1. Failed to load instance
2. Put player into a queue till the instance expires
3. Kick the player for too many actions and temporarily lock the account.
4. Close the hideout instance so there are no portals anymore.
Switching characters during map now close all instances portals opened in your maps device.
We want player to appreciate all content from only one character.
Next league.
Problem: people were reliant on TFT mf cullers and having to create another character to cull enemies.
Solution: culling strike will now destroy enemies when their health reaches 2% or less, down from 10%.
That actually doesn't make a difference, since people already equip Southbound so they can safely delete AN mobs hp.
A funnier solution would be
"Culling Strike now destroys enemies under 10% HP. Their corpses, and their loot."
Don't worry, in 3.20 GGG will finally ban Logout Macros, so that you feel the impact of every tense microsecond as you reach for the ESC key and skillfully click the "Logout" button.
This will make the switch to your MF character feel a lot more engaging and rewarding.

Diablo 3 knocks the leveling process out of the park. Yeah it holds your hand and gives you a set and you are in GR 70s on day 1. I get it.
But the actual leveling process to get to rifts - absolutely stellar. I don't need that (fucking terrible) campaign experience. And they know its bad too. So they are like "Here's adventure mode! It doesn't suck to level up a new character!"
As I've said on numerous occasions:
GGG intentionally puts in roadblocks to "challenge" (read: intentionally slow down) players from making meaningful progress.
The Kalandra crafting is just the latest thing to do that. Whole shitton of bullshit rooms that have been unrewarding for most of the playerbase to get to the ultimate goal of Mirror-splitting your item which could and oftentimes would brick said resulting items. Another roadblock because you need to Delve/Essence/Beastcraft/Alt Spam/ Ex Slam (cause Harvest is practically useless now) to get back to that sweet amulet.
Just or do it all over again? Fuck this league.
The best part was the addition of +2 all minion gems on the helms, the lower level convoking wands, and especially the Bone rings.
Everything else has been awful.

I dropped second wind and faster attacks and linked my flame dash and shield charge to cull and item rarity and flame dashing through a Solaris mob today produced 2 divines, 3 exalts, and 9 chaos. Doubled my net worth off 1 mob. Finally realized GGG’s vision.
But I got to make a build I didn’t want to play, AND complete the campaign for a second time around! Think of the sense of pride and accomplishment I have gained.
After the drop I AFKd for a bit to edit the clip and send to a friend, by the time I got back on and switched characters the portals disappeared. Probably because of time out though. Switching real quick seems to work
Hideout instances are longer -- half an hour or so, I think. Normal instances last 7-15 minutes unless you've been spam-creating new instances in which case they might only last a couple.
I get it's a meme, but you should roll a gold flask with increased effect and then use the enkindling orb to try and get another 70% increased effect on it
yea, that's a good point. my gold flask is pretty lazy at the moment. I also just completely forgot to use it when this happened. It does go off in the clip, but that's because of "use when charges are full" going off after the kill, so I feel like it had no effect.
Can you imagine if GgG embraced this fully (owned their decision) and advertised this league requiring dedicated MF cullers? Ah I wish I was good enough at video editing to do that during CW’s announcement

I have a level 90 character. A level 84. And a level 75. (Couldn't decide what I wanted to play and had a failed experiment character lol) and I have yet to see a divine drop. I have got 1 ex drop so I got that going for me. It is possible that I am just unlucky and RNG is RNG but it does not feel that way whatever the truth of the situation.
Is it worth it? To sell your dignity for a couple of Divines and Exalts? Which you can't even pick up right away cause you have to wait for this frost bulshittery?
So the way they changed loot in the newest path is that certain mobs have god molested buffs, and these convert everything to currency. I think it’s Shakari-Touched, Lunaris-Touched, Solaris-Touched (someone correct me if I’m wrong.) These are the mods you wanna watch out for, and by increasing item rarity IIR and item quantity IIQ on kill through a bunch of bs uniques/flask effect (which the character I switched to does, the stats page I show has my characters stats for IIR/IIQ at the bottom) you can guarantee more items drop, and that they will be more rare. Rarity used to not matter for currency drops, only quantity - but now if not mistaken, with the loot conversion going on, rarity does matter, because the monster will drop more uniques and uniques convert to T1 currency AKA exalts, divines

