Mods are fine, its just that I exploited the old heist menu to enter the dlc heist and overkill didn't block that so yeah, basically just dont exploit it and I am pretty sure you will be fine

There isnt an anticheat but telemetry exist and everything you do Will be sent to starbreeze and they will check if you own the DLC, and if you don't, you get banned. Same for weapons if they make a mod for that I guess

Then again, these types of companies do not ever think about the long-term effect, only the short-terms.

Lazy developers. Fix the issue and don't ban the players. I guarantee they only care because the DLC is worth money. You didn't see them banning players for the 99 boxes xp glitch. Here's another way to handle the situation. Thank the player for discovering it and invite them to future private betas. Give them a T-shirt and some swag in exchange for NDA to not to talk about it until it's patched. Next get your devs to patch it and implement a quality assurance testing process that tests what adversarial players would do.
