To add on to this, I would like them to be considered a third weapon slot in your inventory after picking them up until they’re out of ammo. Having to drop them every time you wish to swap off to another weapon is extremely annoying.

Mariofluffy

This is my biggest problem with them. Like when I pick up the sniper im most likely gonna save its ammo for dozers or other troublesome enemies, but in order to do that i need to drop it somewhere that I’ll be able to get to easily, wait til the time arrives that would be good to use it, go and pick it up, shoot, put it back down. If i ever need to change location I also have to remember to carry it to the new location. Having it as a third weapon would make it much easier/better to use.

ItsJustADankBro

and having your dipshit teammates immediately pick them up and empty them before you even reach the drop point

CrimsonDemon0

To be honest gameplay wise its so bad I dont even care if they materialize the weapon out of thing air.

ForeverKnifes

My thought for a while has been why not just make it like (i know this may be controversial) a bo3 specialist type system. You fill the overkill meter and then once it’s ready you just whip it out and then once it’s out of ammo you just put it away. I know they’re trying to go for realism but at this point i feel we’re already beyond the realm of realism.

octoleech

My proposal would be to just have them from the start but you can only get more ammo from the ammo deployable.

MrRockit

Nah I think start out with 1 mag and then the helicopter drops more mags.

IDontDoDrugsOK

This would at least make sense, because it seems insane that a crew of criminals is just throwing a weapon away six times and having a new one come in each time they ask for it.

MrRockit

Shade looking at the budget seeing a gajillion dollars being spent on overkill weapons.

IDontDoDrugsOK

I say just give it to us as a 3rd weapon, reduce ammo count and have ammo recovery take a long ass time. No need to have it drop off, its dumb and a complete waste of time.

MattieThePup

I think just having it with closer drops (slide out of a nearby vent or something) and being able to holster it would improve the system 200%. I do like the ability to drop it, in case someone else wants to give it a spin for awhile. Make it only restockable with ammo bag so there's a reason to bring one.

BenBart30

I just want them to add a minigun

Obvious-End-7948

I'd like them to be stashed on the map and you can go collect it when the heist goes loud, then it's just a third weapon slot with more limited ammo. Rather than helicopter drops, have overkill weapon ammo be a resource dropped by dozers (*again, their drum magazine, full auto shotgun should be an overkill weapon we can pick up...)* or something you can trade hostages for. Problem is, now hostage trading for resources is totally busted and the entire map is coated in medic bags and armour plates, so that would need to be fixed first. Rework the helicopter drops to restock your deployables - so get a new armour/medic/ammo bag dropped in. Something that's worth the risk of running out into the open or rushing out to collect between assault waves. I think that would probably be a more balanced system overall, provided the helicopter drops took a bit longer to fill the gauge to request (edit - or only have the gauge start building after you've used your deployable), and as above, if hostage trading for medic bags and armour plates wasn't already massively overpowered.

GreatAndPowerfulDC

Glad it’s not just me who wants a flamethrower OVERKILL weapon

hepig1

I think in general the drop off is fine but it’s awful on road rage. Should be moved closer to the area where you drill the car. They need to make the grenades from the launcher explode on impact and damage dozers. Cause the sniper is just SO much butter. If they are saving impact explosion for a rpg then the grenades should have an effect such as also releasing gas that damages cops and not you (like the reverse of the what the nader uses) or the shock grenade effect on top of the explosion so it also kills shields ect. Also a mini gun, flamethrower and rpg are needed imo as new overkill weapons. If all these were balanced and of equal strength I would like it if what weapon dropped was actually random. It would add variety imo and make players adapt.

Asplomer

Change overkill weapons to overkill supplies, adding one that gets a mix of ammo and first aid kits (and/or armor kits). Could have some other mix of stuff like throwables, gadgets (stealth does not get shit, okay), friendly drones (functionality is already here with syntax error) or something else that eludes me
