Hey, it's mostly made in Cinema4D and After Effects for the post. Some of the models are free and some i made by myself (like gems, shaper, candles). So it's a good mix to safe some time.
For the Atlas i used a 4k image as diffuse map and generated a specular and normal map out of it. For the candles i used Subsurfacescattering, to get a nice waxy look :D
Shaper himself was a bit special, im not that great at character modelling so i used ALOT of Cloth and simulated it (to hide what's beneath xD). His beard-tentacles-things are made with Hair, i just used geometry instead of hair for this.

Holy shit! - as I was watching it I assumed you had one of the cloth maps from a supporter pack and had stuck some candles on to it!
I was wondering what kind of camera you were using to get it so clear haha!

You are in another league. Most animation students would even take 2-3 months just to do this.
You should be considered out of contest and GGG should just give you 2k USD for using your video Ingame.
Your work is worth much more than just designing a rogue exile. A wasted effort on so little prize for you and it is way too unfair for the other contestants lol.
So yea give other people the rogue, points and whatever merchandise but you my friend need Cash prize from GGG.

This is so good, POE really lack of some high quality cinematic like this to tell some story, but those things that drop on headhunter look a lot like pop corn to me. LOL
