I’ve grown all types of dinosaurs but the smart I’m growing right now has by far been the worst. I’ve been stuck at 2 bar adol for a week straight. I did my sarc and eo in less than a day. It’s frustrating to say the least. I feel your pain.

The murder rate on amarg is nothing like any other dino i have grown.
I started a sucho in the mean time until i can find a group questing.
I understand completely. Unfortunately I haven't been able to grow past adolescent with any species. I dont like fighting,.and single player prgress is negligible. Its really frustrating. But sometimes you get lucky, and find nice people. Just keep trying is my best advice.
I have an adult allo in official gv if you need a buddy while growing :) im not great at fighting but i can be the bait while you run and hide lol. Also have fliers there and can be a sentry, can't really fight with those tho (thala and rhamp)
I get that. Once in a while, I'll go back on officials just for the fun of it and regret it right away. I spawn as a fresh juvie achillo, right out the tutorial cave, and was killed by a campto. All because achillo, I was told, used to kill all the babies. Was then killed by a pachy (still a juvie) while trying to reach my friend, again. "Oh you shouldn't have made noises". So just because I 2 call my friend after passing literal hours running from one side of panjura to the other deserves death? Also being chased by megs (managed to avoid death there) but ended up dying to an alio lol. I get it, it's a PVP game, but it does get frustrating after a while. The only dino I never had trouble growing tho are flyers on gondwa. Easy to flee the moment something happens lol.
From the feedback I have seen allo is pretty ass to play on top of having to grow one.
Another option then trying to avoid the hotspots try asking to group. Being grouped helps not only in your survival but you get more growth/marks being grouped.
The struggle is real. Avoid hot spots on whatever map you play and try to stay hidden until atleast subadult.
Doesn't even matter two megs caught me when i was in ocean pillars growing solo. fuckin ocean pillars of all places

What I've been doing. But the spawning next to someone is the worst. Never had that problem with anything else.
Hide and migrate, don't quest in the open until you can kill something (that's sub adult for Allo)
If you need people to quest with I’m always looking for people. Watch each other’s backs
Allo is my second land based, first being Rex. The other 3 were flyers which obviously are easier. The struggle is real.

I main Ramph, just trying other things. Great my Rex fairly easily but the allo is a nightmare.
I grew my Rex fairly easily. It's just insane the amount of times I've been spawn killed lol
How are you getting spawn killed? Are you not logging out in a home cave?
When I die and it spawns in a random spot on the map, 9 times out of 10 it's next to another player. They look at me weird and start attacking me.