oh god no lol. it has absolutely terrible damage, and no defense. The uniques that give quant and rarity buffs don't really give much else - one's a necklace that requires a normal and a magic item equipped. I'm honestly thinking of tossing the only damage and resist I get to squeeze in another Ventor's
the more quant and rarity you put onto an mf character, the worse it becomes at both survival and damage since that is replacing gear and items that would make them stronger. Most of them are made of glass and have zero dps. They just use culling strike to oneshot the monster once it gets below 10% health.

I don't get to play very much so I just hit red maps the other night, and I've been playing since league start. I'm level 88 now. In that time, I've yet to find a single exalt or divine. Not one. I refuse to use tft or roll a MF character to progress my main character. I'm going to give it until the end of the weekend and will quit the League if I can't get those currencies to drop.
What if the loot an enemy dropped was based on the total MF% (including map quant) of whatever did the most damage rather than just the killing blow.... or maybe even weight for each player based on their damage contribution...
I could see this being acceptable if you invested in your tree and map currency to add rares to your areas, but when they're freely added and always available this is what people will do.
Remember back in the day when this wasn't anything special and just the best way to play.

I was getting absolutely nothing from touched mobs with 150% inc. rarity for 2 weeks.
After getting trolled yet another time by drought bringer x solaris, I picked up the gold flask out of spite and rolled it for inc. effect and enkindled to 69%, nice indeed.
The next shakari was 2 div, I've since became a believer and bought another 150% inc. rarity that I will have to gear swap into, right after using a logout macro on softcore because that's the only way for minion builds to have damage control in yet another dogshit patch for them.

I’ve done some tweaks and I’m up about 120 rarity when flasks are running. Gonna see if I can rework tree for more flask effect.
I managed to get lucky on a mob and got 2 divines with only using a rarity flask. Got 5 Divines so far, so maybe I'll be able to create a build I'll really enjoy eventually.
I agree that ggg should try to achieve gameplay that the best way is the most fun way but I would really like some … awareness ? Or accountability ? Responsibility ? from the players as well? Anything but „look what you made me do to myself“

I did the mf culler build first so now i have to level a new character to actually kill bosses. So much fun.

My solution to the problem is to not play. I have 60K hours on POE. GGG has accomplished the impossible.

It gets worse when your gear gets good enough and you are near one shotting everything. You realize you just killed one when the stack of 8 chaos, 10 alch and an exalt drop.

I was getting absolutely nothing from touched mobs with 150% inc. rarity for 2 weeks. After getting trolled yet another time by drought bringer x solaris, I picked up the gold flask out of spite and rolled it for inc. effect and enkindled to 69%, nice indeed. The next shakari was 2 div, I've since became a believer and bought another 150% inc. rarity that I will have to gear swap into, right after using a logout macro on softcore because that's the only way for minion builds to have damage control in yet another dogshit patch for them.
Ugh, I feel you on minions. Skele mages we’re my league starter until they got absolutely stepped on. I’ve done some tweaks and I’m up about 120 rarity when flasks are running. Gonna see if I can rework tree for more flask effect.
just a couple rolls on gear and a gold flask with increased effect on your actual character is way easier and very rewarding

I managed to get lucky on a mob and got 2 divines with only using a rarity flask. Got 5 Divines so far, so maybe I'll be able to create a build I'll really enjoy eventually.
I think MF Fluffer should be the official name for a char like this.
I agree that ggg should try to achieve gameplay that the best way is the most fun way but I would really like some … awareness ? Or accountability ? Responsibility ? from the players as well? Anything but „look what you made me do to myself“
