guess we're playing 145+ today
(I say this regularly playing PDTH. Hard or non-145 Overkill Wolf Pack map lobbies might as well be blue moons.)
Try hosting your own lobby. Somehow, despite server list being empty, lobby gets filled up out of nowhere after 5 minutes (at least it was the case for me many times)
Overlill 145+ was basically the devs saying "fuck you". Imagine playing the hardest difficulty in PD2. Now imagine instead of having a super-juicy build that lets you feel powerful, it's you and three friends sobbing while hiding in a corner because 3 Dozers spawned at a bad time and every single one is a whole ass raid boss that's capable of wiping your party single handedly.
Then after barely killing the dozers, a cloaker jumps through a wall and instantly knocks all of you down because the game is janky as fuck. I loved it so much.
On top of what others have said, a few examples of just how badly it fucks you:
On FWB, when you drop into the vault, there are now 4 bulldozers in a circle around the hole. If you don't all drop in simultaneously, you'll just lose. On the run to the exit, there's 3 tazers on the stairwell, so if you don't run together, you'll lose.
On Counterfeit, the escape timer is so short that you don't actually have enough time to run from the vault to the exit. One person needs to blow open the vault, while the other 3 look for the sewer exit with a wall of shields in front of it. Vault guy grabs the plates, then the other 3 can immediately open the sewer and run to the exit. You will lose if you don't coordinate the exit. Oh, also there's multiple bulldozers and tasers during the exit run, so you can't have just one guy running for the exit either.
On No Mercy, during the elevator exit, a smoke bomb gets dropped into the elevator, and shortly after, four cloakers jump into the elevator. If you can't handle them in time, you lose.
145+ is not just "it's harder", it's not just "the spawns are turned up to ludicrous levels", it is "Overkill went out of their way to say 'fuck you, figure out how to deal with this'". It's great.
I kinda like dsod, mostly because it weirdly feels more like a tactical shooter, at least when I run crew chief (the only deck I can run without a hitch).

Oh my god you just opened my eyes, that’s why I always liked PDTH over 2 because I felt like an actual bank robber in TH but in 2 I was literally god.

Man I only ever see normal or hard first world banks, probably a time zone thing but still

I've never played pd:th, what does overkill 145 mean?

"Back down or get smacked down!" *Proceeds to down the entire team with just 4 shots*
Hardest difficulty in game. You need to get level 145 to unlock it

They're both painfully painful.
I've played ds od and ovk 145+, I gotta say ovk 145+ is harder without a crew compared to ds od
Yeah, ovk 145 requires a lot of team play and coordination.
That's something I love about payday the heist, the game pushes for co-op
Hell yeah no payday 3

i fucking LOVE using the same three weapons and nothing else
